Do you ever say that about your president if you are an American who loves your country? Would you say it about George W. Bush, who was disastrous; about Bill Clinton, who was slimy; about Jimmy Carter, who was inept; about Richard Nixon, who was crooked? You may think he’s going to fail, yes. You may warn he’s going to fail, yes.

But do you ever hope he fails? Knowing his failure is the country’s failure? Isn’t that, well . . . disloyal?”

Knowing his failure is the country’s failure?

I think that assumption is wrong. Obama’s failure might mean the countries survival. Nevertheless, Rush shouldn’t have put it that way.

Having read President Obama’s books and listened to his speeches, I, too, hope that he fails to achieve what will result in a more socialist America. That does not mean that I hope the country fails. I hope the country is very successful. I believe, however, that In order for the country to succeed Obama will have to abandon the academic socialism to which he has dedicated his life.

His failure isn’t the country’s failure is his successes are in fact the country’s failure.

This country will NEVER fail, however Obama needs to fail and most likely will. This country is NOT about Obama or Clinton or Carter, or Bush. Carter failed, and our country became stronger afteward. Same thing will happen after Obama fails.

Rush and Obama are already debating in public….
Rush’s ideals have already won…..
The only battle is that Republicans hold firm in their
core beliefs….

If Obama fails to do what he’s trying, America succeeds. Obama’s success will be a failure for America that will take generations to undo, even if we survive as one nation and don’t split over it.

The stimulus package buys a permanent majority for the dems if they can continue to get their people and the ones ACORN helps vote multiple times out to the polls. Then us conservatives are going to be painted as evil for wanting to “cut healthcare to poor, helpless little children,” “want to let people make whatever they want, even rich people,” etc.

I hope Obama succeeds in pulling us out of this, but he WON’T DO IT WITH WHAT HE WANTS TO DO, which is what Rush was referring to. Rush knows Obama’s success would be the end of American culture as we know it.

There are already loud whispers about wage control. It won’t be long before we start seeing limits on pay, which is ironic because those people are who the dems will need to pay the taxes to fuel this huge increase in government. But then, they were stupid enough to propose increasing SCHIP funding to families of 4 making $60,000 a year on the backs of smokers, while they try to end smoking.

Ok…fine…I hope Obama (policy) fails. Is that better? Which I think was Rush’s whole point. Obama does not hope conservative values succeed. Why should I (we) hope for his liberalism/socialism to succeed?
