Video: Michelle and Glenn Beck on Geithner

When I wrote the last post, I mostly focused on Tim Geithner’s tax issues. The boss and Glenn Beck remind us today that Geithner has a few other problems on his resumé, including the fact that he wrote the original TARP program that got tossed aside like yesterday’s news by Henry Paulson as worthless as soon as Paulson got the money. Geithner didn’t exactly cover himself in glory at the New York Fed, either.
If this is “uniquely qualified”, it’s small wonder we’re in the trouble we’re in:
At least The Gambler knew when to hold ‘em, and knew when to fold ‘em. Maybe Kenny Rogers should be Secretary of the Treasury. The Republicans would probably confirm him, too — and Michelle has a few words for “the party of supplication”.

The CNBC shills are really pushing Geithner. The guy has failed time and again unless you call AIG and Bear Stearns some sort of success, but CNBS will leg hump him anyway.

The media pushed Mr. McCain on us………
The media pushed Mrs. Clinton on us……..
and………..
……. the media will push this Ass-Clo@n on us, because by the way, they are objective journalists after all.
And when you don’t have a dime left in the bank……….?

We are like China now. A criminal class in control. Most of us headed for low wage jobs. Most of our financial assests radically devalued. The majority of the population with a bad case of the numbnuts just pulling the levers for the criminal class that keeps throwing them crumbs in return.

I got home from work just in time to see this (first time I’ve seen Beck’s new show, also) and Michelle was great. I hope she becomes a regular on his show.

Beck’s show is great. He nails the issues. Why does Shepard Smith still have a job?

Morals!!!
Something that is sadly missing in Washington DC!!

Kennedy cited “personal reasons,” according to sources.
Maybe it finally, you know, dawned on her highness that a majority of the New Yawk peasants and other assorted riffraff were not, you know, exactly fawning over her majesty’s, you know, imperial regalness.

The thermometer is going lower, more than it went higher before.
Time there was warmth and plenty, but that cup soon runneth no more.
Though we could not caution all, we still might warn a few:
Dont lend your hand to raise no flag atop no ship of fools.
Ship of fools on a cold cruel sea, ship of fools sail away from we.
It was later than we thought, when we first might have believed as you,
Now we cannot share your delusions, ship of fools.
MB4 on January 21, 2009 at 7:23 PM
Paul said today on Bloomberg that this is Geithner’s MO. He messes up, then he gets a promotion.
Rae on January 21, 2009 at 7:23 PM
Right on, Michelle! You nailed both parties again and rightfully so. The Republicans are so afraid of standing up and speaking up! Or maybe they are now in the tank for the O. How about Hillary vote — for the wife of a guy who sold secrets to China, has a running business deal with Dubai and who knows what else (and then there’s the “I don’t recall” testimonies)– was it 94-2? Wimps to the right of me as Goldberg would say. Except I don’t think there are any on the right any more.
Christian Conservative on January 21, 2009 at 7:24 PM
I’m curious as to who folks would prefer over Geithner at this point. If he goes down, who should Obama nominate?
dakine on January 21, 2009 at 7:25 PM
I have heard “rumors” that Bloomberg’s requests under the Freedom of Information Act are being denied.
MB4 on January 21, 2009 at 7:27 PM
Michael “Heck of a Job” Brown would fit perfectly. Like Geithner he screwed up before but at least I don’t think that he ever cheated on his income tax.

I just had a frank talk with a friend of mine
about our jobs, the economy and weather or not to invest in the stock market or pay off bills..
I flat out told him to look at what both the left is saying and doing by its actions.
I explained to him how leftists are like the oligarchs who surrounded the chelcheskius in romainia
Sucking all they could out of the countries treasury
When the entire system collapsed the pregular people Stormed the presidential palace and HUNG both their beloeved leader and his whore wife and kids.
they then went after all of those liberals who were stealing out of the treasury.
I told him what i am doing.
a. I stopped all contributions to my 401 k as it has lost over 30 % of its value.
b. i stopped all stock purchases period for the wall street crooks at bear sterns and these other hedge funds have put their fingers on the scale (tipping the odds all in their favor).
You see i know i cannot beat
1. the crooked liberals in the white house
2. the crooked republicans on wall street
3. the Crimals in congress who fraudulently inflated the value of freddie and fanny may so they could rip off the americans for hundreds of billions of dollars
4. the crooked news media working for the liberals
5. the criminal liberals who are working to rip off whats left of the treasury..
So what can i do?
A. stop all credit card purchases immidiatly
B. Take the funds i would have used for buying stocks or putting in my 401k and use these to pay off the credit card
C. Cut off all unessesary expenses (next is cable tv and the internet)
D. cut down on all other unnecessary expenses.
E. ptart paying off bills from the least amount to the highest.
F. turn off my heater during the day
Anything to stop the bleeding.
you see i showed him that you will not recover that 30% lost not for a few years so dont ever look at the money in the 401k leave it do not borrow on it
Instead increase the amount you can pay off on your bills
select the smalles one and pay it off first
Then repeat the next month
I will have to do this for over 1 year before i can free up enough cash to even think about putting my money in the craps well called wall street.
Its all crooked
You cant stop them
but you can help yourself by doing what i am..
Stop the bleeding in your households..
period.
oh and i will say this
if it comes down to paying for food on the table or car insurance .. i will park my car and walk or take the bus.

BUY GOLD.
The rumors are flying that barry and his economic team will revalue gold anyday. Better buy it now, not stocks, real gold that you have in your possession. After they revalue it they may move against private ownership like their hero fdr so don’t keep it in a bank safety deposit box.

I love MM, she just makes so much sense, and I think Glenn Beck is terrific. I have trouble picking up his show on the radio where I live, so it is great to see him on Fox. He makes a lot of sense. I too hope that he will have MM on his show often, they seem to hit it off very well.
clinker46 on January 21, 2009 at 8:03 PM
I like Glenn Beck, but he does not make Michelle look like a moonbat in comparison. Glenn is far too naive about the Religion of Peace; Michelle is not.
Disturb the Universe on January 21, 2009 at 8:09 PM
Trivia: Geithner’s father and Obama’s mother worked together for the Ford Foundation.
Our goal right now, as conservatives, should be 1. check the power of the Democratic party and put the brakes on socialism — which is coming full speed ahead now. 2. Replace the GOP Congressmen who supported the bailout and are doing nothing to oppose Obama on important issues like amnesty and Geithner and so forth. It is open season on John McCain, when we can afford to spare him, maybe sooner than that. Because Obama is far from stupid, and it’s obvious what he’s doing. Read the Dick Morris article up on RCP this morning, if you’re unsure.
chunderroad on January 21, 2009 at 8:11 PM
I think they should invite random conservative bloggers.
I could nominate about three from around here. Entertaining and enlightening.
Not me. My thoughts have become sad, dark and brooding.

Glenn Beck disgusts me. How dare he besmirch the good name of clowns by comparing them to those squirreley, duplicitous bastards in office.
BKennedy on January 21, 2009 at 8:27 PM
Ummm…are we talking about the same Glenn Beck who called out Islam here and here?
Dude has been way ahead of the curve since 9/11 in bringing radical islam into the sparkling disinfectant of the conservative press where it should be.
hot-heir on January 21, 2009 at 8:43 PM
It’s like the Joker has been put in charge of America and Geithner is just one of his henchmen. It’s going to be four years of hell on earth, one lie after another.
Mojave Mark on January 21, 2009 at 8:48 PM
Clarification: By conservative press, I am in no way trying to imply his old flagship CNN is. Glenn’s newsletter, Fuse, would fall under that.

All Islam is radical, which is what Glenn doesn’t get. Yes, he is better than most of the conservative press, but he’s no Robert Spencer.

Disturb the Universe on January 21, 2009 at 9:08 PM
Glenn’s no slouch, he’s on top of his game, but he’s probably still working out the bugs in the new show since it’s in the first week.
BTW for those that don’t listen to his radio program; he’s a conservative little “l” libertarian. And he’s uses a lot of satire.

First off, thanks for posting this video Ed.
Great interview Michelle. Addressing the above quote, to me, the GOP are nothing more than a bowl full of turds. I am so through with them I can hardly express myself.
Boot licking idiots. That’s the best I can do.
Zorro on January 21, 2009 at 9:30 PM
Beck’s good. His show is about 15 times better than Hannitys. Both radio, and especially TV.
therightwinger on January 21, 2009 at 9:56 PM
I am convinced that most Representatives and Senators are just the “face” of the legislature and that their staffs run the show.
Most of these people have no idea of what specifics are in bills that are presented and they have no idea of what questions to ask the people they interview unless their staff preps them beforehand.
Vince on January 21, 2009 at 9:58 PM
Not a bad description of the tone of the Republican Party. I think the big problem is all of those who are serving in Washington were the same ones who turned their backs on the traditions of our Conservative Beliefs. That whole smaller less intrusive Government. Now, they can’t very well argue for it, when they had the chance, they ran from it as fast as they could.
In Hockey, when you put all new players on the ice it’s called a Line Change. It’s time for a Line Change in the Republican Party, and we need to retire the existing line.
Snake307 on January 21, 2009 at 10:03 PM
Nice chemistry between Michelle and Glenn on this segment. And in 5 minutes or less they covered more truth than the entire hearings on this nominated clown.
Glenn Beck is the best thing that has happened to FNC in a long time. Eventually, he’ll be one of their prime time stars.
MoCoM on January 21, 2009 at 10:31 PM
Kenny Rogers had some unidentified substance on his hands at the World Series a couple years ago. Boy oh boy, what a media firestorm that was. I don’t think the Republicans would confirm him after that spectacle.

This really is the system in the Democrat party. Think about Jimmey, and BJ. Bob Schrum has yet to win a political campaign for anyone but that hasn’t stopped him.. I’m surprised Edwards didn’t get advanced but then he could gag a maggot so I guess there really is a limit.
But it isn’t limited to failed human beings. There’s the New Deal, The Great Society, Community Redevelopment Act of 1975 with the resulting disaster in the housing market via Fanny and Freddie. The list could go on and on. I think I’ve made my point: On the left, failure is a resume enhancement. Results are irrelevant, the intent is what’s important.

And Fox should move Beck to prime time. Smith starts his show with “the news starts now”. Not exactly swift for a program that follows the best news program on tv.
