Barack Obama has kinda-sorta deftly re-arranged the goalposts (translation: he lied) on one of his signature campaign promises: closing that hotbed of virulent American torture, Gitmo….

Obama lies as easily as most people breathe. I suspect his true agenda has yet to be fully revealed.

We really need to make sure to remind the Left about all his campaign promises versus his reality. Given the public dislike of GITMO any winning candidate would have tried to close it by the end of their first term – didn’t the O say this action would be dealt with on day one of his term?

Congress will never take responsibility for anything – ever. And Obama has given us no reason whatsoever that he’s going to start now. He’s been careful to select as many incompetent Cabinet members as he can to act as sacrificial lambs.

Assuming there is a major threat to American stability, of course it’s safe to assume that a great many atrocities will be comitted within that utter vacuum of accountability. But, like Pontius Pilate, all that will ever matter to liberals is that their own hands are clean. The world around them can quite literally go to Hell, and the worse it gets the more pure they’ll feel.

What he will say is, my first 4 years was straightening out all the problems…now the next 4 years is where I will implement my programs I promised 4 years ago…so if you loved me 4 years ago, you will really be impressed this next term because I will do what I promised I would do 4 years ago…and they will buy it.

I said it before, he’s the “I’m not really the President, I just play one on TV” POTUS. When he faces something that’s not “fun” (like, anything besides campaigning and having his follows swoon over him), he backpedals and “um-uh-um”s.

This isn’t a promise, it’s a threat. If Obama loses in 2012, he’ll issue and end-of-term Executive Order that the next president will have to deal with.

And if Obama wins in 2012, then nothing he says today is going to matter.

Better yet, prepare yourself to join the resistance.

There is a lack of concerted effort to deny the DFL seemingly anything, and this lack will see our society irrevocably altered for the worse soon enough. Forget what our children will be dealing with, this is going to be our fight too.
