Video: Michelle serves stimulus-pork barbecue in Denver

posted at 9:10 pm on February 17, 2009 by Allahpundit

Evening fun for dessert. The white meat comes courtesy of a roast pig, the red meat comes courtesy of MM and Sir Tancelot, stirred from retirement by the trillion-dollar alarm bells ringing in his ears. You’ll find photos of the boss serving the masses here and here; for vid, click the image and skip ahead to 4:00. Why, I had no idea she was so good with a crowd. It almost makes me wish we had another amnesty bill circulating so that we’d have an excuse to get her out front at some rallies.

Almost.

eh on February 17, 2009 at 10:33 PM

eh, have you even read any of the articles on the vdare site? I just read three–one by an Italian-American, one by a Native American, and another by a Mexican-American. That’s pretty diverse for a white supremacist web site.

The point of the articles was mainly about preserving and educating others about AMERICAN culture, not white American culture. And so what if some idiots on Stormfront agree with one of Michelle’s points? They probably agree with HuffPo on one or two things. Does that make HuffPo a white supremacist site?

You’re being disingenuous. Either you’re lying about vdare or you’re just parroting whatever HuffPo tells you. Why don’t you think for yourself for once?

Oh please, one of the new trolls needs to go back to hiding under his bridge. Or stay here and learn something.

What if I

…forge active coalitions with white racialist ideologues in the course of opposing illegal immigration, while encouraging legal immigration.

Does that make me a RACIST?

If you really think opposing illegal immigration is no different then legal immigration and if opposing one while supporting another makes me a RACIST then sign me up.

Heck every Country I ever went to had some government agency in place to make sure the legal vs illegal difference was followed. I guess every government is a bunch of RACISTS.

Please explain to me how my opposition to illegal immigration is not based on the color of skin (that is what you say correct) and it is based solely on the method of how the immigrant arrived in this country (their actions not mine) makes me a RACIST

You show no evidence that she pals around with anyone. Additionally, you dig very deep to find your correlating comment containing the worse kind of racial slur when there were many much easily found which would have made your point without the slur. Typical liberal race baiting. You are a pathetic person with seemingly little value. Piss off.

genso on February 17, 2009 at 10:49 PM

I waited until now to comment. Eh (is that the shortened version of Meh?) starts with his pre-conclusion that MM is a racist. Therefore, anything that might hint of this must be proof. Typical leftist thinking. If one of her columns is reprinted (without her permission) on a racist blog, that is incontrovertible proof of her racism? Work for the logically impaired.

Eh, if you feel MM is racist, and by your illogic, so is HA, then get off this site!

Otherwise, drop the racist firewall and start using your brain. Immigration is perfectly legal and desired by America, but must follow certain LAWs. If one does not adhere to the LAWs, then the act in question, immigration, becomes ILLEGAL. So people who sneak across the border in violation of US immigration laws are ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS.

You got that? Not racist. Just factual.

I wish I could have gone, but I have one of those pesky things called a job.

Today I was embarrassed to be a resident of Colorado thanks to our “grand and glorious” governor, who is almost as clueless as the obamamessiah. However, I was very proud of those citizens who protested peacefully and respectfully. It was a refreshing change.

If this bill was such an “emergency”, why did the obamamessiah feel it was necessary to take a short vacation before signing the bill in Denver of all places?

The obamamessiah is an abosolute hypocrite. He has used more energy since becomming POTUS than can be generated by the solar panels on the museum in the next 10 years. This guy is a joke, but unfortunately it isn’t funny.

the splc is indeed a bad source. it is a radical leftwing site which uses ati-racism as a front for it’s own crusade against pluralism. they have listed the american enterprise institute as a “hate group”.

this is why i didn’t use their claims as a source.

eh,
I read your links and they do not support your contention that vdare is a white supremacist site unless you take selective quotes from them. I do consider Pat Buchanan an anti-Semite, but so are many on the left.

By your definition, if MM pals around with white supremacists, then so does every member of the Senate simply because they are associated with Robert Byrd. The mission of v-dare has nothing to do with white supremacy and everything to do with preserving our American Heritage for Americans of all races . You are engaging in slander by saying what you did about MM and v-dare.

Isn’t this the same kind of guilt by association stuff you lefties whined about when people brought up Obama’s association with Ayers?

eh,

No, my point is that the loose association of the writers of vdare does not make MM guilty of harboring white supremacist sympathies simply because one of the writers is or used to be a white supremacist. No one has a pure background. People screw up and make mistakes. As long as vdare does not makes claims of white supremacy, it is dishonest for you to claim that it is because of one writer’s past beliefs or associations. I think it was wrong for people to draw similar conclusions about Obama because of Ayers past.

drflykilla on February 17, 2009 at 11:16 PM

Or, maybe your Ron Paul feelings have been hurt?

workingforpigs on February 18, 2009 at 12:18 AM

Let me guess that you don’t live in a very heavily immigrant area. (And I don’t mean that your town has a section of immigrants.) I mean that you live elbow to elbow and are exposed to their “culture” on a regular basis. (And I don’t mean that occasionally you eat in their restaurants.) I think that those who are above the working class/middle class bracket have no idea of the problems of unfettered immigration. It’s all fine and good when you are in your nice neighborhood and your kids go to your nice local schools. Newsflash….you shouldn’t have to be rich in America to avoid living in a third world sh!thole. And unfortunately that is what many parts of this once fine country are becoming.

now, here’s where it becomes cynical. malkin devotes thousands of hours to exposing racist remarks made by people she is not in cahoots with. that all of this work is a work of hipocrisy, only makes her much like a liberal in that sense.

it gets really appalling when she employs the “you’re a racist” attack against conservatives, for instance, with the stupid anti-immigration argument that immigration moderates want to “exploit” latinos as “slaves” because they’re secretly racist, or when she led the crusade against ron paul by noting that racists like him.

Dave R. on February 18, 2009 at 1:07 AM

Eh has a point.

I am sure that Mrs. Malkin has no sympathy for white supremacist thought. And most of the posts on VDare are not racist. But VDare has quite explicitly endorsed writers who espouse white supremacism (although they call it ‘white nationalism’). Mrs. Malkin would be well-advised to dissociate herself from this organization.

Here, VDare publishes an article by Jared Taylor, calling him “the most brilliant and accomplished figure among White Nationalists”:

http://www.vdare.com/taylor/050714_paved.htm

Here is a quote from one of Taylor’s articles:

“To be sure, the story of Hurricane Katrina does have a moral for anyone not deliberately blind. The races are different. Blacks and whites are different. When blacks are left entirely to their own devices, Western Civilization—any kind of civilization—disappears. And in a crisis, civilization disappears overnight.”

http://www.amren.com/mtnews/archives/2005/09/africa_in_our_m.php

This is quite clearly racist. And this man is unequivocally endorsed by the editors at VDare. Incidentally, Taylor wouldn’t have a problem with Mrs. Malkin. He has said: “I think Asians are objectively superior to Whites by just about any measure that you can come up with…” So maybe “white supremacist” isn’t the most accurate characterization. But “blatant and unrepentant racist” certainly is.

Jazzman on February 18, 2009 at 1:30 AM

I know MM is against illegal immigration, but I haven’t heard her be as against legal immigration as Tancredo is.
In any case Tancredo is wrong as to the thinking that the number of legal immigrants will take American Jobs away from natural born citizens. There isn’t a magic number of jobs, and once you hit that limit there are no more jobs. What takes jobs away is when government / unions saps the energy of business owners to where they can’t seize opportunities as quickly as a free market.
And as far as the legal immigrants not assimilating, I highly doubt that…in my opinion as long as they speak English, are pro-American, are a hard working law abiding citizen…then who are you to be the arbiter on which cultural items are ok and which ones are unfit? How un-American. You are no different from the elitists who gave the Irish a hard time when they landed because they were Irish.

Conservative Voice on February 18, 2009 at 4:39 AM

Conservative Voice on February 18, 2009 at 4:39 AM

Leave it to the idiot fonze ‘ehhhhhh’. to hijack a great day and it was. Got there late with my pig snout but all in all it was encouraging to see all the people.

Many were there on their lunch break because they WORK! I hope this is a trend with the right. More rallies!!
Surprising was the local news on site.

Thanks Michelle, Tom, John (my favorite local talk guy)!

Everybody knows Bush is the Nazi, right, genius?

How about Michelle and Coulter in a pulled-pork and BBQ sauce wrestling gig? That ought to raise their conservative profiles. Have the PETA girl-on-girls referee.

Sports involving cooked meat products are illegal here in Canada, so this would be a dream come true.

to clarify, the reason why I doubt legal immigrants not assimilating is because in general legal immigrants become more American than the natural born citizens who are infatuated with socialism.

Where do you live?

Jim,

I think that was his grandpappy.

If Bryan was still here, I believe he would have pulled the plug on “eh” a long time ago. Not for censorship, I believe he had a lower tolerance for Trolls than AP and Ed.

It does not matter where I live. You are turning this into an emotional debate instead of relying on principles and standards. But from my personal experience, legal immigrants benefit America in the same way owners take care of property generally than renters ( illegal immigrants are the renters ) and new owners who lived in poverty ( poverty in terms of freedom and opportunity ) tend to take more pride in their new home than those who were just given a home from their daddy ( ie natural born citizens who are slugs )
I don’t fear other cultures, I fear socialists, I fear ILLEGAL immigration. Speak English, work hard and keep your nose clean, put your loyalty and allegiance to the flag and everything it stands for…and I will shake your hand and gladly call you an American.

To answer your question, where I live, I am in the minority…a conservative white guy in Hawaii.

She still refuses to leave her husband to come live with me. Same for Sarah Palin. And Amanda Carpenter. And MKH.

What….do my pits smell or something?

Bishop on February 17, 2009 at 9:19 PM

Yes, we’ve been in the “bunker” and on “the ramparts” together… Your a tad bit ripe… Sorry, just saying.

Still going to “war” with you will be my honor, just stay down range a smidge…

Look, I think that you are thinking that I dislike immigrants. That could not be farther from the truth. Until the Immigration Act of 1965 this country got a very nice mix of hard working, patriotic, pro-America immigrants. Since then we have been overwhelmed with hispanics. In particular, Mexicans. Now because most of them have no loyalty to anything other the the American dollar, they are not in the same category as immigrants of old. I don’t want to be snippy but you have no authority on this subject until you have lived as I have lived. There are days when wherever I go, I barely HEAR English let alone your fantasy of everyone learning it. My junk mail used to be all Spanish (not English & Spanish), billboards are in Spanish only, Do you get that here in Dallas it is possible to go about your daily life and NEVER speak a word of English? My neighbor, who was a sweet old guy has lived here for 50 years and literally cannot speak a word of English. Now, that neighborhood was 98% hispanic which about 75% were illegal, according to the liberal Dallas Morning News. Thankfully, I have moved and where I am now is a truly mixed neighborhood. So before you go judging me maybe you should think about how Hawiian culture would be destroyed if we plopped down about 2 million non-English speaking Mexicans. Trust me. You wouldn’t like it.

look at my minimum requirements, we are on the same page. I have lived in CA and Utah with a high hispanic population. If they were all legal, who spoke English, who were hard working people who kept their noses clean, and were pro American, then I have no problem. What you are describing is describing what I don’t advocate. With the majority not speaking English and here as illegals, they have no loyalty to America…that creates problems on one wants.
Again Tancredo made the argument that LEGAL immigration with as low as that is, is a major problem. No it isn’t. Illegal immigration is a huge problem, but we should make it easier to be a legal citizen.
