To the bitter end: Bush-haters throw shoes at effigy in D.C.
posted at 9:02 pm on January 19, 2009 by Allahpundit
One last ejaculation of dissent before everyone falls into line tomorrow morning. Consider it a happy omen for Obama finding common ground with Iran; after all, they do this over there, too.
I’m glad the little kid is participating enthusiastically. Somehow, it wouldn’t feel right without him.

You think this is the last ejaculation? 100 bucks says there will be an assassination attempt on at least one member of the Bush administration within a year.

I hate to say this…I don’t think it ends tomorrow at all. I think for most of these deranged haters, it’s a permanent life-long illness…they’ll be doing the same thing 25 years from now…BSD is now a permanent part of their character.

Just effin pathetic. Really. It is a sad state of affairs, and I’ll bet most of these idiots have a college degree..which shows you how worthless a degree is these days in terms of inculcating civility.
The key to a successful political career, it seems, is to be an empty suit who sounds great. Whattya know, just like a college degree — a diploma with no substance.

The inmates have truly taken over the asylum that used to be known as our nation’s capital.

Ok, let’s get our shoes ready for Obama since it seems now throwing shoes at our current leader is in vogue. Maybe replace skeets with those new commemorative plates?

This act is these people’s main contribution to society – throwing shoes at a balloon. For doing nothing, they will soon be getting government checks on the backs of people who actually produce goods and services of value.
whitetop on January 19, 2009 at 9:20 PM
These people should be glad they live in a country where you don’t have to ask for asylum if you throw shoes! Or do they…can you imagine what would happen if they threw shoes at an effigy of the O? Deportation would be kind.
Christian Conservative on January 19, 2009 at 9:21 PM

I used to think that the insanity they displayed to Reagan was the high water mark to crazy. Nope.
Be prepared to wait a very, very, very long time.
Correct. And if their hatred of Bush starts to dissipate, they’ll simply transfer the object of their insanity to some other person. Such as Sarah Palin.

Those who are saying “it’s not over” are so right.
As for the people in this video… What a bunch of pathetic morons. I also have to wonder if Muslims around the world appreciate their beliefs being mocked like this, for political gain. I guarantee 99% of these idiots don’t realize that throwing the shoe was a uniquely “Muslim” thing to do, based on their traditions and beliefs. I’m certain they all just think the guy grabbed the closest thing to him to throw.
RightWinged on January 19, 2009 at 9:27 PM
Whatever do you mean? Bush-hatred is perfectly normal. Not like that crazy Obama-hatred, which is clearly deranged.

Sadly, the election and confirmation of Obarfy is going to mean the demise of another fabled group similar to the shoe-throwers.
Yes, I’m talking about the giant paper-mache head manufacturers, those brave souls who weathered Rovian Stormtroopers™ and Cheney Hurricanes to provide the giant heads which were such an integral part of the leftist anti-everything marches.
I’m taking up a collection for them. Won’t you please help? Do it for the 25-55 year old children who comprise this soon to be unemployed demographic.

Class shows, and the lack of class shows even more clearly.
Labeling this the “final ejaculation” of BDS is only wrong in saying “final”. Pelosi and Congress are not ready to let go yet, so further ejaculations are likely. It certainly is an ejaculation by very immature people into the weeds, purposeless, egocentric to the point of idiocy and self-induced in an illegitimate fantasy.
Had GWB showed up, punctured the balloon and looked them in eye, I doubt any of these brave souls would have done anything. But it’s play-pen time, the children do screw off and act out.
Hope that kid learned something watching adults fall to his level.

I like it!
I was present for Ronald Reagan’s first inaugural. It was an experience of a lifetime and I’m happy that I was there for it.
The filthy Chicago bastard’s inaugural has become such a circus that it isn’t really about the change of power. The man isn’t even really black in the sense that he comes from the ranks of the real African-American experience. Barak Obama is as much of an African-American as Teresa Heinz Kerry. Yet, the left and much of the right is using the event to pat themselves on the back and pretend that there is no more racism.

sherry on January 19, 2009 at 9:49 PM
That’s a cultural thing. Unless Obama ushers in a Islamic theocracy (jury is still out), the left will simply silence the opposition through measures like the “Fairness Doctrine.” By 2013, the evil empire will have quashed all dissent and the residents of DC will be forced out on the streets to hail the unanimous re-election of President-for-life Obama.
highhopes on January 19, 2009 at 9:54 PM
Well, THAT’s mature. I’m shore glad that yer around to show us here rednecks how we will be treated.
Pop quiz, hotshot: I wear an Israeli Air Force hoodie on a pretty regular basis. Planning on throwing something at me there???
mjk on January 19, 2009 at 9:56 PM
Let’s also remember that an American President has not really arrived until burned in effigy in various rat holes around the word (including some of the places where Obama’s kin reside). The litmus test for Obama’s leadership will come if and when he is such an appeaser that those effigies do not follow.
Put another way, if an American President is popular in Yemen, then he/she is a traitor to this nation.
highhopes on January 19, 2009 at 9:57 PM
I’m bored with the BDS. It’s immature and childish.
We are all allowed to believe whatever the h*ll we want to believe. That’s the way it goes.
Just because I see a set of circumstances in a different way than someone else does not make me stupid or ill-educated.
It’s too damn bad that there are people who think the opposite.

I find it very difficult not to hate these people. And I think they are only going to get worse. I see more and more Obama stickers on cars, more than before the election and brand new looking ones. Some are obviously recent, as they say things like Yes we did! and crap like that. They are very in your face. And he was going to UNITE us…His supporters have no desire for unity, only complete domination. Yes, very difficult not to hate them.

In what other inaugeration festivities was there a representation of the outgoing President that people could throw stuff at. Has society slipped this much in liberaland. I guess this is just the first step in our de-evolution to mud houses and starving on “organic” (1. noting or pertaining to a class of chemical compounds that formerly comprised only those existing in or derived from plants or animals, but that now includes all other compounds of carbon.
2. characteristic of, pertaining to, or derived from living organisms: organic remains found in rocks.) foods

I don’t love or loath Bush. I Sat down with the Head of the department of history today to discuss some issues with graduation, and had to listen to him about Bush. Nice guy, but does he really have to interject politics into a discussion about classes?
This is what he said with a smug grin on his face and brow furrowed in deep thought about presidents, “Bush will be rated a failure.”. Me, “Well, don’t you normally give 20 years or so to really pass judgment after seeing all the documents and materials?”. Him, “All my predictions have been right on the nose during his terms, so not really.”. Me, “Most people thought Truman to be an utter failure, but now history looks at him in a greater light.”. That is when the conversation ended-historical discourse and thought is dead.

My company is setting up TV viewing areas in the cafeteria so that employees can view the inauguration festivities, and all managers were notified that anyone so inclined must be given time away from their station, cubicle, ETC., to attend. I wouldn’t mind so much except for the fact that when I queried some of the old-timers, they do not remember this being offered for the inaugurations of Bush 43, Clinton, or Bush 41…

President Bush did his best to

protect its people
Kill and disrupt the mass murdering islamo nazis
Democrats now want to
Throw Bush in Jail
Kill cheney
Arrest every cia officer doing their jobs
put them all in guantanimo
And let the Islamic nazis and drug dealing illegal mexicans into the USA to become the

My god these people are really going to destroy our country
I am getting ready

I hate to say this but 6 months ago

Dems would win (because of republican theft gone rampant)
Dems would arrest Bush and put him in jail
Pelozi would be leading the charge
And then the best part.

will invite both
Abina wack job and osama bin laden to be their new
model citizens in the usa
Courtesty of

Pelozi
Obama the gag messiah
and the rest of the vile vermin that now infests washington dc..
The republicans have only themselves to blame
for this fiasco.. for they didnt uphold the laws either.
No they are all to blame and the time is comming for a pitchfork reconing

I wouldn’t throw shoes at his effigy, but he’s far and away the worst President I voted for. If the GOP wants to keep losing like it did in 2006 and 2008 they’ll continue pretending he was a Republican.
The man pushed to have $150,000,000,000 redistributed to lower and middle income taxpayers in 2008 via direct stimulus checks, used strong arm tactics to get the TARP and UAW bailouts passed (against overwhelming opposition from the people), gave Hank Paulson free reign to nationalize half our freaking banking industry… he handed a socialist the reigns to a country that’s already well on it’s way to being socialist. Good riddance to him.

Nobody has shot Bush(out of any degree of sanity), despite the “BDS” you talk about. Reagan still has that high water mark. The most we get from this Bush is shoe-dodging.
What’s wrong with a bit of catharsis if it means they are less motivated to attract the Secret Service? She releases some steam, she goes on calmly and she lessens herself as a threat against Bush.
She may already be in a position that makes your suggestion nigh-impossible.
