Time will tell if “Bush kept us safe.”

I’m reminded of an episode of the Simpsons where Lisa picks up a rock and claims that it has kept them safe from tigers.

I’ll make a prediction. If there is a terrorist attack in the next year under the Obama administration, that you’ll be one of the first people to say that Bush didn’t do enough to keep us safe.

You can argue about style and substance, politics and belief systems, but one thing that cannot be argued with is that we have not been hit by terrorists since September 11, 2001. Despite a war on two fronts, despite crap approval ratings, despite intense anger by people of many different political backgrounds and citzenship in other countries…

Not one attack.

They’ve been attempted and there are facts on the ground that can prove it.

But not one has been successful.

You can argue endlessly about Bush 43. You can say a lot of things about him that are negatively true. But that one he’s got in the bag, regardless of how personally annoying this could be.

If there’s another attack, I will be pointing at all you muppets that believe that gubmint can keep us safe and asking you “has the penny dropped yet?”

If the car bombs, and nukes start detonating in the US,
folks are gonna long for the GW days of saftey,low unemployemnt,low taxes, and strong “all volunteer military.”

I hope attacks never happen….even though we gut the military,dismantle the CIA, and Gitmo.
And open our boarders wider than they are now.

These to guys were excellent in my book. I just wished
they had stayed more firm as far as tax cuts and bailouts.

But they were good for the US in the long run.
