Because I am older and a lot of posters have similar names I keep a list of folks who are constantly critical of conservatives so I won’t get them confused. Guess who’s name is on the list. I think this new “a real conservative would (fill in the blank)” is just a new ploy.

I know. That comment was because of the debate in an earlier thread, about the Ziegler interview. I’d earlier stated I didn’t think she was going to “whine,” but would use the opportunity to talk about energy, etc.

When I first saw this post, I wasn’t where I could watch it and scanned the comments. Then watched it later, and continue to be impressed. Glad I voted for her- Mac, not so much.

chunder, I’ve never heard you do anything but blindly and embarrassingly praise Palin. You’re not a conservative. You’re a fundamentalist nitwit.

Did she whine about the media/unfairness? Doesn’t sound like it from comments here.

She never “whined” about media treatment; she complained that her children should be off limits, which goes without saying.

Driving down the street today, I happened to notice one of my neighbors had re-installed his McCain/Palin yard sign today, I guess in protest. The amusing part was that the McCain part of the sign had been painted over so the sign simply read “Palin.” Hee!

I hear you to a certain extent Cindy, but I think Palin continuing to have a prominent role in the GOP and the conservative movement would be disastrous. I’m in a distinct minority in a hard right/socially conservative site such as this one, but so be it. Hopefully, she’ll stay in Alaska and continue to have a minimal impact on the rest of the country.

May I respectfully suggest that unless you really really like to argue, to no effect I might add, that you hide and watch. Conservatives aren’t stupid, they are not sheep and after this horrible election they are not going to attach themselves to someone who isn’t capable of supporting conservative values. That may or may not be Gov. Palin, who has some growing to do and to debase her when she is a threat to no one seems counter productive, to say the least. And a tad petty I might add.

Why is it so important for you to define conservatism and promote dislike of Gov. Palin? She’s not running for an office and unless you live in Alaska, I doubt anything she does impacts you.

Baloney, you telling me she didn’t direct for funding from the stimulus package to be directed toward build the road infrastructure for her pipeline? You know better then that.

“Her” pipeline is actually a joint project between an oil company, a private pipeline company, the Canadian Government, and the Alaska State Government. It is designed to connect gas fields off the Alaskan North Shore to the existing Trans-Canada pipeline. The negotiations were complete long before there was any talk of an “infrastructure stimulus plan”, so it can reasonably be assumed that all needed public and private funding had been secured prior to signing the contract.

Besides, Sarah Palin couldn’t divert any “stimulus” money for “infrastructure” in Canada, could she? Wouldn’t that need approval from the Canadian government?
