Video: The stupid yet obligatory “high-five inauguration” clip

posted at 4:30 pm on January 22, 2009 by Allahpundit

From Funny or Die, another entry on the “die” side of the ledger. Why post it, then? You’ll see. Here’s a foolproof way to tell if you’re a beta male who spends too much time reading political news: If, after watching this, you find yourself thinking, “Hey, wasn’t that Steny Hoyer?”

Watch for the cameo from your least favorite woman pundit. No, not Kathleen Parker. The other one.

Blowback

So, I mean, if this is unity…and coming alongside our new prez..I’m in. But, in real life, c’mon…

It made me smile a little bit.

Mommypundit on January 22, 2009 at 4:39 PM

Aren’t high fives supposed to be….well, high? Those are more like hand slaps.

Funny or Die needs a bailout@!!

Shy Guy on January 22, 2009 at 4:43 PM

And on a humorous note, did you see the latest calamity to befall the Obama administration? They cant Twitter! Oh the humanity!!!

wise_man on January 22, 2009 at 4:59 PM

I thought it was funny…but it began to drag about 3/4 of the way through. But still pretty good..and Gingrich was a good sport about it.

Blaise on January 22, 2009 at 5:00 PM

I didn’t see Andrew Sullivan.

Lehosh on January 22, 2009 at 5:04 PM

Part of me has died while watching that.

LimeyGeek on January 22, 2009 at 5:04 PM

I will never join the black movement, frankly, it makes me want to have a bowel movement. There should be no Black movement, or a white movement, or female movement, it’s suppose to be an American movement. I will never..EVER (In my best “Bob Toricelli” voice- slapping my podium)…partake in the black horseshit. I’d rather go to my death bed with my dignity. My only wish is that I might “Die among Men”-Herbert George Wells (H.G. Wells, The Time Machine. The original, not that new crap. I suggest everyone MUST watch this, my all time favorite movie, and take a look into the very VERY near future. Not talking about the monsters…… but the PEOPLE!…wow)

eplain on January 22, 2009 at 5:04 PM

Cool in it’s randomness.

LimeyGeek on January 22, 2009 at 5:06 PM

I’d rather tattoo it on my butt and walk around naked….wait…that would in actuality, somehow be JOINING the black movement…No?

eplain on January 22, 2009 at 5:11 PM

We could only hope.

wise_man on January 22, 2009 at 4:59 PM

I’m sure you do hope I die.

MadisonConservative on January 22, 2009 at 5:11 PM

Good video. nothing snarky in it.

Peggy Noonan can suck an egg though. Bitch.

portlandon on January 22, 2009 at 5:20 PM

The original two high five clips were brilliant. This is boring. They should have stuck with the original music from the other clip.

Vincenzo on January 22, 2009 at 5:22 PM

Not bad.
