Video: The reddest red-meat roundtable evah

posted at 7:05 pm on February 4, 2009 by Allahpundit

The boss, Glenn Beck, Star Parker, and a guy who used to lead the Club for Growth, egging each other on about how new entitlements lead inevitably to socialism? Good lord. Toss in a few exchanges about Palin and Darwinism and this would be the greatest Hot Air clip of all time.

I can only assume that, with Colmes gone, the Foxies have decided to abandon all pretense and dump the liberal panelists, too. Farewell, Bob Beckel, we hardly knew ye!

Are you just trying to be provocative?

Hannity always balances his “Great American Panel”
and Geraldo is still rolling along, isn’t he?

I hate I missed this live. But didn’t the federal government make all the banks take SOME money so it wouldn’t single out the good ones who don’t take the money vs. the bad ones who do take the money.

I’d recommend all executives go on strike in these companies. If I was making 10 mil/year and they cut me to 500,000/year to ‘fix’ the problem, I’d laugh and retire.

I could make 500,000/year on 5% returns of 10 mil. Why would I want the headache of being the whipping boy for the corrupt politicians?

“The reddest red-meat roundtable evah” Not even close. But it will happen when Michelle is back guest hosting on Fox. Hopefully soon.

It’s all about when the light switch actually goes on for the Obamautomatons..

It either goes on just before it’s too late or just after.

The light switch is going to go on. The sooner the better.

I saw part of this real time…when, in contrast to Maxine Waters ideas on running OIL, Star Parker speaks the truth about banks (kicking your children out of the house at 30 years old, LOL) I thought, can we please just have elect Star Parker to Congress and get started with some sanity?

Please?

Regarding the $500K CEO pay: Ha, ha. Jokes on you CEOs. Shouldn’t have gone begging for my money in the first place. Now that you have and you’re getting tea bagged after the fact? Too bad suckers.

Good for FOX . . . if you want wall to wall liberals go to CNN, MSNBC, NBC, ABC, CBS, PBS or read The Washington Post, the New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, The Boston Globe or a dozen other mainstream newspapers. FOX is certainly not depriving the world of liberal thought. Keep up the good work FOX.

Yes he did force them to take TARP:

The day after the news about a watershed change in American capitalism, the story behind the story of how Hank Paulson forced the nations top 9 banks to take capital is coming to light.

Weight of Glory on February 4, 2009 at 7:29 PM

Here’s what I’m afraid of: What happens to private (“no thanks” to TARP funds) banks when the government-run banks perform at progressively lower levels? Will the gov. banks continue to get taxpayer money to keep them propped up? Will the successful private banks be deemed too successful? What kinds of regulations will crop up to punish private banks for not being “part of the program” or in the interests of fairness?

Is there even a “Reardon Steel” in the banking industry to fight this?

This “socialism” theme is a load of Gullspit. Call what is going on what it is – COMMUNISM!

Through the control of the economy through various lies (depression-like conditions – global warming sky-is-falling), these Marxists are taking over. They are finishing the process Wilson/House/Rhodes started in the early 20th century, that FDR strengthened, LBJ cemented.

Liberty is dead.

Oh, I forgot..the next segment was with Frank Luntz.

He got short changed on time…but said people are very angry about lack of accountability of elite pols, business, etc. ets.

I hate to say that it would make me feel better if the plug would be pulled on C, BAC etc. The Obama/Left/Press moralizing is just too much to bear.

Somewhere I hope some R leader just stops the BS and says the truth…that our country has a lot of powerful people in government and business (ok, add the press) who have been trying to work a little above their competency level.

watson007 on February 4, 2009 at 7:26 PM

I wonder if you just wanted to post “tea bagged”?

I see rational though is dead in your head. Not all of the banks who received money were run poorly and some had no choice but to take the money. If there are some CEOs worth several million and now they are limited…what do you think they will do? As someone stated earlier they can retire.
They also could move to a different industry and leave their bank worse off and cost even more jobs.

I get the feeling that the watsons of the world would prefer to see everyone out of work because then he would be making or should i say not making the same amount of money.

The class warfare thing sure works with the gullible, lazy, and envious.

Michelles blog makes a good point that needs to be put out in the headlines ASAP.Quoting from Financial Week– “Congress will consider legislation to extend some of the curbs on executive pay that now apply only to those banks receiving federal assistance, House Financial Services Committee Chairman Barney Frank said.

“There’s deeply rooted anger on the part of the average American,” the Massachusetts Democrat said at a Washington news conference today.

He said the compensation restrictions would apply to all financial institutions and might be extended to include all U.S. companies.”

Obama Administration Scandals List
What a record in such a short period for Team Obama…the trolls are in such denial

Monday, January 5th, 2009

From- ConservativeAmerican.org

The Official list of Obama Administration Scandals

List is in chronological order. Most recent items at the end. List contains scandals, mistakes, mis-steps, gaffes, blunders, broken promises, goofs, policy errors, lies, etc. That’s too long of a name, so we call it the Scandals List. Okay?

1. Frank Marshall Davis Obama Scandal – As Andrew McCarthy noted at National Review Online, “The mainstream press steadfastly refuses to delve into Barack Obama’s radicalism, his Leftist revolutionary collaboration with self-identified communists [like] Frank Marshall Davis. Obama identifies Davis only as ‘Frank’ in his book. The Honolulu Advertiser reports: “I have a lot of expectations, a lot of hope, and I expect to see a lot of change,” said Beth Charlton [after the Obama inauguration] who is the daughter of Frank Marshall Davis, a black journalist and poet who was a friend of Obama’s maternal grandfather. “I feel truly proud to be an American,” said Charlton’s daughter, Rebecca, 19, a college student. “I never have before.” That sounds just like Michelle Obama’s comments in Milwaukee.
2. Obama Saul Alinsky Training Scandal – The American Thinker reports one of Obama’s early mentors in the “Alinsky” [socialist training] method was Mike Kruglik, who had this to say about Obama: “He was a natural, the undisputed master of agitation, who could engage a room full of recruiting targets in a rapid-fire Socratic dialogue, nudging them to admit that they were not living up to their own standards. As with the panhandler, he could be aggressive and confrontational. With probing, sometimes personal questions, he would pinpoint the source of pain in their lives, tearing down their egos just enough before dangling a carrot of hope that they could make things better.” The Thinker reported: “The agitator’s job, according to Alinsky, is first to bring folks to the “realization” that they are indeed miserable, that their misery is the fault of unresponsive governments or greedy corporations, then help them to bond together to demand what they deserve, and to make such an almighty stink that the dastardly governments and corporations will see imminent “self-interest” in granting whatever it is that will cause the harassment to cease.” Obama called this experience being a “Community Organizer!“
3. Jeremiah Wright Obama Scandal – Obama pledges never to disown his pastor despite Rev. Wright’s anti-American and racist rants available on YouTube. Wright asks God during a service to condemn America. Days after the news broke, Obama tosses Wright under the bus along with his white grandmother in a clumsily handled press conference on racial relations.
4. Father Michael Pfleger Obama Scandal – Another “man of God” that Obama calls a spiritual advisor, he spoke at Obama’s church mocking Hillary Clinton saying she expected to win only because she was white. Obama finally decides he should leave the Church.
5. Michelle Obama Pay Increase Scandal – Some wonder if Michelle Obama got a big promotion and huge pay increase only because her husband had just been elected a US Senator. The president of the University of Chicago Hospitals at the time promoted her to VP of “external affairs” and nearly tripled her salary to $316,962! He told the Chicago Tribune the promotion and pay raise had nothing to do with Barack Obama joining the Senate.
6. Tony Rezko Obama Scandal – Obama is able to buy a great house in a nice neighborhood at a great price with the help of the indicted political fundraiser Tony Rezko. Rezko buys the lot next door and then sells it to Obama for far less than it’s value. Obama admits not handling that one properly.
7. Obama Raila Odinga Scandal – Some sites claim then-US Senator Barack Obama campaigned for Kenyan Dictator Raila Odinga. They certainly appeared together:To be fair, Snopes says the two men are NOT cousins, Obama did NOT donate money to Odinga and Obama is NOT a muslim. Those rumors frequently get passed around the net related to his appearance with Odinga.
8. Bill Ayers Obama Scandal – Three times before the cock crows, Obama denies having a “relationship” with Bill Ayers. Obama started his political career in Ayers’ home. Obama served on a foundation’s education board with Bill Ayers. Bill Ayers is a home-grown terrorist and founder of the Weather Underground which bombed the pentagon and a judge’s home. His wife also used to work with Michelle Obama. However, Obama maintains Terrorist Ayers is “just a guy in my neighborhood.”
9. Emil Jones Obama Scandal – Jones has been called Obama’s political Godfather, the man who taught Obama all he knows. Jones “is known for steering state money to a few favored institutions, including some that employ his relatives. Several of his relatives have gotten state jobs, and his wife’s government salary jumped 60 percent after he became Senate president. He has played an important role in blocking ethics legislation in Illinois.” (Source AP)
10. Rashid Khalidi Obama Scandal – Another terrorist friend of Barack Obama. Khalidi was an advisor to the PLO. Obama had dinner with him, served on a board with him, and Khalidi held fundraisers for Obama. Jesse Jackson Sr. promised one audience that the Jewish influence on American foreign policy would soon come to an end with an Obama victory.
11. Obama Books Scandal – Obama wrote in his own book, “I chose my friends carefully. The more politically active black students. The foreign students. The Chicanos. The Marxist professors and the Structural Feminists.” Yeah, he chooses his friends carefully. See the first 10 scandals on our list.
12. Obama Official Seals Scandal – His Majesty, King Barack Obama not only created his own “official” seal for his candidacy so he could feed his ego and look more presidential, he also invented a fake “Office of the President Elect” and, of course, made an “official” seal for that nonsense too.
13. Obama Campaign Finance Scandal – While Hillary Clinton took most of the heat, Obama’s top fundraiser also sought money and support from disgraced political fundraiser Norman Hsu. MIke Allen at Politico reports, “Julianna Smoot, national finance director of Barack Obama’s presidential campaign, originally sought the support of Norman Hsu.” Hsu was a fugitive from the law and also ran a Ponzi scheme.
14. Obama Family Scandal #1 – Turns out Obama’s Aunt is here in the United States as an Illegal! Also, while preaching at his acceptance speech about looking out for your brother, Obama leaves his own half-brother to live in a hut in Africa. The “change we can believe in” apparently is in the family values category.
15. Obama Family Scandal #2 – Why won’t anyone in the mainstream media ask Mr. Obama about his birth certificate? Some people believe he was born in Kenya, not in the USA. That would, of course, make him inelegble to be President. There are many who also do not believe this story is true. Why can’t any of the hot shot reporters find out the truth once and for all?
16. Scandal: Obama Insults Nancy Reagan – Obama said “I didn’t want to get into a Nancy Reagan thing about doing any seances.” It was a reference to Nancy Reagan talking with Astrologers while she was living in the White House. Smooth.
17. Obama Lied, People Died – Smoking Scandal – Obama said that he had quit smoking when, in fact, he had not. Obama lied to the American people about an issue that takes thousands of lives each year. He promises not to smoke in the White House though.
18. Obama Appointment Scandal # 1 – Robert Gates – Obama gets in big trouble with Code Pink and MoveOn for keeping Bush defense secretary Robert Gates and more than 150 of the 250 political appointees at the Pentagon. Liberals mad at Obama suggest there might not be any change they can believe in.
19. Obama Appointment Scandal # 2 Bill Richardson – Gov. Bill Richardson removes himself from the running to be US Commerce Secretary, supposedly because of an on-going investigation into a possible “pay-for-play” deal in Richardson’s state. However, the Obama camp knew about that before it named him as its nominee to the post. So the real deal is?
20. Obama Appointment Scandal # 3 Susan Rice – Susan Rice, nominated for UN Ambassador, wants US troops to attack the Sudanese military, she wants US troops to join with UN forces on the ground in Darfur, and the US Air Force to enforce a no fly zone over Darfur. Rice is too immature and dangerous to be placed in such a position of authority by a man, Obama, who has demonstrated time and time again that he is a VERY poor judge of character. Rice is a far left blogger who calls conservatives “hacks” and says she “cussed and spat” when George W. Bush spoke of Iraq. She actually believes George Bush deliberately decided not to protect from terrorists, states which voted democrat! UPDATE: Rice was approved with support from wimpy republicans.
21. Obama Appointment Scandal # 4 Leon Panetta – Democrats like Diane Feinstein of California and Jay Rockefeller are ticked off that Obama not only picked Panetta to run the CIA, but didn’t ask them or even tell them before it all hit the media! Another headache for Obama as people on both sides of the aisle say Panetta is unqualified to run the CIA. Remember, Panetta was the key advisor when Clinton decided against taking Osama Bin Laden from the Sudanese who were ready to hand him over.
22. Obama Appointment Scandal # 5 Timothy Geithner (Tax Cheat #1) – Obama’s pick for Treasury Secretary (oops) “FORGOT” to pay taxes! Gosh, that’s an easy oversight, right? Could have happened to anyone? Hmmm. He failed to pay social security and medicaid taxes for years and didn’t notice that a housekeeper he employed on the side wasn’t here legally. He knew darn well he owed the taxes and chose not to pay them. More proof Obama is lousy at picking friends!
23. Obama Appointment Scandal # 6! Carol Socialist Browner – Obama Administration says being socialist is “Not a Problem.” OMG, you’re kidding right? Nope. Obama spokespal Nick Shapiro says the fact Obama’s pick for Climate Hoax Czar is a Socialist is simply, “not a problem.” That’s it. It certainly is a problem!! And a huge one at that! President Elect Barack Obama intends to lead this nation into Socialism. It worked so well for Europe that it’s “not a problem here.” Gag.
24. Obama Appointment Scandal # 7! Eric Let ‘em Go Holder – Obama picked Eric Holder for Attorney General. Holder was involved in the pardons of Marc Rich and 16 Puerto Rican terrorists. This is another lousy pick. Republicans with no guts did not even bother to oppose him. Plus, Obama gets praise and glory for appointing a minority (Holder is black) to the post, even though Bush got little credit for appointing minorities to cabinet positions.
25. Obama Senate Seat Scandal # 1 Blagojevich Sells Seat – Illinois Governor Rod Blagojeich, elected with help from US Senator Barack Obama who said Blago ran “a sound administration”, is arrested for trying to sell Obama’s vacant US Senate seat to the highest bidder. For weeks, Obama basically has no comment. Just before Christmas he announces his staff did nothing improper. Both Obama and Blago also have ties to Tony Rezko.
26. Obama Senate Seat Scandal # 2 Rahm-Rod-ing Valerie Jarrett – As scandal breaks about filling Obama’s vacant US Senate Seat, word leaks out that Obama point man Rahm Emanuel tried to shove Valerie Jarrett down Rod Blagojevich’s throat. With no promised reward for Blago, the Illinois Governor told the new Prez, “No deal!”
27. Obama Senate Seat Scandal # 3 Reid Reportedly Says No Blacks – The Chicago Tribune runs a story saying Harry Reid called Blago to tell him not to appoint three different men to the Obama senate seat, all of whom are black. Reid reportedly suggests two white people instead. UPDATE 1/6/9: Durbin and Reid refuse to seat Burris in senate, keeping it a whites only club. UPDATE 1/9/9: The Illinois Supreme Court pulled a King Herod and sent the whole Burris issue back to Pilate (the US Senate) today. They said no signature is needed by the Illinois secretary of state and the Burris appointment by Blago is valid. More trouble for Harry Reider & the Half Black Prince! UPDATE 1/12/9: At Obama’s command, Reid & Durbin cave, and allow Burris to be seated. UPDATE 1/15/9: Burris seated today.
28. Obama Breaks Promises Before Inauguration – On January 10th, Barack Obama told ABCDEmocrat News he won’t be able to carry out his campaign promises! You mean he lied?!! Now we have to listen to four years of “Obama Lied.” Great.
29. Obama Inauguration Scandal # 1 – The Barack Obama Coronation price-tag will be more than three times any other inauguration ever cost! UPDATE 1/19/2009: He’ll be spending $150-million! So big spending on the next CEO of our nation is okay, but other CEO’s have to skip the spa’s and the private plane rides? Blatant Hypocrisy.
30. Obama Inauguration Scandal # 2 – Obama picks a pastor who opposes gay marriage as a speaker at his inauguration, creating a commotion over what inclusiveness will mean for him. Obama chose Rick Warren, the evangelical pastor of the southern California megachurch Saddleback. Geoff Kors, executive director of Equality California (and a leader in the fight against Prop eight) said the choice was “appalling. If that’s Obama’s idea of a new day, we are in a lot of trouble.” Update: Warren actually said “Jesus” during the prayer!
31. Obama Inauguration Scandal # 3 – Obama picks a Muslim “scholar” to speak at his coronation prayer service January 21st who is the leader of a group that federal prosecutors say has ties to terrorists! Yet another instance of Obama befriending terrorist pals. She is Ingrid Mattson, president of the Islamic Society of North America. In July 2008, federal prosecutors in Dallas filed court documents linking her terror group, Hamas, which is hell-bent on the destruction of Israel.
32. Obama Broken Promise on Iraq War – January 21, 2009 -On his first full day in office, President Obama breaks a promise he made in July, 2008. Fox News reports that Obama said he would hold a full cabinet meeting his first day to set a new course to get out of Iraq. He did not hold the meeting and instaed plans to get troops out of Iraq “in good time” while adding to forces in Afghanistan.
33. Obama Executive Orders Scandal – January 22, 2009 – President Obama demonstrates he’s not ready for prime time as he signs executive orders in front of the press, but has to ask his attorney what they actually say! How can you, in good faith as President of the United States, sign an executive order when you don’t know what it says!! Greg Craig had to help the President. Remember when they said Bush was too dumb to be president and Dick Cheney was actually doing the work? Maybe President Obama is too dumb and Greg Craig is actually doing the work!
34. Obama Ethics Scandal # 1 William Lynn – January 22, 2009 – A US Senate committee puts the nomination of William Lynn to be deputy defense secretary on hold. It seems he breaks the brand new Obama Administration Rules just set up the day before! Obama promised no former lobbyists would serve in his administration. That would rule Lynn out. Obama’s press team says rules are made to be broken. UPDATE: Obama administration says it’s in “the public interest” to grant Lynn a waiver!!! So all the other lobbyists hired in the past were hired against “the public interest???”
35. Obama Ethics Scandal # 2 William Corr – Again, President Obama breaks his brand new no lobbyist rules! Twice in one week! This time it is with the naming of lobbyist William Corr to be Deputy Secretary of Health and Human Services. So much for “higher standards” for Team Obama.
36. NEW! Obama Ethics Scandal # 3 Mark Patterson – And Again, President B-Rock breaks his own no lobbyist rule. No big deal, rules schmules after all. This time it is with yet another waiver and the appointment of yet another lobbyist. Goldman Sachs Lobbyist Mark Patterson is named to be number two under Tim the Tax Cheat Geithner at the US Treasury. Obama again demonstrates what a lousy judge of character he is in picking a tax cheat and a lobbyist with conflicts of interest to head the treasury.
37. NEW! Obama Tax Cheat Scandal # 2 Tom Daschle – There certainly is a theme to this list: Barack Obama does a lousy job of picking friends. AP reports former US Senator Tom Daschle, picked by Obama to lead health reform, “recently filed amended tax returns to report $128,203 in back taxes and $11,964 in interest.” Hey, it was okay for Geithner, so it’s okay for Daschle. Chicago-Style Democrat Senator Dick Durbin says Daschle “lost an election ending his public career…he went out in the private sector, and now he’s found himself having made a mistake and admitted to it. He took the steps necessary to start paying the taxes, make sure they’re paid. Now, that’s the right thing to do.” I doubt Durbin would say that about a republican! It’s all part of the vast left wing culture of corruption! UPDATE 2/3/9: “President Obama admitted he made a “mistake” in his handling of Tom Daschle’s Cabinet nomination, telling FOX News on Tuesday that he takes full responsibility for a process that ended in Daschle withdrawing his name amid tax problems.” – Says Fox News.
38. Obama Family Scandal #3 – George Obama, the President’s half-brother who lives in a shack and earns $1 a day in Kenya, was arrested for having marijuana on January 30th, 2009. This is the man Obama has done nothing to help even though he preaches (like during his acceptance speech) about caring for your brother. Interesting how the press can say this is Obama’s “HALF” brother, but they can’t say Obama is “HALF” black.
39. NEW! Obama Tax Cheat Scandal # 3 Nancy Killefer – This has become ridiculous. The USA has elected an unqualified man with incredibly poor judgment as our President. You’d think after the first two tax-cheats he wanted to hire caused so much trouble, he might learn his lesson. Nope. Fox News reports “the administration had refused to answer how its choice [Nancy Killefer] to make government workers more efficient and more responsive had bungled her household payroll taxes.” She took herself out of the running for Obama’s newly created “Chief Performance Officer” position. She failed for 18-months to pay employment taxes on household help.

Take a look at this!

In a nut shell for those with little time for dramatic link bait – The state of Arizona is telling the Federal Government to go f**k themselves…here’s a sample:

Whereas, the scope of power defined by the Tenth Amendment means that the federal government was created by the states specifically to be an agent of the states; and

Whereas, today, in 2009, the states are demonstrably treated as agents of the federal government; and

Whereas, many federal laws are directly in violation of the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States;

I think there is a famous Lenin quote about communism being the goal of socialism.

Pianobuff on February 4, 2009 at 7:32 PM

It is unfortunate that our country is no longer educated on just what communism is. Since the capitalization of China the word has become a PC victim. The media hardly ever uses the word, especially in connection to China.

But make no mistake: Communism is what’s at play here. Some will say that communism is not the same as Marxism, but it is. It is about forced sharing and control, “we are one” BS.

Used to be Kruchev’s famous speech of conquering America from within was posted everywhere, from courthouses to the DMV. The man was right, but the process started long ago, long before him.

klickink.wordpress.com on February 4, 2009 at 7:44 PM

LOL at that Maxine Waters clip. I had forgotten about that.
It should be played a couple of times a week.

carbon_footprint on February 4, 2009 at 7:45 PM

canditaylor68 …. Actually, Obama hinted that also at the end of this remarks today.

The “smoothness” of Obama is this. First, start with

This is America. We don’t disparage wealth. We don’t begrudge anybody for achieving success. And we certainly believe that success should be rewarded

Second, the business about the banks

Third, His true intent:

And finally, these guidelines we’re putting in place are only the beginning of a long-term effort. We’re going to examine the ways in which the means and manner of executive compensation have contributed to a reckless culture and a quarter-by-quarter mentality that in turn helped to wrought havoc in our financial system. We’re going to be taking a look at broader reforms so that executives are compensated for sound risk management, and rewarded for growth measured over years, not just days or weeks.

Watch every word this guy says…his moderation is step 1.

r keller on February 4, 2009 at 7:48 PM

You know, the more I watch Glenn Beck the more I find myself interested in what he has to say.

Dreadnought223 on February 4, 2009 at 7:44 PM

I personally don’t like his program, but the past couple months he has gotten “religion” – that is, what Liberty and the founding of America was all about.

But more than “voices” are needed. We need men and women of action. Ones that are willing to put everything on the line, their wealth, their time. People must be motivated physically, not just emotionally. A movement must be organized, actions defined.

Othewise…

There is a deep-seated anger on the part of the average American. Our great leaders just don’t get what the anger is about. Or don’t care.

genso on February 4, 2009 at 7:43 PM

They don’t have to. They’re in total control. They control the news. They control the elections.

And now they control the money.

We’re toast. No one is going to do anything. Few idiots might go zonkers, but will be easily suppressed. Amercia has been pussified through PC and feelings and blah blah blah!

Get used to it.

Liberty is dead.

The problem here in Cali-fornia is this idiot governor is waiting for a bailout to balance an out-of-control budget and the Dems here could care less about state sovereignty.

Rovin on February 4, 2009 at 7:55 PM

New Hampshire just isn’t that into the Federal Govenment.

Here are the top six things that will make them go it alone…

I. Establishing martial law or a state of emergency within one of the States comprising the United States of America without the consent of the legislature of that State.

II. Requiring involuntary servitude, or governmental service other than a draft during a declared war, or pursuant to, or as an alternative to, incarceration after due process of law.

III. Requiring involuntary servitude or governmental service of persons under the age of 18 other than pursuant to, or as an alternative to, incarceration after due process of law.

IV. Surrendering any power delegated or not delegated to any corporation or foreign government.

V. Any act regarding religion; further limitations on freedom of political speech; or further limitations on freedom of the press.

VI. Further infringements on the right to keep and bear arms including prohibitions of type or quantity of arms or ammunition;

Looks like there are a few clear thinking Americans left.

Beck’s show is great! Michelle seems to love being on his show. It unleashes her spirit, I think. Glad he had David Horowitz on tonight, too. His story is one that really needs to get out to the public.

I’ve been a Glenn Beck fan for several years now. The first time I heard him make the vacuum sound that is Britney Spears brain I was really hooked. He just says it like it is and he is funny.

Michelle is awesome. The best thing I think I have ever seen on television was an episode of the O’Reilly Factor that she was guest hosting. Malik Shabazz (?) was a guest and either called her a whore or for O’Reilly or implied it. Michelle asks him something like, “Are you calling me a whore, Mr. Shabazz….The only whore on this screen is you, Mr. Shabazz!” O.M.G! My husband and I were howling. Did anyone see that? Is there a recording of it? I’m going to have to check youtube.

I like hand carrying my records with me if I ever need to see a doctor. Rights to privacy issues and inability to secure computerized online medical records is the trade off for free universal health care? Who is to say that employers, insurance companies, credit companies, hell, even family/child services wont use this information against us? The idea of computerized online medical records should be shot down. We cant even use mobile data devices on military computers because of security breaches- why would we entrust our government to keep our most private information safe?

Glenn Beck is fantastic. He speaks for those with common sense and he does so with great humor.

Remember back in high school, where there was always at least one not-so-attractive girl who’d dress suggestively to get the guys to look at her? Or the guy who cussed every other sentence thinking it was cool?

Some folks have such a poor self image that they need to do or say outrageous things to get people to notice them. When they grow up, some of them post on blogs.

Three contractors are bidding to fix a broken fence at the White House. One is from Chicago, another is from Tennessee, and the third is from Minnesota.

All three go with a White House official to examine the fence. The Minnesota contractor takes out a tape measure and does some measuring, then works some figures with a pencil. “Well,” he says, “I figure the job will run about $900: $400 for materials, $400 for my crew and $100 profit for me.”

The Tennessee contractor also does some measuring and figuring, then says, “I can do this job for $700: $300 for materials, $300 for my crew and $100 profit for me.”

The Chicago contractor doesn’t measure or figure, but leans over to the White House official and whispers, “$2,700.”

The official, incredulous, says, “You didn’t even measure like the other guys! How did you come up with such a high figure?”

The Chicago contractor whispers back, “$1000 for me, $1000 for you, and we hire the guy from Tennessee to fix the fence.”

“Done!” replies the government official.

And that, my friends, is how the new stimulus plan will work.

As I said somewhere else earlier:

………..some of you have no doubt heard that Barney Fwank, Pelosi, and Geithner are already about taking it a step further and regulating ALL salaries in the country.

(Directive 10-289 for you folks that like Ayn Rand.)

It just dawned on me: If they can cap salaries….. they can also cap dividends.

Man, I’m glad I got completely out of the market already.

And while I really don’t have a problem with capping the salaries and dividends of the companies that take taxpayer bailout money………. now that ‘the camel has stuck its nose under the tent’ even if they eventually pay back their bailout money, the government is never going to release them from their bondage.

DJIA 4500: here we come, if more people start getting this idea. DJIA 500: if they do it to the businesses across the board, not just the bailout takers.

Michelle, I didn’t copy you on that Camel-nose-tent thing. GMTA.
