Buyer’s remorse is going to be strong at some point. At least I hope that’s the case and not just optimism on my part that people will really wake up.

But a plan that Obama backs and endorses is still popular because people trust him and because they don’t think he endorses the House “porkulus.”

But he does. Didn’t Obama have a sort of champagne shindig after the bill passed the House?

What people want is what Obama proposed a big tax break for middle/working class Americans. I’ve seen zero evidence in any polls that people want supply side economics, if they did they wouldn’t have voted Obama.

Of course they don’t want “supply side” economics. A big chunk of Obama’s addled constituency believe in “trickle down”, though: the government takes from earners and then it is somehow supposed to “trickle down” to the peasants.

I have challenged you in a couple of other related threads on this. Your reply would be appreciated. And on the philosophical side, I would be curious to see why you prefer tyranny over liberty.

We have allowed the liberals and their minions in the MSM to write the narrative on this for at least the last 30 years, and any evidence to be had that cutting taxes actually boosts overall tax revenues is completely lost on American voters, probably because the media can’t be bothered to report it. Reagan cut taxes and tax receipts went up. Bush 43 cut taxes and tax receipts went up. Forget calling it economics: The American people need to be schooled in simple common sense. If you want to create jobs, then you have to make doing so as attractive and profitable as possible to the people in a position to do the hiring. That means relieving the tax and regulation burdens heaped upon corporations and small business owners. Someone needs to make people understand that the kind of class warfare that the Democrats like to incite benefits no one but them. “Hating the rich” is counterproductive when they’re the ones cutting your payroll check every two weeks.
