To hell with that double talkin Obama and pi$$ on Springsteen and the pig he rode in on.

Bruce Springsteen – seer, intellect, and national treasure.

My favourite limousine liberal after Barabara.

Bless them both.

Ares on January 16, 2009 at 9:51 PM

“His election was an incredible moment for someone who seemed to carry… enormous parts of American history with him. Someone who can reckon with the past, who can live with the past in the present, and move towards the future – that’s fabulous,” he told Observer Music Monthly, in an article to be published on Sunday.

Gobbledygook. “Blinded By the Light” makes more sense.

“If you look at my statements throughout the campaign… I always thought that he was a good guy.”

Good grief, has this guy ever heard of videotape? We know what you said.

cs89 on January 16, 2009 at 9:57 PM

This is strictly poll driven. He gives a damning with faint praise (because the large majority of people think Bush is a good guy)…then some pieces to the Left, while furrowing his brow to look like he is deeply thinking about this.

Clinton did the same thing. The only problem is that the Left today has spent 8 years thinking they got cheated in 2000.

The “professional” Dem Pols did a great job in creating a rabble that want revenge big time. Classic Dem politics.

Describing President Bush’s period in power as a “nightmare” for most Americans, the songwriter said: “We had a historically blind administration who didn’t take consideration of the past; thousands of thousands of people died, lives were ruined and terrible, terrible things occurred because there was no sense of real history, no sense that the past is living and real.”

What a d*ck.

When I lived in Jersey, South Jersey, most people refered to Springstine as scratch throat, or ♪♫bruce♪♫ (in a swishy way), or boss more like boring.

I think I may have enjoyed maybe one song, maybe two!
Never went to any of his concerts nor bought any of his albums.

But he is from North Jersey and those people are a little strange anyway. I mean, the Stone Pony…. what a dive.

Kini on January 16, 2009 at 10:10 PM

I had a job in the 70’s that I was perked with concert tickets. I saw several Boss concerts. BTW – nothing compared to a good engineering job at the studio. Let me draw a comparison to Black Sabbath concerts; there were more people incorrectly mouthing the words, smoking pot, puking, losing shirts, urinating freely, and happily enjoying the show in direct fire of the amps at … Bruce Springsteen concerts.

Clinton did not leave the Capitol via helicopter after the inauguration of Bush due to weather. His motorcade went to Andrews Air Force Base, where he and his family left on the plane used as Air Force One for New York. It is a standard courtesy for the outgoing president to fly home after he leaves office on that plane. You will likely see President and Mrs. Bush do the same: Leave the Capitol via helicopter, then take the 747 to Texas.

Springsteen is a ‘sexual intellectual’ AKA F-ing know it all.

While people are entitled to their opinions, it amazes me how we give an inordinate amount of air time and credence to entertainers.

The left will trash the experience of Gov Palin but they will drool and lick up springsteen’s spittle.

Leftists/commies just don’t understand that we are at war with an enemy that has been trying to destry us since 700 AD.

I’d love to see someone get Springsteen into an interview and start delving into exactly what he knows It should take about 30 seconds to utterly destroy him.

This also reminds me of when Sean Penn (i beleive) went to new orleans to show how things should be handled. The moron launched his boat…. However, he neglected the little detail of putting the plug in. Yep, he’s telling GWB how to run the country and he can’t even launch a freaking skiff.

ObaMcCarthy is one arrogant negro. And I say that with complete confidence since Oslima’s only accomplishment has been to be born black, AND he constantly reminds us of that fact, I can simply praise or ridicule him by the very same standard.

He is absolutely the most arrogant, double-talking black skinned person I have ever had the misfortune of being exposed to. Dr. Martin Luther King is turning in his grave to see the travesty that blacks like Oslime-a have made of the civil rights movement.

csdeven on January 17, 2009 at 12:26 AM

To many of Springsteens lyrics portray Americans as losers, especially ordinary people. Victims of jobs or victims of no jobs or mean bosses. But then that is the weakness of all rock and roll. From then till now the lyrics have been immature, uninformed and simply stupid. A lot of the classics will always shine. For the music, not the lyrical message.

Funny how these leftist a$$holes never mention that it was their own LBJ who got us into losing Vietnam (after the whole Gulf of Tonkin resolution thingy, which seems to be nothing more than a pass to allow Dem congressmen to claim they didn’t start the war); their own Carter who allowed the middle east to disintegrate into the mess it is today; and their own Clinton who was busy chasing skirts while AQ and Iran waged covert war against us.

You want oppression, Boss? Try Lincoln’s suspension of habeus corpus and jailing politicians from Maryland who were sympathetic to the Confederacy. Did W do any such thing?

Bruce is right, the country is suffering from the work of radicals in the government, and also in the press, otherwise known as Barney Frank, Nancy Peelousi, Harry Reid, the Congressional Black Caucus, Sen. Rockefeller, Sen. Kerry, Franklin Raines, all democrats, brought the financial security of this country to its knees and did their best to do the same with our national security, politicizing intelligence doing their best to destroy the power, authority and honor of the Office of the President, and giving aid and comfort to the enemies of the USA. Now all of a sudden, you’re patriotic. Well we have long memories and you and your libtards do not get a blank slate.

What is this need for justice that Obama keeps righteously referring to? Now, if he talking about bringing most of his Chicago political cronies and many of his fellow Democrats to justice, I would agree.

If he is still grievance-mongering on the basis of race, then he has a very blinded understanding of justice. He is talking about social engineering that gives equality of outcome regardless of talent or effort. That is not justice, however.

Affirmative action legislation is one of the biggest injustices in our history. Both Obama and his wife appear to be beneficiaries of affirmative action, yet they still seem not to be satisfied.

benny:

Funny how you picked the one post that used the word negro.

I will say this, I never liked Springsteen. Politics aside, I just never could understand why anyone would think he had talent. As for the Dixie Chicks, they should have known their audience.

Tell me, if some country singer went to a foreign country and told the audience that the fact that Obama was president made her ashamed of her country…would you think that was tacky, stupid, out of place? Probably.

But there is that double standard at work here and as usual your side of the aisle operates in a world where everyone else is at fault.

So, according to Bruce, the Democrats had nothing to do with the war, the financial sector meltdown or anything else. That is stupid. That is why people think Bruce is a moron, he is.

Democrats were pushing for these socalled unregulated loans back when Clinton was president and Democrats voted for the war as well…based on intel, most of which was gathered when a Democrat was president.

The socalled attempts to undermine our democratic system I would assume have something to do with NSA {who can be sure, after all years of drug abuse have taken their toll on Bruce}..at any rate that program will be used by his own Obama and has been upheld by FISA.

The truth is people like Bruce Springsteen have made a ton of money crapping on this country. They can only tolerate America and Americans when one of their guys wins and they can only tolerate their guys if he kisses their butts. I mean really, if Bruce thinks all these people are suffering, he can give away his money to charity to help them and then he can actually live like one of the average Americans he pretends to speak for.

“We’re going through something that we haven’t gone through in my life. Foreign policy, domestic policy – driven to its breaking point. Everything got broken.”

What? I didn’t know Springsteen was in suspended animation during the 60′s & 70′s.

Born to Suck.

That unfettered free market sure did make “The Boss” a wealthy man didn’t it? He sucks, always has.

Do you have some pipeline into my head? Your’e good.

Right now I’m thing The Bouche is from Long Branch – not Hoboken; Monmouth County, North Jersey. Not even close to the working stiffs he pretends to shill for.

Keep writing what I am thinking.

Someone who can reckon with the past, who can live with the past in the present, and move towards the future – that’s fabulous.

What does that even mean? Can anyone help me out here? Does he plan to let his crazy Uncle Jeremiah out of the attic?

I’ll feel better if the dog ever does materialize, but I have a feeling that if Obama wants it, he expects to get it. And if he doesn’t want it, well, that’s that.

They’re narrowed their choices down to a Labradoodle or Portuguese Water Dog. Purely by happenstance a very fine specimen will end up in a shelter, the Obamas will adopt it, and all the world will proclaim how wonderful they are for choosing the orphaned dog instead of going to a breeder.

Sounds like Springsteen is trying to say Obama braved the civil rights era and forgives the evil white man to make the future utopia.

Guess he didn’t hear that Obambi was raised as the white boy “Barry”, went to private schools and ivy league universities and only became a real “black” man recently.

If I sat right down and tried, I could not care any less than I do right now about what Springstein says, does, or thinks. I’ve never been a fan, never understood his popularity, singing for him is a relative term, in fact, I think he’s pretty overrated with a schtick that sells.
Just my 2 cents.

Isn’t that the guy who sounds like he’s drunk with a speech impediment?

Most of these singers have lost their marbles. Ian Anderson from Tull had a great song called Broadsword. It’s basically about a group of men standing stoically to face incoming invaders. One line is “Bless with a hard heart, those who surround me”. IOW, let’s do what has to be done.

Today, old Ian is one of the fashionable anti war crowd.

The other thing is that these people are amazingly pampered. If you ever read the Smoking Gun when they get a hold of the waivers for hotel rooms, it’s unbelievable. It details everything as to what flavor of Doritos and how many bags have to be there. I think it was streisand who demands a virgin toilet seat.

Well, at least springsteen has done some benefits for the troops.

While Stingspreen’s politics suck, ‘The Rising”, released after 9/11 is an extremely good collection of songs. 90% in my opinion are pro-America
