The S-Chip bill that Obama signed into law the other day had eliminated the provision that recipients provide evidence of their U.S. citizenship. Apparently the Dims are determined that illegals keep getting all the U.S. taxpayer-funded goodies they can shovel out. As conditions in Mexico continue to deteriorate, this will guarantee that more and more illegals keep coming.

This is what happens when the Constitution is ignored and a SELF-DESCRIBED DUAL CITIZEN IS ILLEGALLY ALLOWED TO RUN FOR PRESIDENT. This country is no longer a Constitutional Republic. The Constitution is a meaningless document, the Supreme Court is a joke and we’re on our way to the United Socialist States of America. We’ve already got a state-run-media. The time to bitch was BEFORE THIS USURPER got elected. Now it’s just time to bend over and take one for the team. I’ll bet there’s nothing illegal about the White House taking over the Census. I’ll bet it’s perfectly legal to establish Congressional Representation for the District of Columbia. I’ll bet there’s a whole raft of perfectly legal (or, at least, NOT CONSTITUTIONALLY PROHIBITED) proposals that are going to come up that will seem odd, confusing (”what on earth is is the purpose of THIS new bill??”).

By the time all the strange little bits of legislation are seen in the aggregate, our USA will indeed have become the USSA and we’ll have nationalized industry, a managed economy, and a President-for-Life.

“K Street” is where Congressional Oligarchs go when they ‘retire’ (how can someone elected by the people of their District ‘retire’ from Congress?) or are un-seated during an election. One sincerely hopes the ranks of K Street prostitutes ex-Oligarchs swells in 2010 as critters from both political *spit* parties *spit* get thrown out of office.

Those who surround themselves with toadies and yes-men have to micromanage everything. Methinks this job might be a little much for the One.

The classy exit would have been to wait til tomorrow afternoon to quietly bow out. Basically Gregg decided not just to politely decline, but rather to blow shit up and burn the bridge behind him.

Classy? What would a Dem staffer know about class? Buttsniffers.

The classy thing would have been for Emanuel and Obama not to play politics with the stimulus and the census, and not to lie to Gregg and play him for a dupe.

Of course, when I voted, my vote went to Senator McCain. So, “buyer’s remorse” doesn’t apply to me. Nevertheless, when I read reports like this one from HotAir’s Ed Morrissey, I can only wonder. Elected representatives on Capitol Hill complain……

If the larger GOP strategy can be describe as putting all of their chips on “FAIL”, this has to be seen as a significant addition to that pile, no?

I don’t know that Gregg is that clever or vindictive, but we shall see who wins the pot in the long run, won’t we? It certainly doesn’t surprise me that a Hill Staffer thinks this is all a game of poker.

Interesting. Of course, I see no reason for the GOP to hold back. Better to go all in now to see what happens. They also might see the writing on the wall as regards the Dem/ACORN campaign ground game for 2010 and realize they need to go on offense now.
