If you guys didn’t post threads like this, nobody would know who Shuster is, except as being the guy that Scarborough dressed down rather decisively during the primaries. Usually I feel for people that are balding, but with Shuster I really hope that shiny patch on the back of his head (they hide it well) grows until he is out of a anchor chair.

For another, the Foxies have become more overt about their own bias by dropping Colmes and plugging Beck in at 5 p.m.

Colmes quit on his own, and the Beck move was in the works before that announcement if my memory is correct. I’m suprised Colmes stayed as long as he did, having to night in and night out explain and defend Democrat theories and actions that up to that point was largely unknown by the general public. On top of that, constantly having to spin Conservative and Repulican theories and actions into a bad light even though Conservatives and Republicans weren’t ashamed or trying to hide them. Unlike the Democrats.

Oh stop!! with ‘the Dems usually win’. Their power is RECENT! They’ve only been in power about 4 weeks, generally speaking. And, with luck, positive thinking, hard work and money, they’ll be out again sooner or later. Defeatism NEVER works. And promulgating it certainly won’t. Sheesh!! Don’t buy into their propaganda. For one thing, it let’s down those guys in the House who showed the way. For another, that kind of talk won’t galvanize the base.

MSNBC are “journalists” who give their opinions. Fox are commentators who give their opinion. If msnbc were to offer conservative points of view, it would force them to argue thier liberal points and to ADMIT they are partisan commentators. This absence of opposing viewpoints allows them to continue their lie.

I still think it troubling that so much of Fox’s programming is given to conservative/libertarian radio talkers (Hannity, Beck) and O’Reilly (who is sometimes conservative, sometimes liberal, and always a loud mouthed populist) — who incidentally, also does talk radio.

Fox earned its reputation and ratings by being a network that wasn’t afraid to give you conservative viewpoints and to cover hard news in a fair & balanced way. But Fox worked hard over the years to present a liberal perspective so that (1) the network would have cross-over appeal, particularly to independents, and (2) conservatives wouldn’t find themselves caught in an echo chamber. Our ideas are honed in the clash of ideas with the left. It’s best we not forget that.

What a foul bunch of creatures control the political process and discourse these days. I wouldn’t leave either of those guys, or barney frank, chuck schumer or harry reid, alone in a room with children. Not only are they creepy and likely perverted, they are dumb as stumps. They got what they wanted, they got nearly unanimous democrat support in congress yet they still can’t get past that the republicans opposed the bill. They should be rejoicing that their they and and only they will get credit for solving the economic crisis.

When the revolution comes the hardest ticket to get will be the ones for the firing squad when guys like this go up against the wall.

Most economists wanted something done, just not this corruption lined pork bill.

MadisonConservative Your point is the basis of the problem with any tinkering with free speech or the information sources by the government. Such tinkering is worse with the left wing. They already have most MM in their pocket. But they see them as centrist.

However, if The One has a radical agenda, he must quash dissent. And unlike the comment about dragging people on the back of my truck, there is every reason to believe that he will eventually go there.
