Wish the GO-bama-P would stop legislating based on what they "think" the "majority" of Americana want (read: skewed polling) and start governing based on what true conservatives want. I mean, jeez, you would think these namby-pamby girly men would have learned their lesson by now. Start governing toward 2012 already and stop worrying about Obambi. He's doing enough all by himself to lower his numbers.

Stop crying, you crybabies! You were elected into office to represent your constituents, not to fawn all over The One. You were elected to oppose him and his policies if they are bad - and so far, his have all been bad. It's what you were elected for. Sheesh.

This love-fest is disgusting.

Crying out for real leadership from the GOP and only hearing my own words echo back at me. Most of them are cowering in a corner of their plush offices, soiling themselves at the thought of having to make any decision that might offend the MSM. Hope they are wearing their odor-control Depends.

Don't forget the first Bush's ratings were so high in 91 that many top Dems didn't bother trying to win the primary since they figured he was unbeatable.

If they tie their fate to Obama, they may sink like a rock.

Here are some other numbers from Rasmussen:

Following the unanimous Republican opposition to the economic stimulus bill proposed by and House Democrats, the GOP has narrowed the gap this week on the Generic Congressional Ballot.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone surveys found that the Democrats’ lead is down to four percentage points--42% of voters said they would vote for their district’s Democratic candidate while 38% said they would choose the Republican (see crosstabs).

A week ago, the Democrats enjoyed a seven-point lead.

The Dem support stayed the same, while the R support went up.

The interesting part is in the numbers of those Indies:

Voters not affiliated with either party favor the GOP by a 36% to 26% margin, while 28% are not sure.
appalled

In fact it seems to me that I remember a lot of people saying House Republicans would not have the guts to go up against Pelosi on the stimulus, but they did just that.

I don't think they are afraid of Obama, I think they are afraid of the recession and what it might due to their chances of reelection.

I don't know about this. I can remember when Republicans went after Clinton oblivious to his approval ratings. I can remember when Democrats were willing to go after Bush when his approval ratings were higher than Obama's are now.

So I don't buy this stuff about Republicans being scared of Obama's numbers.

I posted this on another thread today....look at Rasmussen's approval index. On 1/20 it was +29. Today it is +15. And it has been steadily dropping since that glorious day.

If after 2 weeks the GOP is ready to cave because Obama is at 60% approval - which is basically where every president has been after 2 weeks - then I'm throwing my hands up in the air and saying fuck it. It's over.

This is not the time for the Republicans to stick their fingers in the air and check the wind. It's fucking TIME for them to call a halt to the Democratic destruction of this country! That bill is bull shit! Unless it can be fixed, they should ALL vote it down. Let the Dems defend it 2 years from now when things are worse and we're facing a 20% inflation rate.

Don't tell me, Republican Senators are scared of the dark and the boogyman too!

This is just plain ridiculous. We're two weeks into The Obambi's administration and already they are scared. What are they going to be by 2010, Democrats?

I thought the Republicans didn’t govern by Poll Numbers so what difference does Obama’s Poll numbers make?

Dr Evil on February 3, 2009 at 4:06 PM

As has been repeatedly pointed out... the Republicans lost. Whether Republicans govern by polls or not is completely irrelevant to how Democrats govern.

The list of sickening GOP buttfuc**rs who voted to confirm Holder (unethical, unqualified scumbag) is enough to give me an aneurysm.

There is obviously no GOP left in that fuc*ing Senate.

As many said above, they ought to be concerned about their constituency and what is best for the country.

Here are some numbers to tell you R Senator about:

Poll: Americans Oppose Obama's First Two Executive Orders

Fifty-eight percent of Americans said they disagreed with the president's decision to give overseas funding to family planning organizations that provide abortions, according to the survey taken between Friday and Sunday. Thirty-five percent supported it...

The poll also found that more Americans -- 50 percent to 44 percent --oppose the president's decision to close the Guantanamo Bay prison for terror suspects within in a year.

Obama's executive orders are especially unpopular among Republicans. Only eight percent said they approve the president's decision to fund overseas abortions, while 11 percent said they agree with his order to shut down Guantanamo.

Try not to laugh as you tell them about this:

Seventy-six percent also said the agreed with Obama's decision to tighten ethics rules for administration officials.

These RINOS should be worried about their own polling numbers with conservatives and republicans.

Obama’s cult of personality is fading off as is his approval ratings.

Why should the RINOs be worried. South Carolina, allegedly a conservative state, just re-elected a top five RINO last November. Graham, who dons the knee pads regularly, must be terrified of Obama and will do anything as long as it gets him on TV. Until conservatives/Republicans stop electing the likes of him, it's us who should be worried.
