Can Obama really claim a mandate, when he didn’t actually run on a pledge to do anything? Unless you count bringing the troops home from Iraq, which is a pledge he already broke.

Good point, but even there he tried to avoid saying that he would “spread the wealth around.” That’s why it was so devastating when Joe the Plumber asked him that question. He’d inadvertently spoken the truth.

But he did’t say, “Vote for me, and I’ll spread the wealth around.”

He tried to avoid taking any controversial positions, and this is exactly the time when he should be reminded that if you didn’t run on a pledge to do something, you can’t claim you were given a mandate to do it.

The Marxist left’s idea of bi-partisanship. They’re always a winner in their own minds, even when their not. Kind of like Hamas declaring “victory” in the recent fighting.

Sounds like Al Franken would be the perfect Senator in this environment….. I’m good enough, I’m smart enough, and gosh darn it people like me! I’m going to go out there and spew arrogant partisan crap like “I won so you can STFU.” It’s going to be a long four years.

That’s because he’s believing his own press- that his inaguration means we are “one united nation.” The filthy bastard barely got a majority and he’s acting like the entire nation has complete and utter trust in anything the teleprompter tells him to say. The reality is that half the nation doesn’t trust him and he’s got the arrogance to think that his is the only opinion that matters.

We are not one united nation. There is a healthy skepticism out there and the only people that don’t seem to understand it are the cult followers.

A long time ago, and apparently on some other planet, I was taught that if you are in a leadership position and you have to pull rank to get things done, you fail as a leader.

Positional leadership also doesn’t mean that one has the only position that matters. Obama and his crowd of corrupt Chicago politicians and career Democrats are acting like they don’t need to factor in opposing opinion. There’s going to be one steep learning curve, given the filthy bastards inability to understand that winning doesn’t mean arrogance is going to be tolerated.

Obviously if the adage “You have to spend money to make money” is true; then spending money always creates money and in fact is the best thing possible.

I can’t see a single logical fallacy there, so going into debt as far as you can and piddling away all the money with nothing to show for it is the best financial advice ever.

Here I’ve been an idiot saving and investing instead of spending. Think how rich I could be if I had spent all that money frivolously as soon as I got it.
