Emanuel did contact the governor’s office about the appointment, and left Blagojevich with the impression that he was pushing Valerie Jarrett, a close Obama friend, so he wouldn’t have to compete with her in the White House for Obama’s attention, said a person close to Blagojevich. The person requested anonymity because the person was not authorized to talk about the governor’s discussions regarding the vacancy.

The New York Times published a front-page story on John McCain accusing him of adultery based on a similarly flimsy anonymous rumor.

Are term limits something that could be federal legislation? Would it require a Constitutional Amendment?

Anyone know?

Needs a Constitutional Amendment. Back in the 1990s some states did legislate term limits, but the Supreme Court threw them out.

Term limits people. Term limits for all polititions.

Would each state need to legislate term limits? If so, it would never happen because those states that did would be weaker in the COngress.

Michelle Obama engaged David Axelrod as a consultant to help develop the program where they send people out of their ER and into clinics.
Michelle Obama hired Dr. Eric Whitaker, Barack’s BFF, to run this program.
Whitaker’s former job was the State Public Health Director, a job he got after Barack Obama recommended him to Blagojevich via Tony Rezko.

Now Dr. Whitaker has taken over the responsibilities of Michelle Obama’s former job, and Jarrett, Obama, and Axelrod are all in the White House.

And Patty Blagojevich is a problem?
