Call me what you like – John McCain lost because he moved way too far toward the Far Right.

Barack Obama won becuase he moved toward The Right and didn’t cater to the Far Left loons in their party.

This is a Moderate country, being fiscally Conservative is what we are, but we are not some socially Conservative Far Right loon party full of haters and the under educated and ill-informed.

We were never that, that was the Democrat Party.

And that stradegy loses everytime.

John McCain is not a Republican, he’s a rino. And he was chosen by the media, and people like you. The media chose him for one reason – he couldn’t win. Never. Not under any circumstance. Your claim that Sarah ruined it for him is less than silly. She fired everyone up, and more than doubled his warchest. Until she came on board, half the republican party said they wouldn’t vote for him under any circumstance. Sarah gave him a huge boost, and kept him from getting beaten by twenty points.

Palin’s hateful campaign rheteric damaged the GOP and she knows it. This is why she is bending over backward throwing kisses at BO, it’s really sickening.

Ronald Reagan would have never stooped as low as she did, he would have never used the tactics she did to attract the people she did.

Nancy Reagan is still alive and well and we know how she felt about Palin and her followers. Mrs. Reagan choose not to say anything about Sarah Palin – which speaks volumes.

April, I’ve read your stuff in the past, and I never felt any aura of “right” emanate from it.

As for the GOP, it’s not the Grand Old Party anymore. It’s a bunch of neo-Dems with very, very few conservatives. Maybe a couple dozen in the House, and Jeff Sessions in the Senate.

Ronald Reagan left us with a shining example of what wins in America, but almost no “Republican” bothered to pay attention. Sarah Palin is the closest viable candidate we have today that remotely resembles Ronaldus Magnus, and it sure looks like you don’t like her. We need her, and we need the fire she brings.

If you’ve got someone else in mind, I’m open to suggestion.

Sarah Palin could never win an election. The Independents, Moderate Reps and Dems who supported Reagan hated her, had McCain picked someone else we would have won.

She brought a fire under the lowest common denominator – the very bottom of the barrel of the GOP, this is fact.

Perhaps this Party is not for you anymore. Instead of trying to undermine and destroy it – perhaps you should leave it.

Bottomline – this is no game. The game is over and we lost because of this kind of floatsum and jettsom that has found their way into the GOP. It has nothing to do with Liberals or Jimmy Carter at all, you are skirting the real issue.

We need voters and support.
