I remember liberals like Paglia. They were formidable political adversaries because of their principle and logic. Been gone quite a while, now.

I seriously doubt that any of current Liberal will be influenced by this. Instead, they’re more likely to chastise her; and then send out their brigade of snoops to uncover any/all dirt possible on Ms. Paglia… a la Joe the Plumber.

Strangely enough, Camille WOULD succeed as a Left-of-Center radio talk show host. She’s one of the few on the Left with solid integrity that conservatives would listen to.

The woman is a great intellect, and by all accounts a fascinating and decent person. It’s too bad most lefties are bottom-feeding scum like Steinem.

True, but she’s likely more powerful helping from the other side. Thanks, AP. It’s refreshing to hear an honest and intellectual liberal. Her analysis of Palin was beautiful, but her ripping on the Fairness Doctrine was sublime.

She’s earned a fan.

Gloria Steinem compared Sexual Personae to Mein Kampf, and likened Paglia to Adolf Hitler. In response, Paglia called Steinem “evil” and equated her with Joseph Stalin.

Paglia criticized leaders of the American feminist movement. Paglia claimed that they were ignorant of art, science and history, were hostile to men, and were harming young women by teaching them to see themselves as victims.

‘Faux’ news and talk radio spew lies and hatred and misinformation and cause lots of people to be misinformed and blindly led to believe in lies. What greater injustice could there be than to allow lies to flourish and people to live and think and act/vote according to these lies – it threatens the very core of democracy! We should entrust this issue to the bureaucrats who can regulate this and ensure everyone has access to the truth. How could anyone be against this?

This kind of thinking comes from the same minds that squawk when Gonzales fires attorneys for ‘political reasons’ yet they want the government to stifle free speech based on political ideologies. It’s curious that the modern liberal doesn’t want to apply the Fairness Doctrine to all forms of media – Why doesn’t Keith Olberman EVER give voice to a conservative viewpoint on his show? How often has he, the New York Times, CBS, NBC, ABC been wrong about political stories? How often are their news stories laced with the liberal perspective (e.g., find a mainstream news media story about the current economic crisis that highlights the influence the government had on creating it…)? If it was conservatives who were proposing the Fairness Doctrine be imposed on the mainstream media then the liberals might see the horror of it.

Very astute observation, and clearly demonstrates that the battle for the “fairness doctrine” is part of the liberal war on working class America.

I hope Ms. Paglia is happy she was so successful in moving her feminist movement forward. However, she should of thought to ask herself : Should I be careful what I ask for ?

ALL Democrats are fundamentally crazy! Anything they say that might make sense is like a stopped clock being right twice a day, or a blind hog digging up a truffle. Paglia’s positions are nothing more than aesthetic poses, and just as ephemeral. She has no commitment to liberty. Wake up and smell the coffee people! Paglia and her ilk are not allies in any way, shape, or form! She does what she does to confuse and undermine the true lovers of liberty! She is not in your camp!

Like myself she is homosexual, and will take on the radical gays, lesbians and feminists ……….. she is intellectually honest.

She has been independent for a long, long time. Like myself she is homosexual, and will take on the radical gays, lesbians and feminists ……….. she is intellectually honest.

The Democrat Party is no longer a party of liberals. Long gone are the days the Democrats would hail the philosophy of Adam Smith over John Maynard Keynes.

The Democrat Party is now an amalgam of socialists, fascists, and totalitarians who seek further government control at the expense of every liberty except abortion.
