HHHHHmmmmmmm! Interesting thought occured. Isn’t it strange that the Obomba visited Chicago the same weekend Burris files an affadavit proclaiming his omission because the questioners changed the subject before he could blurt out the truth? Had to be face to face cause you can’t even trust a blackberry nowadays.

His new story, includes these salient details: As far back as June, at a fundraiser Burris attended for Blagojevich, Burris told two of the governor’s aides, Wyma and Scofield, that he was “interested” in the Senate job. He also talked to Blagojevich’s brother about the post, not once but three times in October and November, and Burris, as part of the same conversations, discussed raising money for Blagojevich with the brother. (Burris claims he declined, saying it would look bad.) In October he called Blagojevich’s chief of staff, John Harris, in an attempt to get his own nephew a state job, and then asked about the Senate appointment. He also called Ed Smith, a “friend and supporter” of Blagojevich’s, to ask if he had a chance of getting the Senate job. [...]

Still – I doubt Reid or Obama minded having a sewn up vote.

But, it will be interesting to witness Burris’ fate now that Arlen’s made him disposable.

Roland Burris should be officially recalled from office or forced to resign for committing perjury and Illinois’s new Governor Patrick Quinn should call for a special election to be held to fill the soon-to-be vacant Senate seat.

Kudos to the Chicago Sun Times for bringing this whole sordid mess into the light of day. This is further proof of the absolute corrupt nature of Rod Blagojevich, as well as the equally corrupt, if not opportunistic nature, of Roland Burris.

It certainly looks like we’re going to pick up that IL Senate seat in 2010. Y’all say Senator Mark Kirk with me now. :) (And yes I know he’s socially liberal, but he voted against the stimulus which makes him a whole lot better than the Maine sisters and Arlen Specter).

Durbin is a useful idiot for the Combine. He’s a company man who swallows his Kool Aid every morning. The person that you really want Blago to name is Mayor Daley, the king of the Combine. However, even that might be too far. More likely people like John DeLeo (D- How ya doin’) are going to be ratted out by Blago. The Messiah’s Transportation Secretary might go down as well because of his connection to Blago’s chief fundraiser, William Cellini.
