Just a little reminder of what law enforcement is like in Peelousy's San Francisco (you couldn't make this stuff up, no one would believe you):

Takuan Seiyo has posted the latest installment of “From Meccania to Atlantis” at the Brussels Journal. Below are some excerpts:

San Francisco’s actual Chief of Police now is an affirmative-action diminutive Chinese-American female from the accounting department who is the laughingstock of the police force. The rate of unresolved murder cases in San Francisco is so high that the city has tried, unsuccessfully, to solicit help by offering $100,000 rewards to people who would come forward with information.

At a loss, the city’s leaders elected what else, but a transgender person, Theresa Sparks, as President of the San Francisco Police Commission. Mr./Ms. Sparks’ qualifications for the job consist in his/her managing a vibrator company which was recently running a special under the slogan, “August is Anal Sex Month; 15% off select Anal Toys.”

To bolster this crack team with some serious dose of law-enforcing testosterone, San Francisco got itself a female District Attorney who bestows additional glory on the city by being half Tamil-Indian and half-black. Kamala Davis Harris refuses to seek the death penalty for murder, which is the law of the land, plea-bargains murder cases, and fails to prosecute criminals arrested with firearms. San Francisco police officers take a dim view of this, what with their own being murdered by criminals that the District Attorney has failed to prosecute. But the need to keep their jobs muzzles their mouths.
- - - - - - - - -

Of late, Ms. Davis Harris has made the news due to her office’s failure to prosecute Edwin Ramos, a vicious Mara Salvatrucha gangbanger and illegal Honduran alien, who had been arrested on illegal gun possession charges, and then released instead of being at the least deported. One month later Mr. Ramos would be arrested for the murder of Tony Bologna, 48, and his sons, Michael, 20, and Matthew, 16. The murder weapon has since been linked to two other murders.

San Francisco’s metrosexual mayor is given to utterances like, “You know we’re the only city — I think we’re the only big city in America… there may be an exception or two…. that women are running the Police Department, Fire Department and our emergency services. That’s why I feel so safe.”

The Mayor's feeling of safety is solely the function of his 24/7 police and security details. Ask the common folk how safe they feel with this nutcracker suite at the head of their vital services. It is typical libspeak, they are safe because of the hard work and dedication of true patriots willing to put their lives at risk to protect this country, but most libs piss on these patriots with all sorts of vile vitriol, and do everything in their power to undermine their abilities to perform their missions and to erode public support for them.

Just think how much better off our country would be without the likes of Pelosi and Reid around. It's mind boggling how much smoother our government would run. As long as Obama listens to them he has no chance of success. They wouldn't know a good piece of legislation if it jumped out of the dirt and bit them right on the end of their uppity noses. He should tell them both to sit down and shut the hell up quit listening to MoveOn and Code Pink.

Having grown up in Little Rhody, I know the depth of indifference and the resignation that people fall into after years of not holding their pols to any kind of standard. RI could be the poster child for that, small as it is. Think I am beginning to see this on a national level, and I hope I'm wrong--but don't think I am. If one doesn't take care of the little things like Obama's cavalier attitude towards his lack of ethics and inner integrity, then they turn into big things and get out of control. Result: Rhode Island and New Jersey on a large scale.

Obama has built up a litany of catch-phrases to such questions. "That's a distraction," or "That's the old politics as usual and is something I reject." He's never had to answer for himself up to now, what makes people think we have the right to make him answer now? After all, he won!

The sheer and growing enormity of Obama's ability to negate most (not yet all)of his campaign promises is reaching troublesome levels. And...he does not bother to explain or justify why he is hiring lobbyists after proclaiming not, why he feels he is above the much touted conservation tenets of his constituency, why he promised 'no pork' and runs around frantically promoting the biggest pork bill in the history of the country, why he cheerily seeks the services of tax cheats(even though they paid it back, we all know they'll do it again when able). There are serious, serious, serious flaws in this administration and in less than two weeks. I wonder when the MSM media is finally going to acknowledge this. There has to be some honest people in their ranks, however small.

On top of all the name calling and demongogory put out by the demoncrates, when are they going to admit that 14 real Democrats voted not to pass this huge suckling tit which is connected to the government 'Kool Aid'.

As I explained to my 73year old mother, "Obama, don't worry about Obama, he doesn't have a clue. Pelosi, Pelosi is the most dangerous person in government today."

I hope Cindy Sheehan wins her seat. Her and Franken(if he succeeds in stealing that election) are going to be a lot of fun watching two moonbats flailing against reality.....

<blockquote>How can they blame Republicans when 11 Democrats voted against the ’stimulus’ bill? It was bipartisan support AGAINST the bill - and only partisan support FOR it.

An excellent point overlooked, rather, I should say, unmentioned, by our <em>Pravda</em> media.

<blockquote>Sorry that wasn’t called for. I didn’t vote for anyone.

So what right do you have to complain about anything said here about the <strike>Communist</strike> -er Democrat Party?

Question: what is this obsession with bipartishanship (and why does it sound so one party state to me)? Bipartisanship on say matters of national security (eg a decision to go to war) I can understand, but the rest seems ridiculous to me. How would you explain this obsession with bipartisanship to an outsider? Is it possible to do so in a paragraph or less?

Remember when candidate Obama said that he would review spending bills, "line by line," and take out wasteful spending. Well, in his first opportunity he didn't. He let Nancy Pelosi and company put together a pork-laden, wasteful monstrosity, called it his "stimulus" bill, and told Republicans they should vote for it "because I won." One more promise bites the dust and we're still in January!

Another Atlas Shrugged moment, where the Government demands the consent and willing assistance of the Productive to utterly destroy Production.

I hope the GOP shows the same backbone they did this summer during the Congressional Camp Out and tells Speaker Pelosi that if she wants to destroy the economy, she'll have to do it without their consent. After all, if Democrats are holding all the cards, why should they care if the Republicans don't even bother to play?

<blockquote>Rush Limbaugh is just a convenient excuse for the deliberately high-handed, arrogant approach by Democratic leadership — and the Republicans were right to reject it, especially on this porkfest of a bill.</blockquote>

Liberalism is a disease or religion. They hate this Country. They want to be rulers and tell you what to do, rather than accept the fact that they work for us. So, what do we do? Get rid of the Pelosi's, Boxers, Reids, Schumers and what's that other brain dead guy from Illinois? Oh, Durbin. On the same note, time to get rid of Olympia Snow and Susan Collins too - they are liberals too. Enough is enough. Oh ya, I forgot McCain and Lindsay Graham - they have to go too. Get involved and make the changes to save this country and your family. This is ridiculous.

I had lunch with a friend today and she thought it was awful that no Republicans voted for the crap sandwich. She has absolutely no idea what was in the bill, she things they did it for spite. This is going to be an uphill battle.

<blockquote>Rush Limbaugh is just a convenient excuse for the deliberately high-handed, arrogant approach by Democratic leadership — and the Republicans were right to reject it, especially on this porkfest of a bill.</blockquote>

Say it LOUD my brotha....AMEN to that!

The GOP Governors are for it and many States are going broke.

They will lobby for the stimulus plan.

It will be well over 600 pages.

<blockquote>How can they blame Republicans when 11 Democrats voted against the ’stimulus’ bill? It was bipartisan support AGAINST the bill - and only partisan support FOR it.

Yep, why are we not hearing about those eleven democrats and what is their say on this?

<blockquote>Here’s a news flash for Democrats: If you want Republican votes on legislation in this session,...</blockquote>

I don't want Republican votes on this legislation. None. Nada. Nil. It is every bit as terrible as you've been portraying it, in every aspect. So why this sudden interest in what could be done to get Republican votes? There should not be any Republican votes. There should not be any Democrat votes, either, but that's another story, and another battle.

What concerns me nowadays is that the $900-billion (and climbing) price tag is so appalling that counter-proposals for $100-billion are being given serious consideration, as if they are palatable. They aren't. If the initial, going-in price had been $100-billion, we would be screaming about it. But because it is such a small part of the original bill, it doesn't generate all that much outrage. Have we forgotten that the whole concept of government bail-outs is flawed?

Let us not forget, either, that President Obama's meeting with the Republicans to solicit their support generated the sound bite of the week: "I won." Was that supposed to endear the GOP House to his message?

<blockquote>
Doesn’t she know that they should take whatever money they can get from the taxpayers and use it for whatever they want?

Why not? That's what the Democrats are doing.

Here's a <a href="http://www.foxnews.com/politics/first100days/2009/01/29/palin-come-washington-hopes-talk-obama/" rel="nofollow">little more detail.</a>

<blockquote>A dinner Friday night at the home of financier Fred Malek also will give her a chance to lobby congressional leaders, like Sens. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., and Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., about Alaska issues regarding the federal stimulus package, she said.

The package calls for quick starts on construction projects, but Palin said Alaska will likely require an exemption to the strict timelines proposed because of the climate and shorter construction season.</blockquote>

It does sound as if the Alaska work would actually create some jobs and be part of the infrastructure improvement that's only 2.7% of the "stimulus".

No governor will say no to the handout , if it goes through.
Everyone needs to pay for it later anyway.
