Speaking of which, has anyone seen the background info on the folks who asked Obama questions down in Florida?

Where are their tax returns, Child payment records, employment records, any and all court cases of folks with same or similar names?.

DSchoen on February 15, 2009 at 5:10 PM

Employment records? What employment?

Tax returns? See above. If you don't work, you don't pay taxes.

The Obama people must have searched long and hard to round up such a bunch of wimps and whiners in Fort Myers. My parents live there, and it's mostly a rich retirement area.

To paraphrase Alan Funt: "Cry!!! You're on Obama Candidate Camera!"

Bwaahaahaahaa!

Then they take their "stimulus" checks and laugh all the way to the bank.

Obama claims that, at worst, he will “save three million jobs“… (from his own incompetencies).

Start counting.

jeanie on February 15, 2009 at 10:30 AM

And not a single media outlet complaining that after only 3 weeks he is on vacation while the country is burning to the ground! Remember, after only a little over a week, he and michelemybelle went to read to school children because they were "tired of being in the WH"!

Good grief, he will never withstand a real catastrophe...

Also, does anyone else find it delusional for the media to call the passage of this bill a huge victory for PBO? If I have heard this once, I have heard it a thousand times.
Just exactly how is it a big victory? This is what it is going to be like for the next few years. I expect they will be fawning over his every move ad nauseum.

I, too am finding it necessary to quell my rage with him and all who voted him in. I feel like Sally Fields in Steel Magnolias, I just want to hit someone.

Imagine that!

I was trying to find this “stim plan” on Obama’s web site.
Couldn’t find it, but this kinda sorta jumped out1

ETHICS

The ethics section is currently being revised to reflect President Obama's Executive Order concerning Ethics Commitments by Executive Branch Personnel, issued on January 21, 2009. Please check back soon.

The Dems wrote it, they lobbied for it, they cajoled and threatened, and they voted for it. What the HELL are you on about saying people shouldn’t blame them?

You can do whatever the f'k you want with them. They were just being Dems. They got elected. Who did not know they were going to write legislation that called everyone comrade?

What I did not know was that three Repub Senators, twice voted to give them their mandate. Don't you get that? Every single other elected Repub voted against this bill except those three. So while you jump ugly about Dems being Dems I'm outraged by the three Repubs who enabled them.

The rule of politics is you never bring a bill to the floor if you don't have the votes. These three made a Faustian bargain with the Dems and they still remain within the party. You can piss away your time jumping up and down in the playpen about who wrote the bill but I'll spend mine trying to get rid of the folks who have put the Repubs in the minority.

Just remember going forward as these trillions wipe out your children and grandchildren it was these three Repubs who made it happen. Had they voted as all Repubs had the bill would have failed and a new one would have had to be written with Repub participation.

Okay patrick. Democrats can be as corrupt and stupid as they want, but 100% of Republicans need to be pure and perfect.

The Dems wrote it, they lobbied for it, they cajoled and threatened, and they voted for it. What the HELL are you on about saying people shouldn't blame them?

The Democrats OWN this multi-trillion boondoggle, and your blame-shifting is just what democrats ALWAYS do, a double-standard.

I don't know what party you identify with, but I can't tell the difference between you and a far-left ideologue on this subject.

As far as The Three Stooges, I'd rather they be impeached. But their perfidy doesn't reflect on all Republicans - just like the Democrats perfidy doesn't reflect on the few in their own party who opposed them.

In the face of these numbers, you declare that the bill passed “because of three Republican Senators”. How very odd. Democrats are not relieved of responsibility for their votes merely because of partisanship. And these three are idiots, but we already knew that. I certainly don’t blame the GOP for that.

I am not blaming the GOP. I am blaming these three Senators. I am not blaming the Dems for being Dems.

I am blaming the Repub leadership for allowing these three Senators to remain in the party. Without their votes this bill would have failed along with Reid, Pelosi and Obama. Now it is too late. They voted for this bill twice. It was a premeditated murder of 49% of the American people by these three. If they are allowed to stay in the party after this crime the repubs deserve the fate that awaits them.

What I am also ranting against are the folks trying to blame the Dems for this. How naive. Everyone, including the Dems, knew this vote came down to Collins, Snowe and Specter. They betrayed us and prevented a better, less damaging bill to emerge.

Until Repubs come to terms with what these three did enjoy the wilderness.

It only passed because of three Repub Senators. Never, never forget that.

Yeah, Pat, I'm only a knight, but I'm with the Bishop on this one. Your statement is both statistically wrong and irrational.

The vote in the House reflected a solid liberal Democrat majority, voting almost unanimously in favor. The bill was weak enough that seven Democrats took a public stand against it, and against a popular new Democrat President and a particularly vindictive leftist Speaker. Not a single GOP Representative voted for this bill, which is astonishing.

The vote in the Senate was unanimous for the leftists, and nearly every GOP Senator rejected it. Three of 41 voted to support the bill, along with 56 Democrats and 2 Independents (Lieberman, a Democrat in fact, and Sanders, a Socialist).

Obama is in over his head. He has never had a difficult challenge in his life, and he now he has the one job in the world with the worst challenges. He didn’t have the clout to get Nancy to cut the ridiculous pork from the stimulus.

Just relying on advisors won’t necessarily help, as he has to choose the advisors. And so far, his picks have not gone well. He has found out the hard way not to trust the Congressional Dems, as they have their own agenda, and plan to be around after he’s gone.

Wethal on February 15, 2009 at 8:45 AM
Exactly. Obama is nothing but a front man. He was controlled by Dailey and company in Illinois and Axelrod totally ran the show when he campaigned. But the problem is even more serious than Obama being an empty suit. The people actually making the decisions are either totally incompetent when it comes to governing...Axelrod. Or they are completely off the scale as far as ideology...Pelosi.

Obama is a President in name only .

Now I read on Drudge that he is vacationing in Chi for three days. Some kind of image defining ploy or something? How to find time for the wife?(feminest and soccer mom vote) Promoting Valentines Day for the greeting card and florist vote?(LOL) I wish I could truly believe that this man does anything for genuine reasons, anything at all. Just can't. He lies and reneges on promises and scams his way along--and I'm just unable to find anything genuine about him or his two minions at all. I have developed this deep seated, unshakable mistrust of everything he does and says. Now I see him trying what I see as the 'sincerity' or quiet forebearance ploy. Like some poster on here said a while ago--worried that I'm taking politics way too seriously!

I shudder to think of how he will react in a true crisis.
anniekc on February 15, 2009 at 9:36 AM

It will paralyze him and he will find a way to blame a collection of Republicans, Rush, Hannity and anyone who has the temerity to question his actions.

When we get hit again here on our soil, and we will, I dread what Ogabe will do and what he will then justify as appropriate. What a perfect time to implement his "Internal Security Force", a national emergency.

Oh? Which member of the media is he romancing this weekend?

No need to romance the media. Every time he pauses they fall to their knees to service him. Just like three republican senators I can think of.

Amen.

But don't limit the response to the RNC to withholding finance. Barrage the RNC with the WORD.

The GOP has always had its platform. Just because the current membership ignores the platform does not deny the platform's existence. Back to basics. Fred Thompson's platform was the GOP Constitutional Platform. Conservatives recognize things for what they are. Personalities and transience aside, stick to the platform.

Nomen est omen. The name is the sign.
GOP: Faith, Hope and Charity
Faith in our Constitution.
Hope for our Children.
Charity, not Marx's opium for the masses!

Michael Steele may have the gumption to realize that the Republican Party is the immediate American political means to resist Soros' onslaught obliterating the existence of Constitutional life.

Every organization has a platform "mission statement". Keep it simple and put the contract into words on paper. RNC money must only support the party platform. Running as a "Republican" candidate on any party ticket must require unity to the party platform. Sign on. Or support your own independence. Follow the money.

If the GOP can not function, how can it lead America?

Get it together. Imperare sibi maximum imperium est. To rule yourself is the ultimate power.

WEll, as I see it, he's not enirely wrong about why this bill was so adamantly opposed. For myself, I do see it both ways he describes. Think the bill is badly written and do think his people took advantage of a bad situation to get their own way, but also like to see the GOP solidarity.O is probably not tuned into the the dissonance within the GOP during the campaign. This last is something that many think caused us to lose the election. Do not know what's ahead, but sooner or later this recession will ease. Just how damaged folks will be is anyone's guess. But...do think it's absolutely necessary that the GOP make utterly, totally, unequivocally clear that their objections to this bill are founded solely on the premises of big government and profligate spending. No matter what the outcome, these are principles we can always honestly defend. Don't permit O to paint it other wise, now or later.

Osama Obama had no “illusions” about his inability to be a uniter. He simply fails to comprehend anything beyond his pitifully narrow sphere of education and experience.

We are dealing with someone who has had it all his own way since babyhood, replete with people patting him on the head and telling him how superior he is. He has never had to work, never had to justify his actions or ideas.

The most tempermentally unfit leader ever. I shudder to think of how he will react in a true crisis.
