Funny, when I read all your questions to Benny, it all blended into one question in my mind: What must it be like to be a liberal? I think I’ve heard Rush talk about that which is what sparked my memory in the first place.

Well said. Pity is the only appropriate emotion.

Well, pity – and some amusement at the obvious hypocrisy. The current President is, after all, an admitted coke head. It takes some special silliness to ignore that and bring up college kids – gasp! – drinking before they hit 21.

You really do have to pity him – because any one with a human soul should have been moved by that video. Party politics had exactly zero to do with it.

And for what its worth, the final picture of Barack and his family was also pretty touching and moving.

You see, I can notice and acknowledge that freely. Because I have a soul.

Sad for Benny. Happy for the rest of us.

A minor point, but I love how the girls use the word “she” and not “it” to describe the White House.

If the Bush quartet — with at least one DUI, an uncharged vehicular homicide, and multiple Minor in Possession of Alcohol violations among them — constitute “class” in your book, then yes, I am the opposite of what you consider “class.”

Start taking notes people… Let’s definitely not have such a hatred for Obama that we attack his children. That was a classy, beautiful statement by two classy, beautiful women.

Very little could provide more of a rewarding, heartbreaking, confusing, educating or enlightening childhood than being that of a President of the United States.

I specifically remember an SNL skit that poked fun at her looks.

I do too. In fact, i wrote a letter to SNL about it. I guess a lot of other people did, too, because they didn’t do it again.

I was in my twenties and a Republican, but as a young girl, i was a “late bloomer”. I could relate to a young girl since I had recently been there myself, only without the media scrutiny. I was enraged at the early treatment of Chelsea, and as fair warning, I’m going to be very pissed if people go after the Obama girls for stupid reasons.

I’ll challenge their dad at every turn, but attacking young girls is filthy.

It is funny, I remember when you lefties ran around calling Bush 43 a druggie, and now you’ve chosen an ex-coke fiend for your messiah, ah the irony.

Shouldn’t Obama’s drug dealer be coming out with a book soon? Or was Obama his own dealer?

The Bush’s have showed such class during this transition and in less than a week I have been amazed at thearrogance of Obama. God Bless the Bush family!!

I could swear I’ve heard the girls reading that letter sometime last week, but I can’t remember where. Such a kind and sweet thing for the Barbara and Jenna to do.

I had forgot about Spot. He was the son of Millie, GHWB’s dog. Barbara Bush published a book called Millie’s Book as a literacy fund raiser. That brought back memories.
