From “Eretz Nehederet,” which is a big enough deal over there to earn cameos from the likes of Ehud Barak (before the war started). It cracked me up but I’m not sure why, given how obvious the jokes are. I think it’s just my reflexive delight at the thought that the Beeb is as much a punchline for its Arab apologism in Israel as it is in the righty blogosphere. Or maybe it’s the pitch-perfect parody of the portly IDF general with bad hair, a meta-satire on the country’s media image.

Why are they laughing when the war’s done so much damage to the peace process? Because: There is no peace process. There’ll never be peace with Hamas, and they know it.
