Stay classy: Obama cultists jeer departing Bush

posted at 4:00 pm on January 20, 2009 by Allahpundit

Two clips, both from MSNBC (of course), one from the ceremony itself and the second from when his chopper carried him and Laura away. Doubtless many of the same turds heard chanting here spent the past four years assuring people that Bush would cancel the election and declare martial law to install himself as supreme leader. Instead he was a model of cooperation with the transition. And still, they couldn’t bear to receive him even with pointed silence.

How classless is this? Even Chris Matthews is embarrassed. But look on the bright side: It proves that not every word that escapes the Messiah’s lips is received as gospel truth by his disciples. Click the second image to watch.

Well I was in class earlier when this happened and was reading the blog here on HA, and now watching that clip my stomach curled and it all makes sense after seeing the clip… Also small kudo’s to MSNBC for calling them out, but inside they were pretty happy I imagine.

Oh and on a personal note, on my facebook my cousin announced “America is freedom and now it truly will be”. Makes me sick.

Does anyone know what happened to Tiger Woods’ participation in the inaugural festivities??

It was announced he would be participating to celebrate (in his barfy press statement) “a man of color” but I haven’t or seen anything about it.

I’m interested in being the nice guy who lost but works his butt off to win the next one, without letting a bunch of classless and immature morons change who I am.

BadgerHawk on January 20, 2009 at 4:30 PM

How many “next ones” do you think you’re gonna get? America, like Europe, will turn into a bunch of disco trash sissies within a few generations. Liberalism is a disease that has destroyed most of the western world and without full scale social and political war it will choke the life out of conservative America. But by all means go back to “meaningful dialogue” and “class”. See how far that gets you.

That isn’t what they expected? Maddow didn’t expect this after 8 years of beating this man to death with her words? Of whipping this crowd into a frenzy over baseless claims? Give me a break, Maddow. You reap what you sow and you certainly helped plant this.

Sue on January 20, 2009 at 4:40 PM

My thoughts exactly Sue, see my earlier post. It’s outrageous they act as if the crowds lack of class and vitriol is a surprise especially since the MSM was so complicite and biased against Bush for 8 years, and this bimbo has the gall to say “this was not expected.”

PUH-LEASE, NOT EXPECTED MY AZZ!!!

Liberty or Death on January 20, 2009 at 4:45 PM

Strikes me as odd that Chrissy Matthews and the rest of the MSNBC dolts have done nothing but heap scorn and venom on President Bush for years now. And then they are shocked… shocked!… when they see where this classlessness leads.

Thank you President Bush.

Believe me folks, you’re going to miss this guy in 3..2..1…

Just one? You’re lucky, my facebook’s going nuts with this crap. Even my stupidass college has an inaugural party. I left its facebook group. Maybe instead of sex toy bingo and Obama inaugural parties they could give me some of my tuition money back to buy something useful like a laptop. I can’t wait for student council elections.

is “Starting today, we must pick ourselves up, pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off, and begin again the work of remaking America.”

became a fan of Barrack Obama,we continue to believe in.

I think you’re wrong, MC. First time we get hit, they’re going to blame Bush for it. The amount of damage Katrina did was never of as much interest to the libs as simply attacking the President for it happening at all. As long as they’re not affected, the libs don’t care about getting hit. They’ll just have fun blaming Bush, Rumsfeld, Cheney, ect. And lost in all that, will be whatever limp-d*ck retaliation that Obama will come up with.

If someone knew nothing about the relative merits of conservative or liberal political philosophy, all you’d have to do is look at the actions of the adherents of each school of thought. I’m quite sure the incoming administration won’t find the ‘O’ keys on the computer keyboards removed like the Clinton workers did for Bush. Lord help the staff that replaces his if Obama looses his re-election.

It’s not easy to be the opposition in a democracy. There’s a reason much of the rest of the world settles their political arguments with bullets and machetes.

As a constitutional republic, we should be far above tribalism and slash-and-burn politics. We should be comfortable enough to debate the choice of our leadership in a sober and thoughtful way, confident that the simple but powerful rules that restrain the behavior of our government will protect our basic liberties. No one should have to confront the aftermath of an election with the fear that the majority will jail him for his beliefs, kill him in retaliation for backing the wrong side… or confiscate his property because they think someone else deserves it more, or destroy his business because other businesses have convinced the government to rig the economy in their favor. Of course, we have nothing resembling this state of affairs in America today. We are passionate, to the point of anger, because our lives and fortunes depend on who gets elected to office – exactly the condition our founders despised.

Free men choose carefully, and accept setbacks gracefully, because they truly believe in the system, including the methods used to elect its leaders, and have confidence the nation is so strong that no leader, or party, can mortally wound it. Children react with blind rage, because their lives and souls are bound up in the choice of leadership – they feel they, personally, lost in 2000 and 2004, and won today. The sad and scary thing is that they’re not entirely wrong to feel that way, and we are about to take a trillion steps toward joining them in the crib.

When Clinton came to give the commencement to the Air Force Academy in ‘99 the cadets, mostly being concervative, were given multiple speeches about not turning our backs on him. Not that any of us had planned to do so, as he was the CINC. When gave his why Bosnia is important and not a wag the dog operation political speech as our comencement address we sat politely and payed atantion because he was the CINC. And, while many did not want to shake his hand everyone did, because we respect the office. Now view that against our “ivy league betters” performance at places like Yale with President Bush. That is the left in this country. They are mostly no talent @$$clowns. (Notice I did not say all, don’t want to stereotype or profile, don’t want to be not PC)

The One’s base is actually a complex question. Moron, idiot, imbecile or even Delaware or Chicago resident may not define the creature.

Moron denotes a lack of intelligence. I think an IQ of 50 to 70 quantifies it. You may research capabilities and achievement possibilities on your own.

The other terms don’t cut it either.

I think the losers who support The One usually have an element of neediness, a simplistic world view, feelings of fear and inferiority and usually a sense of entitlement. Many are extremely hostile to this country or at least the traditional culture. They follow the herd in forming opinions and look to show personalities and outsiders for models. They do not respect rules so much as results and their goals are very shortsighted.

And The One knows perfectly well WHO is base is and how to rack this country with pain by using them. Just watch.

Dear God, forgive them for they know not what they do. Yes it’s a reference to what Jesus prayed regarding his persecutors. I’m not equating W with Jesus, just saying, if the Creator of the world got jeered, then good, faithful men will also get jeered.

I would have been stunned if it were otherwise. Obama the post-racial politician, with a bunch of losers leading the boos for Bush, and a racist minister “praying” at his invocation.

We’re not far away from that. Look who are entering this country – MS-13 in particular. They actually do settle their disputes with machetes. Of course, members of terror cells. And Politically Correct types who will not be afraid of calling the US “the world’s middle finger.” We’re extending the Welcome mat to the people who would steal and kill us cold! Give it twenty more years, and you’ll see…

I’m not going to walk around with bitterness about everything that has happened. I have two daughters to raise – one three weeks away from her due date. I wanted to drive up I-45 to the airport where Pres. Bush was scheduled to arrive from Washington and welcome him back home to his state. It should have taken me about three to four hours for the drive (I’m in the Houston area, and that airport is not far from Waco.) I wanted for my older one to see him arrive home, to witness history as a two-year-old.

But I can do something else for her instead. I can and will take her and her sister to the Presidential Library after it’s built, whenever it happens. I will teach them about what he encountered during the whole of his term and the hatred his enemies had for him, to the point of forgetting all terms of civility. (I am surprised that there was not a visible attempt against his life that we all know of, here, in this land. He will have protection for ten years, and then… he will have to stack up on his guns and ammo.)

I miss him and Laura already!

I agree. How could they expect different? I watched as much MSNBC as I could stand last night, and at every show, the flock of idiots below them were being spoon-fed this attitude by Maddow, Olberdouche, etc. They were holding up signs that said “ARREST BUSH” and crap like that. MSNBC should NOT be surprised because they were the ones who prompted this type of behavior not just this past month, but since Bush took office.

None of that stuff counts because somehow you made millions of morons put pen to paper and buy homes they couldn’t afford! clearbluesky on January 20, 2009 at 6:02 PM

We should begrudge the left their twisted ideology, not their passion. Their passion won out. It’s the only thing about them we should emulate. It has been winning out for the last 40 years as their initiatives gain ground at the expense of our common heritage. Their programs get pushed through at the expense of our taxes. Their bias gets implemented at the expense of truth. Their ideologues become your children’s teachers at the expense of education. Their angry mobs get results at the expense of public opinion. Their protests get results at the expense of the common good. Their internet armies come through at the expense of democratic will. And finally, their candidate gets sworn it at the expense of your candidate.

Passion, however expressed, works. Embrace it. Shout it. Sing it. Hatred is nothing more than passionate dislike. Somehow passionate dislike got a bad name and now everyone is quick to disown it as some kind of moral failing. Never disown your passion. Do not apologize or feel embarrassed by it. Passion is the only thing that ever changed the world.

If only conservatives were as motivated and passionate as the left, the country would not be in the shape it is today, nor in the hands of a man who smoked dope at the foot of a Marxist intellectual. Taking the high road leads to doom. Too many people refuse to believe that. They have been raised with nice principles, but ones predicated on false premises.

The difference between good and bad is not class, it’s not language, it’s not whether you sing a goodbye song, or tip your hat to your enemy. So let’s stop these foolish references to Dailykos or appeals to class. The difference between good and evil, between what we are and what they are, is what we believe to be right – the fundamental principle of freedom, liberty, capitalism, free enterprise, and the traditional work ethic. Remember what Barry Goldwater said. Moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue. Extremism in the pursuit of liberty is no vice. Don’t pull your punches when you are fighting the good fight. Get down in the trenches and give as good as you get. In the end, it pays dividends.

I must be cruel only to be kind

What utter lack of self-awareness and responsibility. And they’ll do it again when another republican is elected president because they have no class or intelligence. They’re in love with themselves and the sound of their voices.

It is pay back for 8 years of Bush bashing, if our elected officials think the left will work and want to work with the republicans THERE NUTS! And should be voted out! Starting with Senator Graham and Senator McCain who have been sucking up to this Marxist, like little puppies trying to get milk from there mother. Obama, in offering a few words today about the man he called “Teddy”, after Sen. Kennedy suddenly had to be taken to the hospital, very curiously said, “I would be lying to you if I did not say that right now a part of me is with him.”

What kind of a casual phrase is that at a time like that one, regarding Kennedy’s sudden health emergency? “I would be lying to you if…” (?)

It isn’t the first time Obama’s used that curious phrase in a speech either. Makes me ponder when are the times he is lying to us. (I believe he is “less than candid” quite a lot, actually.)

This sounds an awful lot like “winning at any cost.” Frankly, if I have to become like the people at DailyKos to win, I’d rather lose.

For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? – Matthew 16:26

TheUnrepentantGeek on January 20, 2009 at 6:45 PM

This sounds an awful lot like “winning at any cost.

That’s right. That’s how we prosecuted WW II. All out war.

Don’t be so concerned with your own soul that you sacrifice your nation. Live for the real world, not for some heavenly reward. If you live for some obtuse notion of some afterlife, you are not much use to your fellow citizens.

You can tell the greatness of a man by his enemies as well as by his friends.

NOTE TO MY CONSERVATIVE FRIENDS:

You all don’t have to become like that. You all stay classy. You’ve got your libertarian buddies watching y’all’s backs.

We’ll take the hits. We’ll be the attack dogs for the Right, and as nasty against Obama as the Obama-tards just were to Bush.

Good cop/Bad cop. Let it begin. We on the Right (libertarians and conservatives) will prevail.

Kids had to watch D.C. on the big screen at school for almost the entire day. No gym, no band, no instruction whatsoever. Now, one has an assignment for tomorrow…..he has to write how he “feels” about our new President. Since I already know how this child “feels” about him I asked him what he wants to write?
I learned he is one brilliant boy and I am less worried now about his convictions and ability to understand the big picture on what the school system is trying to do to him!

OT:I know there will be a post probably tomorrow about this, but I just finished watching the majority of President Bush’s remarks upon his arrivval in Midland. A class speech. If anybody has link to video post it. He reminded me why I believe the way I do and made me appreciate his service even more.

You can thank the outgoing President at the following new site:

http://mission1accomplished.com/

Click on the link to add your “thank you” — the next screen allows you to leave your own message of thanks.

Edouard on January 20, 2009 at 6:06 PM

I won’t click the link. According to the information available via WHOIS this domain was set up yesterday? I’m suspicious that Bush is going to see any of this..

tartan on January 20, 2009 at 7:18 PM

I emailed these clips to my kool-aid drinking brother and he actually got all pissy saying that I was being too negative on this “historic” day.

I told him…honey, you’d better grow some thick skin if you expect to survive the next four years and to remember that 59,934,786 of us didn’t vote for him.

The Ugly American on January 20, 2009 at 7:20 PM

Good to see the level of decorum that is accepted towards the President. Thanks Democrats, I’ll certainly keep that in mind concerning Boo Boo.

I would not have expected anything else from this group. They are petty and mean spirited individuals right to the end. Funny thing is, they embody everthing about the “ugly American” that Barack and his celebrity brotherhood have railed against.

Oh and on a personal note, on my facebook my cousin announced “America is freedom and now it truly will be”. Makes me sick.

Your cousin needs a history lesson and punch in the face.
Matthews saying,”Bad form” doesn’t absolve him of the bashing he did for the last eight years. He WAS an a-hole, he IS an a-hole, he ALWAYS WILL BE an a-hole.

…Passion, however expressed, works. Embrace it. Shout it. Sing it. Hatred is nothing more than passionate dislike. Somehow passionate dislike got a bad name and now everyone is quick to disown it as some kind of moral failing. Never disown your passion. Do not apologize or feel embarrassed by it. Passion is the only thing that ever changed the world….

Vile, mentally challenged malcontents. Do any of these morons actually work for a living, do the CODE PINK, ANSWER and WORLD CAN’T WAIT folks support themselves in any legitimate way? My guess is they are the bike messenger, pizza delivery, tuition – waived college student, bottom dwelling, public assistance loving minimum wagers that have to project their own failure onto others so they don’t off themselves when they look in the mirror. May they all continue to enjoy frustration at their inability to compete and succeed!

This is why I don’t really dig the Palin republicans. They think the “Golly Gee”, and “Awww Shucks” mentality is endearing to the whole nation, just like this phony class argument. Well it isn’t. It is mocked and ridiculed on a nightly basis and that is how you win the culture over.

You win by shaming the other side, and at this point in our culture the only shame to be felt is when you are made to appear stupid and simple. I am sick of the nice bullsheet, and it is that kind of thinking that has created this quivering mass of excrement known as the GOP. F’ em. I want spit, blood and nails to the bone. I want to be the most hateful, ugly bastard the left has ever dealt with. I think only Dennis Miller can save us now.

Conservatives R Us on January 20, 2009 at 6:14 PM: “I will never forget President Bush. There were a few things like immigration and drilling that ticked me off but over all, I think he was sincere. I can’t say I feel that way about Barack.”

I noticed a long time ago that the people whose words are least to be trusted are always going out of their way to assure you that what they are saying is the absolute truth. I think you’ve picked up on a “tell” from Obama that he’s not sincere in this.

Another classic “tell” that Obama is lying is when he starts off a sentence with, “I have always said that …” It usually means he’s just reversed position.

ThereGoesTheNeighborhood on January 20, 2009 at 11:39 PM

Matthews might have been embarrassed, but I’ll bet Olbermann wasn’t.

Yeah, and that’s only because Matthews is too stupid to know and understand who his “constituency” is.

+1000. Couldn’t have said it better myself.

I’m guessing most of the people who comment on this board don’t live in the Northeast. Every day in this Upstate New York town I am verbally and visually assaulted with cars that are plastered with silly-ass anti-Bush bumper stickers, small-time local politicians grandstanding with meaningless and gratutious anti-Bush gestures, and rude, unintelligent types who think American Beauty is the height of profound high culture, yet have the nerve to talk about anybody (and I mean anybody) to the right of Nancy Pelosi as if they are subhuman scum.

It’s like the 10 minute hate from 1984-except it goes on all day, and it is impossible to get away from it. Quite frankly it is so ubiquitous and in-your-face that it is starting to scare me a little.

These are the people who were singing today, and it was so predictable.

I’m sure if Vegas took bets on Inaugration Day like they do for the Super Bowl, a proposition bet on this type of behavior occuring would have been taken off the board a long time ago.

If more people in the rest of the country realized how bad it is here in the Northeast, they would understand how much you are on the money ClassicCon. We need a thousand more Dennis Millers.

So basically that crowd was the mirror image of 95% of the posters on Hot Air who would boo Obama because both groups are viscious political fanatics who refuse to concede any merit or decency in their opponents.

alex342 on January 21, 2009 at 2:04 AM

I found this site mildly amusing for a while but the invective here is as depressing as those ignorant pigs booing President Bush. As such, I think I won’t visit again.

Katrina

President Obama will keep the broken promises made by President Bush to rebuild New Orleans and the Gulf Coast. He and Vice President Biden will take steps to ensure that the federal government will never again allow such catastrophic failures in emergency planning and response to occur.

President Obama swiftly responded to Hurricane Katrina. Citing the Bush Administration’s “unconscionable ineptitude” in responding to Hurricane Katrina, then-Senator Obama introduced legislation requiring disaster planners to take into account the specific needs of low-income hurricane victims. Obama visited thousands of Hurricane survivors in the Houston Convention Center and later took three more trips to the region. He worked with members of the Congressional Black Caucus to introduce legislation to address the immediate income, employment, business, and housing needs of Gulf Coast communities.

President Barack Obama will partner with the people of the Gulf Coast to rebuild now, stronger than ever.

As of noon Tuesday the http://www.whitehouse.gov site changed to the Obama administration’s version. This was on Obama’s Agenda Other Topics page.

Let’s face facts. Community organizers use rabble rousing techniques to coalesce a movement. Get used to a coarser type of government under Obama. Oh yeah – they are asking people to submit thier emai addresses so that the White House can keep them informed about topics of interest. Sure sounds like they plan on running a political operation out of the West Wing.
