I have to disagree. I love it when libs dribble like he does. Mind you, I would drive past him if I saw him standing outside his car looking hopelessly at his flat tire. Un-Christian? I think not. It may be part of a trap to take more of my earnings away.

If the roles were reversed and there was bill with tax and spending cuts, would conservatives want to add progressive priorities to bill in the spirit of bipartianship? I for one would not.

I have no problem with the Democrats lack of bipartianship. I just hope we can pay in back in spades. Instead funding Acorn, for example, lets cut those wasteful programs to nothing that feed their voting block.

Yes, BUT…this is the kind of thinking that led to Jack Abramoff, Trent Lott, and Ted Stevens, et al. The had watched democrats in congress make their friends rich with pork barrel spending and projects for so long that they decided the way to get payback was to do the same thing, only with more pork than even the democrats had dared to distribute.

It was exactly the wrong kind of revenge….and look where the GOP is because of it?

So yes, defund their buddies in ACORN. But do not look for your own corrupt crony group to support in their place…just don’t spend the damn money. sigh

The only way that the GOP will win in places such as New York and Maine is another 9/11. Even then, it has to be deep enough into Obama’s Administration so that it can’t be blamed on Bush. Yet even then, it will always be blamed on Bush–for countless reasons.

Frankly, if I’m OBL, I’d hit almost immediately. Obama will look bumbling in response, but he’ll have complete cover from the media as the media and the adminstration will mass-produce Bush pinatas, available for sale at amazon.com. Obama will sail through mid-terms and into a second term. And then that’s when OBL unloads. Years of weakness compounding themselves and a weak president locked in office for four years.

One target that OBL will never have is Obama. Obama is his golden goose.

Geez. Talk about a grudging compliment. Mort’s wife and Powell are heads of some foundation. Among other problems, Mort must be having dinner too often with Powell.

Obama went on national TV to demonize the GOP for balking at a bill in which they had no input, which avoided regular order in both chambers of Congress to limit amendments, and which eventually finished in a sleazy, closed-door, back-room meeting, literally.

Seriously, is Obama finished whining about this bill? Pass whatever the hell you want. With the Three Amigos, you can do whatever you want. Propose it. Pass it. Own it.

Stop running out from behind the skirts of Reid and Pelosi to try to hide behind the trousers of the GOP. It’s unpresidential.

I know conservatives think it is all about the money, but then again when it is something they care about they do not ask what it will cost. Whether it is the war on Terror or rounding up and deporting illegals, they never question the cost. They just assume that these are national security issues and thus the cost is immaterial. To a lot of people, domestic issues are just as important. So, Republicans need to work harder on the viable alternative angle. The Democrats just tend to run over them on issues like this.

That is an excellent idea! I think I am going to do exactly that, and anything left over from this oh-so-generous rebate is getting funneled to the Cuda’s PAC. I’ll make sure they know about THAT too.

As for these RINOs, I think we should just mark them in the “other” column and be done with it. They are as good as being Democrats AFAIC. The political tide is never going to shift in Maine anyway, so Collins and Snowe are a lost cause. PA is really the only place I think there’s a possibility. Pennsylvanians do tend to have more blue-collar traditional values. I think Specter COULD be unseated by the right candidate with enough money to back him/her.

It has to kill Mort Kondracke to admit this, so give him a round of applause for manning up on the (virtual) pages of Real Clear Politics.

Kondracke deserves nothing but contempt for being the turd that he is. One little, “I screwed up” doesn’t mean jack to me. Now, if he took himself off the air because he is too stupid to give any meaningful debate then I would applaud that. Kondracke hates conservatives with a vengeance and will stop at nothing to try and make our lives the same miserable hell that his is. He is an intellectual slug and a flat-out liar.
