That was painful to watch.
Chuck the Schmuck and Aunt Esther are enough to make anyone lose their appetite by themselves. Adding Graham makes it even worse.
Off with their (talking) heads!

Stop that, now. Grandpa Munster was a good guy! Just as he was on “Car 54….”
I hate to see Al Lewis’s memory being tarnished that way.
And I also apologize to the ghost of Aunt Esther.

Yeah……….. especially Grahmnesty when you have two of the clowns that caused this whole mess in the first place right in your sights……
……… and you don’t even fire a shot.

I sent a whole case of pork rinds to Schumer’s office. I know many others did too. Wonder what they did with them?

Heh.
OT: Legend has it that casting directors for Sanford and Son thought that LaWanda Page (RIP) was too young-looking and attractive for the role of Aunt Esther, but Redd Foxx–an old friend of Page’s–put his foot down. They had to ugly Page up and the rest is history.

Graham, Lugar and McCain all voted no on the porkulus. There are quite a few red-state dems that voted yes, Begich(Ak), Lincoln and Pryor(Ar), Landriou(La), McCasskil(Mo), Bauchus and Tester(Mt), Conrad and Dorgan(ND), Nelson(Ne), Johnson(SD), Byrd and Rockefeller(WV), and those are just the states that went for McCain and not the purple ones Obama flipped, that is where our anger should be focused.

Mary Landrieu only cares about New Orleans and not the rest of Louisiana. Her offices were basically telling us that because the Dems won, she’s going to vote with the dems even though the only people who want the stimulus bill are NOLA Democrats who have been sucking the teet of the government for generations.
She acts like a conservative when she panders for votes but she’s as liberal as they come. Maybe next time the Louisiana GOP will run a real conserviative against her in 2014. I’m hoping Steve Scalise (LA 1) will consider a run for her senate seat.

Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life.
Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking.
Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”
Ladywolfnl on February 16, 2009 at 2:13 AM
No, no, no, no — I think that what I’ve said is what other economists have said across the political spectrum, which is that if you delay acting on an economy of this severity, then you potentially create a negative spiral that becomes much more difficult for us to get out of. We saw this happen in Japan in the 1990s, where they did not act boldly and swiftly enough, and as a consequence they suffered what was called the “lost decade” where essentially for the entire ’90s they did not see any significant economic growth.
- Barack Obama
In total, Japan spent $6.3 trillion on construction-related public investment between 1991 and September of last year, according to the Cabinet Office. The spending peaked in 1995 and remained high until the early 2000s, when it was cut amid growing concerns about ballooning budget deficits.
In the end, say economists, it was not public works but an expensive cleanup of the debt-ridden banking system, combined with growing exports to China and the United States, that brought a close to Japan’s Lost Decade. This has led many to conclude that spending did little more than sink Japan deeply into debt, leaving an enormous tax burden for future generations.
- The New York Times
President Obama and liberal intellectuals continue to perpetuate the textbook Keynesian theory that increased government spending is the best way to revive the economy, but they do not cite one real-world historical example in which such policies have been successful, and they brush aside countless examples of such policies being an abject failure. Last night, Obama added a new twist by citing an example to make his point, when in reality the example undermines him. Either he’s ignorant of what happened in Japan, or he correctly thought he could slip one past an ignorant press corps. Neither possibility is encouraging.
- The American Spectator

Well there it is, isn’t it…………
………. with respect, jerrytbg, I am not pointing you out, but I have heard that sentiment starting to rumble a little around the edges that I just wanted to add my $0.02.
Before anyone stops adding their own unique intelligence, point of view, experience, and especially humor to the mix, take a step back and see what has happened to our country…..
…. the liberal left have been chopping away at our Republic one hack at time with “liberalism” for the past fifty years.
It seems that they have finally struck a cord, and feel comfortable to reveal themselves for who they are with a Democrat controlled Congress and Executive power, and the hard shift to the left………….
…… I say, that even though the liberals control a majority of the “media” we have this wonderful venue to talk to each other,. spread ideas, and spread information that would never make it on the cover of the New York Times.
The genie is out of the bottle………..
…… They can’t shut us down. If one of us, just one of us starts being harassed or abused by a government agency for our free speech rights, don’t you think that word would spread like wildfire?
They are over reaching, and I am hearing from thousands that were in the middle on the last election, who are seriously pissed off……
………… Never give up! Never give in for fear! Never be afraid to speak your mind if you have taken the time to be well informed and you back your argument up with facts and not just talking points!
If you do give up …………. they win, and the United States of America as we knew it growing up, will not exist anymore.
I for one………..
………. am not going to let that happen.

Rush and Hannity he likes to bait
But if he had any wisdom to go down that road he would hesitate
As Obama’s snake oil starts to be seen through
He will add to his bag of tricks some more venom too
If scarin’ folks dont do the trick
His health care system will make you all sick
With Harry and Nancy he likes to whore
Wont be forever till more and more know the score
If this poem seems disjoint
That it takes that to describe Obama’s nature may be the point

“I went home and got primary opponents when I wanted to be bipartisan”
That’s the problem, these guys all think they should be elected for life. 100 mini dictators in the senate. We have to get rid of the amendment, I think it’s the 17th, that makes the senate an electable position. That was the beginning of our problems when senators went from being elected by the state legislatures to being a generally elected position. After that, any politician who gets a face lift should be barred from public office for life. You hear that schumer you butt pirate?

Every Repub but three did the right thing. Those three knew exactly how they were undermining their party. In fact to leave no doubt, they voted twice. This monstrously lies at their feet.
We cannot control the Dems but we can bring pressure to bear on Repubs. Collins, Snowe and Specter need to be thrown out of the party. As Repubs they have empowered Schumer, Waters etc.
This bill will haunt the country for decades by way of its cost including interest and the moral hazard going forward.

These are the politicians of the past.Be a politician of the future. Run for a local race: school board, city council, mayor, county clerk… whatever is remotely possible.
We need to nurture a new breed of politician who believes that the Constitution is there to LIMIT government and ensure our LIBERTY. If you can’t fix what’s wrong with Washington or your State Capitol, fix what’s wrong with your community. It will grow from there.
I’m running for City Council. I’m a political unknown. I’m underfunded. I’m running against an incumbent who has spoiled her constituents with community centers, dog parks, and other money pits. (And used eminent domain rather freely to do it) I don’t care. I’m running on the strength of the few core principles that founded our Nation.
Win or lose, I’m sending our message. Who else has the courage to try?
pugwriter on February 16, 2009 at 7:50 AM
There are hundreds of excellent GOP congressmen, governors, & state legislators.
How many non-GOP conservatives like you are there in the USA with any authority? One? Two?
If you want to do any good at all for conservatism, work to make the GOP more conservative & more electable. Yes, the GOP can be both if we do a good job of explaining conservatism like Reagan & Newt did in their heyday.

I concur. We cannot allow this to happen. The odds are stacked against us as they have used the government to strengthen their hand, but we have something they cannot take away – The Truth.
It seems most obvious that what politicians are trying to do now is to establish a government god. An iron beast that they think cannot be toppled. Let me state this message to the unbelievers and the doubters – It can’t be denied that the last administration expanded the welfare state, and that this administration is determined to finish the job. The purpose of this welfare state is to establish an immovable bureaucracy, one that takes the role of giver of life, giver of goods, provider of services. At its core it is nothing less than the establishment of a government that seeks to replace God. Politicians worship the state, they see themselves as angels of this state god, and they seek to shepherd the sheep. You are that sheep.

On this Presidents Day, I believe Washington and Lincoln would have both advocated overthrowing today’s government and start over.

I can’t watch it. I read elsewhere that NY State is getting $20+ Billion from the porkulus package. No wonder Chuckie Schmuckie is leering….which reminds me….I need to go take my morning Schmumer.
(and kudos to pugwriter for running for office!)
Let’s roll….and boycott Maine!
