Bush did the right thing in going into Iraq and the wrong things in the first couple of years of occupation (the wrong thing was not firing Rumsfeld sooner). The surge was definitely the right thing, but at that point his presidency was starting to unravel, leaving Iran on its own. That is a mess we will all come to regret and unfortunately Obama’s instincts will be to further kick the can down the road.

It made me wonder when the estate of Spike Jones would sue Spike Lee. Sadly, it never happened.

The most powerful man in the infant Nation relenquishes that power of his own volition.

6. April 30, 1789: Washington becomes first President of The United States of America under The Constitution.

Had a lesser man been given such power, so early in the history of this Nation, I fear none of us would be having this conversation today.

7. March 4, 1797: Washington leaves the office of the Presidency.

For the second time in his life, George Washington, the most powerful man in the Nation, relenquish that power AGAIN of his own volition. If anyone wants to dispute the importance of these days and this man’s actions, I have but two words that serve as the supreme example of what happened when such a descision lay in the hands of a lesser man: Napoleon Bonaparte.

8. July 3, 1863: Lee Defeated at Gettysburg.

Lee wins at Gettysburg, thousand bucks says none of us would ever have heard of Spike Lee, let alone Obama.

9. April 9, 1865: Lee’s Surrender at Appomattox Courthouse.

The greatest National Tragedy in Our history ends.

10. June, 4, 1942: First Day of The Battle of Midway.

Four irreplacable Japanese Fleet Carriers destroyed, taking the equally irreplacable cream of the Imperial Navy’s naval aviators with them.

Put it this way: We lose at Midway, Yorktown, Enterprise and Hornet are sunk and the Japanese carriers survive, the war gets longer.

The Japanese invade and take Hawaii from Midway, the war lasts even longer.

The Japanese use Hawaii as the staging area for a massive attack against the Panama Canal, and they succeed in closing only ONE terminus…The further out one extrapolates
from a counterfactual, the less clear the outcomes become, but one thing is certain: the longest, bloodiest war in American history.

That’s just ten off the top of my head.

I am so sick of all this ludicrous Obama worship. Obama was an unaccomplished state legislator, a failed Congressional candidate, and an unaccomplished half-term junior U.S. Senator, before winning the presidency because of his skin color and celebrity status. When the man has actually accomplished something of note for this country — other than winning elections — they can let me know. At that point, I’ll be happy to reassess his merits. I got a text today from a friend of mine equating the never-ending Obamagasm-like coverage to Princess Di’s death – over the top, and just plain ridiculous. I give President Present six months before the long knives come out, once the MSM realizes they’ve been duped.

To show my historical reverence, I’m buying a pistol tomorrow and as much ammo as the shop has.

Spike Lee: Tomorrow’s the most important day in American history

Tomorrow will be one of the blackest days in American history.
And if anyone takes that as racist, it’s their problem.
The Founding Fathers didn’t mean for a committed Leftist who hates this country and its military and its white citizens to assume the mantle of leading this great republic, regardless of his skin color.

I do think the Obama presidency will be remembered…not in a good way.

Tell me, Spike Lee…I thought we were *supposed* to be color blind vis a vis such things…..
