Mom thinks Michelle ma belle is wearing protective body armor. If true, that’s heartbreaking. She should be allowed to enjoy today with no other baggage, other than the sobering reality that her husband has to stop campaigning for office and actually do some hard work.

Pardon my lack of clarity (you must be new year!) – I don’t know of a single thing Obama has ever said that I agree with, and I will vocally oppose his every leftist policy.

But I’ll support the moves he makes that are correct, and when he is attacked by our enemies, I will stand beside him. He is my President.

This is the difference between conservatives and the leftists who go to Europe and Africa and insult our country and our President. If you wish to be like them, I will be your enemy.

I didn’t vote for him. I don’t like him, I don’t like where or how he intends to lead the U.S., and I don’t trust him to keep us safe. But he is my president.

I hope he fails…the sooner the better.

OK. It’s 8:20am on Inauguration Day. The President that I voted for twice in victory and terrorism and war is leaving office after being assaulted virtually non-stop for 8 years by a partisan press and a hateful left. But he’s done.

I will have a new President in two hours. I don’t like him, and I didn’t support him, and I will almost certainly vote for his opponent in 4 years. But he’s going to be my President. And he’s says he’s “a black guy”, which seems to make every one of my black friends very, very happy.

And that makes me happy. So be it. Today is inauguration day, and that’s all I have to say about that.

Although I understand your point. I almost wonder if we’ll all be singing the same tune when:

-Gitmo closes, and Obama frees all the terrorists
-The economy gets even worse, and you’re unemployed for a year or more
-An ammo ban occurs, and reduces every law abiding gun owner to carrying a little peashooter .22
-Drilling bans, oil bans, and all those other “green initiatives” take place, and gas shoots up past $4.50/gallon
-Taxes shoots up for EVERYONE in an effort to control the national debt that stems from the lovely $825,000,000,000 stimulus (I added all of the zeros so that everyone can visualize how much money that really is).

I know you didn’t vote for him. I know you probably don’t agree with his policy either. The fact still remains that we’re (we being conservatives) all a little too quick to inherit this factor of trust from a man that hasn’t proven that he’s trustworthy, or even a believer/defender of capitalism.

A victory for the hysterical Oprah Winfrey, the mad racist preacher Jeremiah Wright, the mainstream media who abandoned any sense of objectivity long ago, Europeans who despise America largely because they depend on her, comics who claim to be dangerous and fearless but would not dare attack genuinely powerful special interest groups. A victory for Obama-worshippers everywhere. A victory for the cult of the cult. A man who has done little with his life but has written about his achievements as if he had found the cure for cancer in between winning a marathon and building a nuclear reactor with his teeth. Victory for style over substance, hyperbole over history, rabble-raising over reality.

A victory for Hollywood , the most dysfunctional community in the world. Victory for Streisand, Spielberg, Soros and Sarandon. Victory for those who prefer welfare to will and interference to independence. For those who settle for group think and herd mentality rather than those who fight for individual initiative and the right to be out of step with meager political fashion.

Victory for a man who is no friend of freedom. He and his people have already stated that media has to be controlled so as to be balanced, without realizing the extraordinary irony within that statement. Like most liberal zealots, the Obama worshippers constantly speak of Fox and Limbaugh, when the vast bulk of television stations and newspapers are drastically liberal and anti-conservative. Senior Democrat Chuck Schumer said that just as pornography should be censored, so should talk radio. In other words, one of the few free and open means of popular expression may well be cornered and beaten by bullies who even in triumph cannot tolerate any criticism and opposition. A victory for those who believe the state is better qualified to raise children than the family, for those who prefer teachers’ unions to teaching and for those who are naively convinced that if the West is sufficiently weak towards its enemies, war and terror will dissolve as quickly as the tears on the face of a leftist celebrity. A victory for social democracy even after most of Europe has come to the painful conclusion that social democracy leads to mediocrity, failure, unemployment, inflation, higher taxes and economic stagnation. A victory for intrusive lawyers, banal sentimentalists, social extremists and urban snobs.
