Inaugural benediction: Pray that “white will embrace what is right”
posted at 1:55 pm on January 20, 2009 by Allahpundit
Didn’t whites just do that by electing Jesus Christ president?
Welcome to the post-racial age. Exit question: Hey, that Rick Warren’s pretty controversial, huh?

Dude, I am a bundle of contradictions. I could nap while riding a rollercoaster. I read Camus while listening to Metallica. Voting for McCain does not preclude me for calling for his immediate ouster.
The Race Card on January 20, 2009 at 4:22 PM
But they don’t call him Hussein because of his color. If he were a white leftist with the same middle name they’d be doing the same thing.
I can’t speak for everyone’s intentions, but if people don’t want to be labeled racists, they should stop acting like them. Addressing Obama as “Hussein” makes them sound like a bunch of racists. Obama is an American Christian, and harping on his middle name serves no purpose other than making reference to his ethnic background.
The “Magic Negro” is actually from an article, written by a black leftist discussing why Obama is considered so acceptable to white people. The article itself is inherently racist but is accepted as intellectual analysis. But when somebody puts the text to music and satirizes it to point out the hypocrisy of it… they’re racist?
Skywise on January 20, 2009 at 2:10 PM
I’m referring to Chip Saltsman, who is an idiot, and who – alog with Katon Dawson – has given the race for RNC Chair a hefty dose of racial politics that it didn’t need.
Big S on January 20, 2009 at 2:27 PM
Do me a favor and compose a lengthy response on how much you loathe Rev. Wright’s overt racism towards whites and how that diminishes race relations. Then I’ll listen to your sanctimoniousness.
As for “Hussein”, I didn’t hear it beeped out like a vulgarity at the inauguration today, did I? If he has a problem with his name, he can always change it.

I did not say I disagreed, I just found the irony too good to keep to myself. In fact, if you’re going to get everyone ousted, I’d be glad to help… McCain especially.

Well said. The Great Society programs did much to destroy families and the dignity of fathers as primary wage earners/masculine role models for their sons.
Regardless of what kind of school a student attends–public, private, charter– parents who are engaged in their children’s schooling set the tone for achieving children and their eventual success. Those parents rightfully demand that the schools provide a solid education.
Now a retired teacher in reflecting over my career, I had seen children from all kinds of economic backgrounds succeed in school and later in their careers. Those that succeeded had parents who were involved in their children’s education.
Half of opportunity is created by showing up every day, whether at school or at work.

StatenItaly08 on January 20, 2009 at 4:25 PM
Okay, let me make this easier for you.
What explains the inequality of outcome among Nobel science awards – just to pick a very specific item? Is that due to “initial conditions” for Asians, who have not won anything near their percentages? Is it cheating by Jews, who have won far more than their percentage?
Whether you write it off to biology or culture, let me know how you view this “clearly unfair” situation, that serves as evidence (by your reasoning) of the poor and unfair “initial conditions” for Asians.
progressoverpeace on January 20, 2009 at 4:27 PM
I’m not sure I see the contradiction in that one. Metallica always seemed a little nihilistic to me. Camus was more existentialist, but that’s not a huge difference.
Esthier on January 20, 2009 at 4:28 PM
More like “Don’t blame us alone, everyone was doing it.” Send the first reparations bill back to Africa first.
Also, a lot of white (and black) people died to stop that hideous practice, so give credit where it’s due along with blame.
Also, I’ curious, how much money/time/effort is spent by groups like the Rainbow Coalition and the NAACP on stopping slavery of ALL races across the world this very day? Or is more money made by whining about past abuses that didn’t happen to them.
I’m Irish, and my “kind” were discriminated against in the country some time ago. Do I have any justification to walk around with a chip on my shoulder, and if so, for how long?

What I don’t understand about all this and since the big O is such a Lincoln fan, all these slaves were offered the chance to return to Africa but none wanted to go why?. Then blame every white person for their failures. I think what they want, they can never achieve they want to be white, ie: Micheal Jackson, interracial marriage, they hate themselves more than anyone else and it just keeps festering, just an old f**t’s assessment.

Name two colleges (publicly funded) that openly discriminate (“codified” meaning written) against blacks (or minorities).
More than a few use Affirmative Action as a plus factor for blacks and Latinos, but not for whites and Asians. One’s plus is another’s minus.
Name the colleges. Provide websites. Until then, check yourself and your dated rhetoric.
Income? Did I miss all of the talented black men on Sunday football making a whole hell of a lot more money than I make as an attorney? Do I want their cash? NO! Do I want them to not demand my cash for payments on sins long past I didn’t commit? Yes!
(By the way, I think that most football and basketball teams are not racially-representative of their surrounding communities. Whatever shall we do about that?)

Just what is right for us whites to be doing? If electing a supposedly (1/16) black man to the highest office in the world isn’t breaking down barriers of racism and, by black supremacist doctrine, doing what’s right, what the (censored) is? This guy makes me sick. He is so blinded by racist hate that he can’t see the forest for the trees.

Frankly, I’m sick to death of this racial victimology and I wish to hell the aggrieved and put-upon losers who cling to this garbage would finally grow up and realize that their future is in their hands, not mine. The next race-baiting poverty pimp who tries to saddle me with this crap will be getting a defiantly raised middle finger and a loud & clear F U!
We ended up with this lowlife socialist scumsucker in the white house because too many (mostly white) voters bought into the whole white guilt mentality and the big-eared freak rode that wave all the way to the presidency. Wouldn a prayer with that tone justify calling the reverend the “N” word? I don’t use the word, but I’ve seen the reaction from people who voted for him who happen to be white. It isn’t pretty and even though I don’t see any serious regret (YET), it has given people pause for concern that all white people were lumped in as one monolithic group.

That’s what I liked about it too. Plus, the walls were concrete which meant we got no complaints from the neighbors. Still, at $1500, it was a little ridiculous by DFW standards. Then again, my friends are the same kind of people going bankrupt today.
You weren’t kidding when you said “industry heavies”. I’m glad to hear they’re coming back up. It’s horrible when something like that tears apart a good band. The one I linked you to broke up because of the singer’s ego. He’s since scaled back on that, but I don’t see them reuniting.

Honestly, what do you think??
I don’t think that statement needs explaining, but OK- In MY opinion, the statement by the boys is perfectly within reason & NOT ‘racist’ like the history teacher explained.
A teacher has no business punishing a student for saying something like that. There are a lot of other serious reasons for punishing a student, but them exercising their right to speak their opinion, without foul language, even if it was sarcastic, is no crime.
BTW-our little rural school is far from being PC, but the boys showed restraint bcs normally they might have said nigger instead of black. One of the boys in question I know would have been thinking that word, but he didn’t say it.

What I found interesting is the look on Obama’s face when the Rev. said the “White will embrace what’s right” remark. It’s at about :29 seconds on the clip. He went from the look of “this little Rhyming thing is cute-ish” smile to “OMG WTF did he just say? I can’t change my expression too much because the camera is on me…..” half smile……… Kinda nice to see him look VERY uncomfortable over that one-sided prayer as he should have the whole time.

Hey, here’s an idea! Why don’t we whiteys all graciously give up our homes, properties and everything we’ve worked hard for, and hand the country (the whole shebang) over to the minorities. Then they can just finish the country off, but quicker.
I don’t know where we’ll go specifically, but we can figure something out. Global warming is melting the north pole, maybe we can take that over.
You know… I was never, ever a racist person. But since 911, and since the new onslaught of Jackson/Sharpton/Obama racebaiting, I am quickly becoming a different person in recent months.

Income is usually related to education and always related to hard work. Everyone in this country has got the opportunity to get an education. The actual inequalities are directly related to the rising rate of single parent families. Poverty, crime, and school drop-out are very close, percentage wise, between black and whites when single parent families are part of the equation. We can thank LBJ and his misguided great-society programs, for much of the problem. It seems to have hurt more than it helped.

My 21-year old son is another. He was a rabid Democratic Rage Against the System type who got a job as a checker at Albertsons in Tucson, Arizona. He noticed that there were three types of food stamps, two of which let you buy alcohol and smokes if you gamed the system right. His epiphany came when a woman in his line bought some food, took the change, bought the bottle in a separate purchase, and walked out, leaving the food she’d just bought on the checkout stand.
He railed to me about this in a phone conversation and my response was “Welcome to the Republican Party!”. He reregistered a few weeks later.

supply-side economics, tax breaks for the wealthy, lack of
nationalized health care, take your pick…
Noneya on January 20, 2009 at 4:32 PM
When lefty’s try using “supply side economics” and “tax
breaks for the wealthy” as some sort of zinger, it only
shows their historical and economic ignorance. First of,
the “rich” as you all them pay a greater dollar amount to
the federal government than the bottom 90%.
http://www.taxfoundation.org/news/show/22652.html
Second, these are the people who create the jobs, if you
over tax them they don’t have the money to hire new
employees or increase salaries for higher performing
employees. Most importantly though, you are not entitled
to the fruits of anyone elses labor, or wealth. Everytime
you cut taxes unemployment goes down and federal tax
receipts go up. If you don’t believe me, please show some
statistics comparing economic output and unemployment
rates of the FDR, LBJ and Carter years to the Reagan
years. Also, please give me an example of how trickle-up
economics works, or more precisely, who has ever gotten
wealthy off a government program besides someone working
in government.
Clinton only passed welfare reform because the
Republicans took back the House and Senate, once they got
off the dole, they went back to work and increased their
earnings. And contrary to popular perception, nationalized health care is not free. Your side is always talking about choice, except when someone wants to choose where their children go to school, save for their own retirement, or pick their own doctor.
