Comment registration open at Hot Air; Update: Registration closed
posted at 9:30 am on February 16, 2009 by Ed Morrissey
It’s been about three months since the last open registration day, so we’re opening the books once again. First read our Terms of Service, and if you agree, register through this link and follow the steps. Be patient; we have to approve the first comment of each new registrant, so please don’t keep resubmitting when it doesn’t appear immediately. We will eventually get them all.
Welcome to Hot Air!
Update: Registration is now closed. Thanks for registering!

I’ve waited so long for registration to open that I’ve forgotten what I was going to say.

Figured it was safe to just throw a random (non)-comment in this thread to make sure I know how this thing works. Hopefully, I’ll have something more substantive to say soon enough.
jdp629 on February 16, 2009 at 9:50 PM
Great to be here amongst many like minded folks.

Longtime Malkin fan, daily reader, very happy to get an account that can comment. Thanks.

Welcome to our newest contributors. This is a great place to share information and opinions with others of wit and depth.
Entelechy: That CFP piece gathers in one succinct article the mystery and danger of Obama. Our incurious media have not done their vetting jobs to the detriment of our nation.
onlineanalyst on February 16, 2009 at 9:51 PM
Good names, both for you and the ‘doctrine’. I’ve been trying to come up with one to characterize the Orwellian ‘Fairness Doctrine’, and the Fascist Doctrine might be it.
I followed Ed Morrissey to this site from his late, lamented Captain’s Quarters blog, and I’m glad I did, though CQ was less given to endless strings of one-liners (or paragraphs which should have been one-liners—including, arguably, this one).
With more members, these threads will take even longer to get through, which means I’ll read fewer of them (when one of you figures out how to expand Time, let me know). But welcome to one of my two favorite conservative sites on the Internet (the other being Power Line).

My second posting…
Started reading HA right after the 08 election and was amazed at all the people actually against Obama and what danger this new administration poses to our nation.
The liberals would lead you to mis believe conservative voices are dwindling….don’t buy into that. Stand strong.
I have not watched national TV news in months.I have not believed national printed news in months either.
felix on February 16, 2009 at 9:57 PM
Malkin fan here, but I’m sure I’ll be spending a fair amount of time here as well.
Now what?
charliebrownat40 on February 16, 2009 at 9:59 PM
I haven’t bought into it since well before the first liberal started screaming like a child of how Bush supposedly “stole” the 2000 election. You know, right after Gore conceded.
charliebrownat40 on February 16, 2009 at 10:02 PM
Sweetness!
I was just wondering a couple of days ago if I would ever be so lucky.

Third posting………
Now I can vent and rage about the upcoming infrastructure work…having worked in road/bridge/structure construction, in engineering for 32 years, please understand this work in the stimulus will incur thousands of un-necessary bureaucrats…to administer the the spending of this money.
Those jobs (work) won’t go away, the rod busters, paving crews, hourly labor will. The Federal dole rolls on.

Seriously, the Palin family is the most interesting and intriguing political personalities out there. lol
Sarah is going to talk about Oboma’s stimulus package next.
For all others who are interested in her like I am, definately watch Greta’s replay later. Maybe someone can link the video here for tomorrow.

Clyde5445 on February 16, 2009 at 10:36 PM
Welcome to the new members. I hope you are here in a sincere and add tot the debate way.
I just saw Palin on Greta too. I think she is incredible. She is the only person who can talk about Obama in a rational and normal way. She gets in her good points clearly and concisely.

Loved the Steeler posts Ed.
Good job keeping up the angst Allah, and keep in mind that there may be a nonfrightful existance known through God.
I don’t agree with Michelle, but enjoy reading her blogs.
And, I cashed the $600 stimulus ( socialist welfare ) check from the Bush Gubment.
Cheers

er, “the” noob thread.
hawkdriver on February 16, 2009 at 11:03 PM
Well, this will be fun. I’ve posted on several conservative sites in the past, so I thought I’d try my luck at a “middle-of-the-road” conservative site.
HammerToss on February 16, 2009 at 11:04 PM
And she wasn’t ready for prime time? Please. Her head and her heart are in the right place. Our loss. On her big issue, energy, Obama will have us rubbing sticks while his administration is over-subsidizing a bunch of useless alternative fuels. (Ethanol, how’s that working out? I guess now it will be West Coast rat crap.)
Sigh.

Hi all. First time post… anywhere…ever. Been a huge fan of Michelle’s for a while now, and have really started turning to sites like this one to keep some sense of sanity and direction in these mind-numbing times.
P.S. I’m from MA, so the numb minds I’m surrounded by usually aren’t any help!

wow. thanks for the opportunity to share pertinent comments.
I’m very interested in the polling numbers for support/oppose Obama and found a page that tracks the daily numbers.
If anyone else is interested in the daily ebb and flow of POTUS approval rating here is the link URL:

He’s holding at 60% on Feb. 16 – almost 1 month after he was sworn in to the office January.
Again, thanks.
