A stand O for O. Wonder if they will be doing that in a year or so?

If there was the slightest bit of self-awareness, much less self-discipline in the liberal left, they would be now be saying: “Well, I guess all that stuff about Bush and Cheney destroying the Constitution and taking over as dictators was just a bunch of childishness that we really ought to be embarrassed about now.”

What they will actually say is: …..

Yes, being a liberal means never having to say you’re sorry, or feel embarrasment. That’s why it is so appealing to those of low integrity.

Lim, Cheshire Cat, indeed. To be sure, I ‘congratulate’ myself too, when I say that. I blame only the conservatives who voted for the O, the ones who voted for Paul, Barr, or their goat, the ones who stayed home, and the former “independents”, now ‘independents’.

I can never blame the other gnats, sheep and pigs at the trough, lead by their erudite and exploiting overlords, who claim to be “for the people”. Modern day serfdom is fully deserved. The idiots ask for it freely. Their own masters live like kings, and care not about their plebs. Do you think that Soros and the Obamas give a rats ars about anyone? If you do, you live on a different planet.

Not to pardon all the faults of the arrogant ‘leadership’ bunch from the right, who’re miraculously still in the same position. America, self included, deserve fully what we’ve asked for. May we suffer really, really badly, so we wake up, or perish as we used to be, as we’d deserve.

I never thought I’d live through the day when a free people voluntarily march toward serfdom. The “shiny city on a hill” was dimmed. Only now and then I see a flickering light, trying to hang on. Wake me up in a couple of years.

Entelechy on January 9, 2009 at 12:09 AM

You blame the conservatives for staying home? Funny, I blame people like you for not giving us a candidate we could vote for. Instead of nominating someone that actually believes in his party, you nominated a subversive who couldn’t articulate a message if you gave him a giant crayon. Who’s your personal trainer? An athlete, or a fat guy that’s trying to invent a moving floor so he’ll never have to walk again? The GOP isn’t the communist party; we don’t line up behind appartichiks because they demand it; you want our vote, do something to earn it. Moderates like you and the GOP said McCain, or else…we chose else. I’d rather stand for what I believe, and be rolled over, than kneel behind the likes of you, or John McCain. Take your ‘congratulations’, and stick it.
And honestly, what is with blaming the conservatives anyway? Didn’t you guys have your big moment in the sun when you got Backdoor John the nomination..oh I remember the crowing..’Conservatism is dead.’ ‘Rush Limbaugh is irrelevant.’ ‘We don’t need people like Ann Coulter anymore.’ Funny how when you got the nomination, it was the power of the moderates, the new breed, that would prevail. Then when your doddering wreck of a candidate got his a** owned by a nobody out of the most crooked political machine in the country, suddenly, it’s all the conservatives fault because we didn’t support him. I thought you didn’t need our support, Entel. I thought we were irrelevant. YOU got the candidate you wanted…the one who wanted to win without the conservatives..the one who was going to win using other demographics..which turned out to be a bunch of hogwash. YOU got the candidate you deserved…he sucked, we all knew he would never win..and he lost. You own it. You live with it. Stop trying to blame the ones you dismissed as irrelevant. Go look in a mirror and shut up.

………. and so it begins.

Say “good bye” to any accountability, free and open legislation debates, the filling of our courts with any objective judges who rule by law rather than by political ideology………..

Say “hello” to the masters behind the scenes of the leftist liberal Democratic party who used to hide in the shadows to corrupt our society, but are now free to run in the streets with the environmentalists telling you how to live your lives, where to work, what to eat, what to drive, and if need be, when to die…..

……… they are in charge, the American people voted for it, and now, for maybe two generations of propaganda, spin, educational influence, Hollywood movies, TV shows, the Press being totally in the bag, late night jokes, and on, and on, and on………..

……………. this is the end, people, mark your calenders well and remember to tell your children of a country that was once great and free.

My bet, the “Fairness Doctrine” passed under cover of Nancy Pelosi’s new rules within the first minute of Mr. Obama taking the “Oath of Office”……….

……… after that…….. well, I have prepared, I only hope you have also.

Here is to………….. fu#k it, here is to what was, and was squandered by the Republicans when they had the chance….

Remember that face of joy of Pelosi and all the other Democrats clapping and jumping for joy……….

………….. if anything else…….. remember that.

The socialist are at the gate.

Welcome socialized health care and socialized education, socialized.
Welcome government cap and trade policies and environmental activism
Welcome card check and Employee Free Choice Act.
Welcome economic stimulus and tax breaks to those that pay no taxes.
Welcome to spreading the wealth around and redistribution of our tax dollars.
Welcome to envoys to terrorist and recognition of Hamas.
Welcome to intelligence agencies with no intelligence.
Welcome to the United Socialist of America.

Once you start this… it’s hard to stop. Just look at Social Security.

…………. not very well, as a matter of fact.

Go look in a mirror and shut up.

austinnelly on January 9, 2009 at 12:42 AM

You have obviously missed Entelechy logical relevance.

Obama lead a campaign of hope and change, which appealed to a lot of people emotions.

See how that message has changed to gloom and doom now that he’s elected. Again driven by emotions.

I would love to hear the private re-telling of this by VP Cheney.

I would very much like to take care of my own money.

The people in DC obviously cannot be trusted with my money.

Kini on January 9, 2009 at 2:20 AM

What sickens me is the willingness of the Republican “leadership” in Congress to jump enthusiastically on the Stimulus Bandwagon, with a few meaningless bones thrown their way.

The economy always has and will run in cycles. All of this gloom talk is a sham, designed to make anything other than a total disaster look like a stunning success, with the Messiah Mistake basking in His reflected glory. The truly sad part is how many suckers are falling for this hogwash.

It’s all going according to plan. They have turned a naturally occurring economic downturn into a “desperate crisis” of epic proportions, with all of the oblicatory comparisons to the Great Depression. Next step is to pour massive amounts of our money (and our children’s) into their socialist projects and federally created (and dependant) jobs. Then, it’s all over but the crying, as our media is not likely to call attention to what is happening, since the majority are partial to the progressive agenda as a matter of course.

In a word, f@#%ed.

i have decided to celebrate jan.20,2009 by flying my flag upside down for the next four years.

samiam on January 8, 2009 at 10:49 PM

I’d question the patriotism of anyone who could fly the flag in non-distress position during these times. Maybe such a thing could become a popular movement to the point where the other occupants of the house would allow me to join in it. In the meantime, I’ll just keep it indoors.
