First the boss, now the Hammer: How did the Snuggie insinuate itself so deeply into the consciousness of right-wing bloggers?
I get the analogy — it’s pointless, it’s unwieldy, it’s wildly overpriced — but I would have gone this route. Soak up trillions of dollars from future taxpayers in one swipe, then just wring it out over a big bowl of left-wing special interests. The one drawback to that metaphor: It would have deprived us of seeing MK model Snuggie couture. Click the image to watch.

Ummmm, it got in our consciousness because this is the coldest damned winter I can remember. Because we mostly know the global warming is a big shamwow evah.

The Snuggie looks like a Monk’s robe. In the commercials, it looks like family day at the monastary.
