While Harper excels on the foreign policy front he has been abysmal on the free speech front. You may not know, but Canada has kangaroo courts that prosecute so called hate crimes. We do NOT have freedom of speech and Harper is doing NOTHING to reign in the kangaroo courts.

Alone among the 47-member UN Human Rights Council, Canada voted against a resolution condemning Israel for attacking Hamas in Gaza. A dozen other nations abstained from the motion, which passed 33-1:

What does all this mean? This 33 nation against Israel means something. God said in the last days, Jerusalem would be a burden to the entire world and that all the people of the earth would be gathered together against it.

You are witnessing biblical prophecy being fulfilled! The perplexing anti-semitism we see building in our world is leading us to Armageddon. Armageddon is when all nations march against Israel to destroy it.

“Behold, the day of the LORD cometh … I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle.” Zechariah 14:2-4

This is what all the anti-semitism means. There will be a 7 year tribulation and at the end of that 7 years is Armageddon. Just when it looks hopeless for Israel, Jesus will come in judgment, destroying all nations at Armageddon (those who tried to destroy Israel), ending this horrific time, and setting up His Kingdom on earth. Why no criticism of America’s completely pro-Israel resolution?

Because it’s the right thing to do both morally and intellectually.

Anyone who says that one side is completely in the right and the other completely in the wrong is a radical ideologue.

According to the radical idealogues who believe it’s OK for terrorist organizations to lob rockets at civilian jooooooooos! and not expect to get their asses kicked for it.

In this case, the United States and the United Nations are merely two faces of the same absurd coin.

True. The sane thing to do would be to allow Hamas to lob rockets at Israel, while Israel agrees to allow their women and children to be killed by those rockets.

The Globe and Mail has editorialized in support; the National Post and Toronto Sun will likely agree. The Toronto Star has put out a story sniveling about how Canada is no longer being even handed. They will have some difficulty straddling this issue editorially, however, because the Liberal leader (the party they support) has come out almost 4-square behind PM Harper’s view that Israel has the right to defend itself, and that the blame for civilian casualties in Gaza can be laid at Hamas’ doorstep.

The CBC has been silent so-far, but will oppose anything P.M. Harper supports.

That is just the Ontario and national stuff…regional will vary.

I saw Rush in ‘77, with UFO, on Rush’s A Farewell to Kings tour. Xanadu will always be my favorite Rush song. The concert was incredible. Sadly, and especially after Hemispheres, Rush lost its musical edge, and concerned itself with getting radio airplay. I held on until Moving Pictures, but lost interest in the band after that.

Still, it was a fantastic concert.
