The answer to your question, Dollayo, is No. Our God says He is a jealous God, we are to have no others before Him. He told the prophet Isaiah there are no other gods besides Him, and He challenged the other gods to make themselves known and they did not. We are not to acknowledge or pray to any other gods at any time.
Robinson is engaging in heresy. But let’s not burn him at the stake. We are obliged to pray for him to recognize he is a sinner and turn to the One True God, not some god of his many understandings.

I thought all Christian faiths share a belief in only one God and that no others exist. When he says “every religion’s God judges us” does he mean one God judges all religions or is he saying each religion has its own God? If this guy is a bishop doesn’t that mean he is Catholic? I am an agnostic who has never studied any religion so I was just asking.

Answer to your first question: unequivocal NO.

“You shall have no other gods before me”

“Love the Lord with all your heart, with all your soul, and all your mind”

“I am the way, the truth and the life, no man comes to the Father but through me”

“Search the scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life. And those [are the scriptures] that speak of Me”

The Bible is quite explicit that there is only one God, the God revealed in the scriptures. Worshiping any other “god” is blasphemous and no one who does so will have eternal life.

Ok, I don’t know anything about religion but I would like to ask a question of those who do. This is promising. I’m guessing the Obama people felt pressure from everyday Americans who were offended by this man’s controversial “prayer,” so they moved him to the pre-show. Gene Robinson was not praying to the God of the Bible no matter what he says. He’s shaped a god to suite his homosexual sin. “My prayer” is that he repents of his sin and trust in the Lord Jesus before he no longer has the opportunity. Amen amen amen.

One has to love how Obama’s crew milked every penny they could out of this — by selling the show in segments. The “pre-show” was sold separately from the “show” — and possibly the “show” was sold in segments too [a segment being the distance between commercial breaks?].

It’s unclear from the article. Did HBO buy the “pre-show” and flub it? Or did they not buy it at all, and therefore neither record nor broadcast it?
