Video: Hillary thanks Bill for a lifetime of, ahem, “all kinds of experiences”

From yesterday’s State Department swearing-in, at which our genius VP joked about not botching the oath and then promptly botched it.
Lest you think she didn’t mean this exactly the way it sounds, watch how quick she is to laugh at her own joke. I wuv her. Exit question: Why’s his face two shades redder than everyone else’s? (Even before she goofs on him, I mean.)

I honestly think he’s still pissed at Biden and Obama.
amerpundit on February 3, 2009 at 4:09 PM
Grateful for? She’s grateful he played hide the cigar with an intern?

That was funny! I really like her.

When you public speak, you often start a sentence that you just have no real way to get out of gracefully…she did a pretty awesome job, experience I wish Obama had…but I would rather not have seen either there.
However, I have a feeling she may have been there no matter who had won.

Exit answer: Whiskey face.
IrishEi on February 3, 2009 at 4:12 PM
she’d have nothing without him
jp on February 3, 2009 at 4:13 PM
Since we have a permanent political class, with hereditary positions, I suggest we go whole hog and start using titles again. Hillary could easily be a Duchess. I think that makes her daughter, Lady Chelsea. Biden could be a Baron. Barney Frank is Oscar Wilde.
JiangxiDad on February 3, 2009 at 4:13 PM
It got her a NY Senate seat. And that’s a bleepin’ valuable thing. Or am I mixing up my Democrat scandals? It’s getting kind of hard to tell them apart.
rbj on February 3, 2009 at 4:13 PM
To a certain extent, I respect her for making that “joke.” It’s far more honest than pretending that her marriage has been perfect. It’s also far more honest than your typical Obama appointee has been.
While Bill Clinton has always been “ruddy” I’m guessing that yesterday’s event was killing him. He had to be there but he wasn’t the center of attention. He’s not even been asked to be part of the failed Obama administration in any capacity. Egotists like Bill Clinton don’t do well when they aren’t coddled and with an even more arrogant egotist in the White House, Bill Clinton is essentially Mr. Hillary Clinton and he doesn’t like it.

How scary is it that when I listen to Hillary and imagine what could have been?

Seems to me she started down this road erroneously and couldn’t backtrack without the inevitable result. I would think it will be a long four years for Bill. He might be the one who torpedos the ONE, so he doesn’t have to spend eight years at this.
Christian Conservative on February 3, 2009 at 4:16 PM
Biden is going to become a permanent resident of that “undisclosed location.” What a joke that the man has become. Exit Question: Can we look forward to four years of Biden’s an idiot jokes or will the MSM cover up for the guy because it would embarrass the judgement of the filthy bastard in the Oval Office?

Any woman, feminists in particular, who had an ounce of principles would have dumped that womanizing adulterer 25 years ago.
Not Hill, she yucks it up. Hey here’s an idea. Invite Monica over for dinner and all three of you can just laugh, and laugh, and laugh, about those Oval Office blowjobs.
Phony, leftover hippies, who once ran our country. Gawd.

Hillary Clinton: Funnier than Jon Stewart.
terryannonline on February 3, 2009 at 4:17 PM
Interesting scenario. I also think it is entirely probable since being so close to power and not part of it has got to be humbling for a man who has no humility.
highhopes on February 3, 2009 at 4:18 PM
You think Bill “turned” her gay?
marklmail on February 3, 2009 at 4:21 PM
Did she say “extraordinary bitch-ness”? I would believe that.

I heard it live yesterday, and thought she was very funny. It was pretty clear she didn’t intend to get into that verbal situation. It just got away from her. It was genuine, so I laughed. The comment about her mother was funny too, even though scripted.

Bill and Hill pull an Anjolie/BillyBob on the way to the acceptance speech?
canditaylor68 on February 3, 2009 at 4:27 PM
Are we related?
IrishEi on February 3, 2009 at 4:28 PM
She’s got to still be wondering why on earth Obama would chose Biden over her.
MarkTheGreat on February 3, 2009 at 4:29 PM
Let’s don’t insult Oscar Wilde because he shares a sexual orientation with Barney Frank. That’s no better than saying all black people look alike.
thuja on February 3, 2009 at 4:30 PM
Laughed my ass of when I heard this yesterday. We’re going to be mining comedy gold from Biden on a regular basis.
BadgerHawk on February 3, 2009 at 4:31 PM
It’s funny, but not the kind of thing that exudes dignity or says this is an administration that has, dare I say it, gravitas!
She was getting sworn in as Secretary of State and these aren’t exactly easy times. I think I’d want to come across as Margaret Thatcher II, and not the Comedy Hour.
INC on February 3, 2009 at 4:42 PM
Let’s not forget she’s another miserable crook who belongs in prison after the Rose Law Firm nonsense… but yeah, that was pretty funny. Near-total amnesia about years of legal work, coupled with a self-deprecating sense of humor… I like that in a Secretary of State.
Doctor Zero on February 3, 2009 at 4:43 PM
Dude – once ran? They are running it again – at least, Shillary is leading our foreign policy.
Now that’s scary…

“Lifetime of experiences”? Well, I suppose having a lamp thrown at you is pretty memorable.

I don’t think she meant for it to come out the way it did. Nice recovery on her part.

Oh I would think a zinger of that magnitude is pretty mild in comparision to what’s usually needed to keep Slick Willy in line.

Amazing… Joe Biden can even out-annoy Hillary while she is giving a speech…
phreshone on February 3, 2009 at 5:44 PM
Cause he’s wasted, silly. Dude would have to be to listen to more than a minute of that woman speak. Dare I say about freakin’ anything.
Imagine being a foreign nation, particularly an ally, whose been dealing with the cordial, charming, and not-far-from-brilliant Condi… going to this.

i cant help but think
a. Helping dispose of bodies in carpters in the park
b. airplanes all crashing with friends aboard
c. sex scandles all being hidden
d. trooper gate scandels being hidden
e. travel gate geing hidden
f. lying under oath and how to get away with it.

Only reason she still has him. To quote an old Dennis Miller line, “You’d have to have a slurpee machine and box of slim jims at the foot of the bed to find a marriage of more convenience”.

Maybe with that Democrat Mayor in Portland – Sam Adams.

Bill Clinton suffers from rosacea.
misslizzi on February 3, 2009 at 6:30 PM
I have rosacea as well. It is terribly exacerbated by alcohol. Just sayin’.
Glynn on February 3, 2009 at 6:46 PM
Hillary was telegraphing a message to Ahmadinejad. Look what I do to the Former President of the U.S.A. imagine what I would do to you! In Fact he doesn’t have to imagine. Hillary was sworn in, it won’t be long now before the Clintons go rogue:) Who wants to rule the world…I’m Evil I know something about World Domination.

I would so buy a tell-all book by her.
Typhonsentra on February 3, 2009 at 7:38 PM
You speak truth.
Dubn8tr on February 3, 2009 at 7:50 PM
I suffered from rosacea for years as well. Just like Bill Clinton. It’s not only exacerbated by alcohol, but any number of different foods, hot liquids, hot showers, stressful situations, etc…
In men, like Clinton, it tends to look a lot worse under these conditions and with age can make the nose appear “bulbous”. The red cheeks and nose make them look like hard drinkers, i.e. W.C . Fields (who may have been, but was also rumored to have rosacea)
Just a little FYI, thanks!
P.S. After a 5 month dose of Accutane, I have not had a single breakout of rosacea in years.
serpentineshel on February 3, 2009 at 8:04 PM
Oh hellz yeah! You know how close she came to the White House as the chief executive of the United States? She owed it all to Bill, baby! Cigar and all!
gryphon202 on February 3, 2009 at 8:32 PM
Not meaning to go too far off topic, but thanks to all above for the link and info about rosacea. I was truly mis-and un-informed. I learn a lot from my internet addiction.
