Quotes of the day

“Last year, an anxious, depressed 17-year-old boy was admitted to the psychiatric unit at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne. He was refusing to drink water. Worried about drought related to climate change, the young man was convinced that if he drank, millions of people would die. The Australian doctors wrote the case up as the first known instance of ‘climate change delusion.’”

Sheesh – what a piker. Shigalov had a better suggestion: Eliminate 9/10 of the world’s population, and then make 9/10 of the surviving 10th into slaves of the last 100th.

Except Shigalov was just a character in a novel 150 years ago. Probably have to make those 9/10s into 99/100s in order to bring things up to date.

“out of oil and food and water….”

Out of food? Aren’t large Midwestern areas pushing for turning corn into ethanol to pour into gas tanks?

I think it’s a bad idea (less energy than gasoline, etc.) and it did incrementally raise the price, but we’re not going to run out of food even if ethanol production doubled.

Water? There are oceans full of the stuff. Desalinization will become more popular if we approach shortage. The earth also won’t “run out,” as it goes through biological systems etc. and returns to the environment. It gets polluted (and can often be cleaned), but it doesn’t vanish from the globe after use.

The Australian doctors wrote the case up as the first known instance of ‘climate change delusion.’

There have been stories about children having nightmares and anxiety problems over ‘global warming’ for years. Drudge had a link up some time ago about the seeming epidemic of such in Britain.

Of course, that was ‘global warming’ related. Since the name for liberal idiocy has been changed to ‘climate change’ I guess the anxiety caused by it is now something new, too.

Liberals are not only stupid, but they are vile, despicable people who are happy to scare the living sh!t out of children in order to get to their parents. Liberals are terrorists in every sense of the word. Their self-hate is well earned by their atrocious personalities.

Modern liberalism is fatal sickness that the West has. It will kill us, eventually, unless we are able to get these idiot leftists back in the sandbox where they belong. They are not adults and cannot be allowed to eat at the adult table, no matter how many temper tantrums they throw.

progressoverpeace on February 9, 2009 at 11:15 PM

One more reason Al Gore and his ilk should be in jail. They have directed much of this propaganda directly at children in order to sway their parents, that’s a Nazi tactic by the way, and now we have lots of kids belly churning that the world is going to end if they drink water or eat beef.

These SOB global warmers are a bunch of greedy, shameless criminals that should be arrested for this gargantuan fraud and the harm they are doing to kids.

Eschelon on February 9,

And what of Al Gore?? You could play back that tape of him screaming how “Bush played on our fears!”
Global warming,, the very end of our world,, what is a greater fear than that??
If Hitler could convince a nation that to secure their future, the extermination of an entire race of Jews was necessary. How much more could many throughout the world be seduced into thinking that another mass extermination is needed to save not just their very lives, but the planet itself?? Is any sacrifice too great to save the earth from destruction???

AUINSC on February 9, 2009 at 10:52 PM

Look over the descriptions of the following 2 houses and see if you can tell which belongs to “The one who calls himself an environmentalist.”

#1. A 20-room mansion(not including 8 bathrooms) heated by natural gas, add on a pool(and a pool house) and a separate guest house all heated by gas. In ONE MONTH ALONE this mansion consumes more energy than the average American household in an ENTIRE YEAR. The average bill for electricity and natural gas runs over $2,400.00
per month. In natural gas alone(which the last time we checked was a fossil fuel), this property consumes more than 20 times the national average for an American home. This house is not in a northern or Midwestern “snow belt,” either. It’s in the South.

#2. Designed by an architecture professor at a leading national university, this house incorporates every “green” feature current home construction can provide. The house contains only 4,000 square feet(4 bedrooms) and is nestled on an arid high prairie in the American southwest. A central closet in the house holds geothermal heat pumps drawing ground water through pipes sunk 300 feet into the
ground. The water (usually 67 degrees F.) heats the house in winter and cools it in summer. The system uses no fossil fuels such as oil or natural gas, and it consumes 25% of the electricity required for a conventional heating/cooling
system. Rainwater from the roof is collected and funneled into a 25,000 gallon underground cistern. Wastewater from showers, sinks and toilets goes into underground purifying tanks and then into the cistern. The collected after then
irrigates the land surrounding the house. Flowers and shrubs native to the area blend the property into the surrounding rural landscape.

HOUSE #1 (20 room energy guzzling mansion) is outside of Nashville, Tennessee. It is the abode of that renowned environmentalist-AL GORE!

HOUSE #2. (model eco-friendly house) is on a ranch near Crawford, Texas. Also known as “the Texas White House,” it is the private residence of the President of the United States, George W. Bush.

In case you don’t know what the environmental movement is about:

Christianity is our foe. If animal rights is to succeed, we must destroy the Judeo-Christian religious tradition.

Peter Singer, professor at Princeton
“The father of animal rights”
(favors killing babies up to 28 days old)

A total world population of 250-300 million people, a 95% decline from present levels, would be ideal.

Ted Turner – CNN

People are the cause of all the problems; we have too many of them; we need to get rid of some of them, and this [ban of DDT] is as good a way as any.

Charles Wurster
Environmental Defense Fund

In order to stabilize world population we must eliminate 350,000 people per day.

Jacques Cousteau, French oceanographer
Before the United Nations Development Fund for Women 1994, page 84-85

The environmental movement will not be satisfied to tax every cent away from you with the carbon tax scheme, after they have robbed you of your wealth, they also want you dead.

It’s like the beginnings of some horror sci fi movie. Only it’s real life.
I’ve said this before here,, when I was young,, people who said the world was coming to an end were made fun of. It was considered a big joke to see some guy walking down the street carrying a sign reading “The end is Near.”
Now,, those people are celebrated. they are in our Universities, schools and government. They write best selling books and get paid thousands to give speeches.
Growing up too, when you read history, you’d read about some civilization that seemed so advanced for their time in things like mathematics, construction, art,,, yet they would be convinced they needed to throw their virgin daughters into some volcano each year to have a good harvest. Environmentalism today is the modern equivalent of the old witch doctors. Different name, different titles, but the same spirit.

I wonder where the Nadya Suleman, the Octopulets Mom, fits in this world?

Criminal? Is she stealing the air I breath?

No, those babies will be helping to pay for my Social Security retirement.

Kini on February 10, 2009 at 1:37 AM

You’re assuming they will have jobs, and be productive members of society. Don’t count on it. According to reports, before giving birth to the newest 8, the octomom was receiving @ $500 a month in food stamps, and 3 of her first 6 kids were receiving “disability” checks. So not only will those kids probably not be supporting you, but your kids will be supporting them (and their kids, who will likely be third-generation welfare recipients).

Yeah, I know. Wards of the State to be sure.

But like Global Warming. I can dream. Can’t I?

Canned food does have a shelf life.

Liberals need to keep this stuff up! Loud and often! Possibly the American people will realize what they have done and will start electing some adults…with brains…to congress!

Why don’t this antihuman libs just off themselves, after all charity is supposed to begin at home.

eaglewingz08 on February 10, 2009 at 6:15 AM

I wonder how these people would have reacted to the Black Death. Now that was a disaster of biblical proportions.

Or even the Influenza Epidemic back in 1918. Let us imagine the hysteria that would come from a pandemic that effected a fifth of the world’s population.

No, these people are good at creating nightmare scenarios, not dealing with them. They love the drama.

AZ:

This is not China, we don’t tell people how many children they can and can not have. If I was going to be pissed at anyone in that case, it would be the medical professional who impregnated the woman.

Terrye on February 10, 2009 at 6:23 AM

I have speculated for sometime that one reason children have lost interest in playing outside is because of all this fear mongering. Nature/earth is often portrayed as sick, weak and dying. Who would want play in something so damaged. Just stay in where everything is safe.

Hey maybe I should write up proposal to study this and get some of this crazy stimulus cash.

Maybe a few but not most of them. I think his administrations support will not erode over stuff like this. The part we don’t get, the part that needs to smack us up-side our thick Conservative heads is that they don’t really care about that; A lot of them knew that Bush prosecuted the war exactly like they would have. They dissented because there had to be an angle of attack. This (the war) was the most emotion to a big block of their voters. Positions they took stumping had to be abandoned unless of course they really do mean to weaken us.

Watch Hollywood turn start talking tough about our enemies again. Watch the bastards who wouldn’t give us the time of day, now volunteer to do USO shows.

I simply pointed out the fact that the kids are already receiving welfare, and likely to continue doing so in the future. And yes, in this country one has the right to have as many children as one chooses. But as all rational people understand, rights come with corresponding responsibilities. This woman chose to have six children without a husband/father, and without the means to care for the children on her own. She then chose to add eight more babies to her already overburdened household. She is not entitled to immunity from criticism for her irresponsible choices simply because she had the “right” to bring those children into the world in the first place.

The Australian doctors wrote the case up as the first known instance of ‘climate change delusion.’”

Uh, I believe that the Goreacle is the first known sufferer of this malady.

Physics Geek on February 10, 2009 at 7:48 AM

Under The Messiah’s new plan that IS CURRENTLY porking it’s way thru our traitors in Congress, we will not have to worry about overpopulation in America. Our older citizens are going to systematicaly be denied care, even basic hip surgery. We are going to “ration” the great new health care system to the far left radical “young people” that first elected this POS PotUS… And yet, here we sit, ignorant to it all… Noone in the MSM, not even Rush or Hannity or Levin are talking enough about this “rationing” and it’s impact on older Americans. I wounder when we are going to wake up from our malayse and fight back before it’s too late. The “new” health care policy IS IN THE STIMULUS BILL NOW… We are NOT talking about far off things, it’s here!

Mark Garnett on February 10, 2009 at 7:50 AM

This is what happens when the libs won’t let you discipline your children. My parent would not have let me away with nonsense like this for one minute. The kid isn’t suffering from “Climate Change Delusion”, he just has lousy parents.

Tommy_G on February 10, 2009 at 7:52 AM

Apparently, the Australian doctors have never heard of some chap named……….

……….. Al Gore.

Seven Percent Solution on February 9, 2009 at 10:45 PM

Gore doesn’t exhibit any of the symptoms, though. He preaches to others while producing more carbon than an entire small town.
