I just put talked about this on the other post about the homeless lady. This is so funny to me. People are so in love with the President, and really how could you not be in love with him. President Obama is an amazing guy.

there is NOTHING that this man could do that would shake the faith of his rabid cultists…and thats what they are…this goes beyond politics…its very creepy, very scary…this cult of personality!

The left in this country needs to get it’s act together we can’t be complacent because our guy won. The left pushed FDR during the Depression and we’ve got to stop “adoring” and keep organizing. Gawd.

DeathToMediaHacks on February 10, 2009 at 7:23 PM

Did she feint? Remember the staged feinting?

The Obammunists had originally said there would be 2,000 tickets to the event. But early today they put out the word that only 150 would be allowed in. Tight screening. Tighter scripting.

tarpon on February 10, 2009 at 7:23 PM

If I were Obama I’d quit the whole president thing and just go cut an album or two. Mostly hip-hop with a few lovey ballads. He’d be a billionaire the next day AND not have to deal with Biden any more.

I couldn’t agree more Bardman. It’s disgusting. What’s so sad is that these same people are just as obsessive when it comes to their hatred for George W. Bush. I don’t see how any reasonable person can hate a president, especially George W. He seems like such a nice guy. It’s just mass ignorance, I guess. This stuff makes me think of about a month ago when the inaugration was in full swing. People acted like we were corronating (spelling?) a king. God, he’s just another president. I don’t care that he’s our first “black” president. That’s great, now move the herd of cattle on! :)

you may find this interesting…

This year, the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association will focus on the return of Jesus Christ and help prepare believers for life in the last days, according to a recent announcement.

“People ask me, ‘Do you really believe that Jesus Christ is going to come back to this earth again?’” writes the Rev. Billy Graham in one of the several resources that the ministry is providing on the End Times.
“Yes, I do,” he continues. “The Bible teaches that Jesus is coming again.
And I don’t see any other hope, because we’re heading toward a catastrophe in our world.”

as far as I am concerned there is Billy Graham, and then there is the rest of christianity…he’s in a league of his own…and like the old EF Hutton commercial…when Billy speaks…I listen…

DeathToMediaHacks on February 10, 2009 at 7:23 PM

This is what made your guy win. If it makes you feel any better, it’s what makes most of them win. Charisma as a vehicle to elicit someone’s self-interest.

Because that’s what fuels people – their own interest. Which is too bad for the left, because many of your policies only work when people are motivated by altruism – when they are truly good deep down. And they’re not. Never are, never have been, never will be. People are not inherently good. Attempting to govern like they are only leads to failure.

The best part is when Henrietta the Moocher begs Obama for a new car, kitchen and bathroom.

We don’t know what her circumstances are. Is she elderly, disabled, what? If she’s living in a car, I don’t blame her for wanting housing.

The thing is, she’s terribly misguided in thinking it’s the President’s job to take care of her personal needs. The appropriate thing to do would have been to privately steer her to public housing assistance.

Michelle says that an Obama supporter later gave her a house, at least the donor put her own money where her mouth is.

The adulation is scary.

This is how it ends, not with a bang, but with cries of adulation. Because the German people sought resolution many many decades ago…they got far far more then they believed possible, even as they lined the streets and threw flowers and wept tears of happiness…for The One.

And how we wept, when we remembered Zion.

The indoctrination is frighteningly similar. I think his “grand illusion of conquest” is the complete decimation of American life, calling upon the masses to rise up against those who feel are oppressing them. To destroy them, if not physically, then financially.

That part sounds familiar too.

I’ve never seen this before for a politician. I think we have come to another crossroads in society. This is the product of a media saturated society. The media (celebrity) has now saturated our government. The news media are supposed to be The Fourth Estate, part of the checks and balances. But now they treat politics like celebrities. Daily gossip. Who said what to whom? Who is popular? Who doesn’t get along whom in D.C.? Who is carrying a grudge?

I was waiting for the water-into-wine thangy or, given the times, the five-fish-and-two-loaves (depending on your Gospel of choice) dealy.

I said this elsewhere. Look at Henrietta’s end result: she got help from an individual American not the federal government. If Obama wants to drop a few billion setting up some kind of charity matchmaking Web site, maybe he could nationalize e-harmony or match.com. Anything to eliminate the federal government from incurring debt to pay for the boondoggles in his stimulus plan.

Henrietta’s problems and the problems of others in similar circumstances should be handled from within, then with family, then with extended family, then with friends, then with one’s church, then with local charities, then with local communities.

Maybe Obama should hold a Presidents’ Day telethon. The risk that he runs is that he may get overwhelmed with requests as Bruce did in Bruce Almighty.

Does anyone else like the e-harmony-type site idea or the telethon? I’d love to see the cheapskate liberals put their money where their charitable-mouths purport to be. Too busy supporting animal rights and avant-garde art, I suppose.

There was a time when I didn’t have a house. Then I finished school, got a job, saved my money, got married and then had a son. I don’t care if she is homeless. I will bet you a dollar to a donut if you could really get into her background you will find out she was an unwed mother, dropout who has always depended on the government for her living. I’m tired of the sob stories, and don’t even tell me she can’t get a job my 19 year old son just got a job ay UPS with no experience in the work force last week, and he still manages to go to college. Give me a break.

All of his town halls have been staged.

How many homeless people go to political rallies?

Let’s just hope that HE never sees a UFO flying next to a comet that is coming to pick us all up.

I say we flood the WH with requests for household items, autos, Rv’s, appliances, pay raises, promotions, stimulus cash advances, toasters, nose job, free health club memeberships…etc.
It can’t hurt…

Stories like this make me angry. People think it’s so great that someone solved one person’s problem but that doesn’t make the policies sound.

My parents have currently made room in their house for a family of 5 (soon to be 6). They can’t pay rent (if they could afford rent, they’d have a house). The husband helps out with repairs around the house and the wife often cooks dinner (though she’s usually busy with her kids).

Do President Obama and his friends want to provide these folks with a house? Dad’s a hard worker but construction is his field and those jobs are few and far between lately…

Perhaps the state rep has 2 spare homes lying around?

Heck….these guys aren’t even looking for a handout. If the state rep just has a steady construction job lying around, he’d be happy to be able to support his family on his own.

What’s that? It’s not on-camera so no one cares? Oh well. Better luck next time.

Feckin’ hell. No loaves and fishes? When do the lepers appear?

BO and his followers absolutely creep me out.

And when he’s out doing his messiah schtick, who’s taking care of business?
