Sorry. I removed my Stars and Stripes and replaced it with the Lone Star. Just my .02 cents. I haven’t burned it or anything, just decided to draw a line. No, that is not right…..I carved the line in granite.

Wait, how can this be, Cheney isn’t part of the legislative branch!

The Vice President serves as president of the Senate, but cannot vote except to break a tie.

In other words, it’s good to be the king.
In Joe Biden’s case…. who am I and what am I doing here?

At present, there are fifteen executive departments. They are the departments of:

* Department of Agriculture (USDA)
* Department of Commerce (DOC)
* Department of Defense (DOD)
* Department of Education (ED)
* Department of Energy (DOE)
* Department of Health and Human Services (HHS)
* Department of Homeland Security (DHS)
* Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)
* Department of Justice (DOJ)
* Department of Labor (DOL)
* Department of State (DOS)
* Department of the Interior (DOI)
* Department of the Treasury
* Department of Transportation (DOT)
* Department of Veterans Affairs (VA)

Each department is subdivided into a number of agencies, bureaus and other divisions.

Obama will create a few new agencies.
* Department of Terrorist Affairs (TA)

Wasn’t the Department of Education created by Carter to give a tugjob to the teacher’s union that supported him?

In a democracy, you get what you deserve, or what you allow others to impose upon you.

The black wrist band I like! Flying the FLAG in any other way than perfect is not what I like. If anything we need to exhalt the flag even more, have it everywhere, anywhere proper and flying in all its glory. The o talks such doom and gloom that I dont listen to him or watch him at all and I will not be watching on the 20th. This is still America,albeit a very bad choice for a president and we need to keep the America we want! Please stay positive, love those around you and be on guard for your safety. We will get thru this and will live to tell the stories! Ok, my cheerleader hat has been put up for awhile! :)

Coastal Paradise on January 9, 2009 at 7:12 AM

Ill be flying the Gadsden high and proud starting the 20th old glory will be put away for while for safe keeping.

Last week I was reading an article in a local rag which said “patriotic” was now in and people were very proud of their country and proud to be an American because a black was elected president. I expect that we will see a lot of flags where none were seen before. People will want to show that they are progressive by displaying a flag.

jmarcure on January 9, 2009 at 7:38 AM

I doubt you will see flags from liberals. I work in NYC and don’t see any liberals flying any flags. In fact, I’d say there would be a net decline in flags, with conservatives putting away their flags not matched or outdone by newly minted liberal ‘patriots’ buying and flying flags. A liberal flying a flag is as rare a sighting as Nessie in Loch Ness. There is just some visceral twinge you can see in a lib’s face when flying the flag or any patriotic rite is mentioned.

eaglewingz08 on January 9, 2009 at 7:47 AM

I like the protest flag and the wrist band. But not the Jolly Roger. Our intent is not to be pirates but patriots fighting for liberty. Maybe something like the “Don’t tread on me” flags of the early revolutionary period updated for today’s poorly-educated masses who may think that wording is an ad for a tire company.

I thought about doing the same with the Bonnie Blue flag: a solid blue flag with a single star in the center. It was the national flag of the Republic of West Florida, today known as SE Louisiana, and the gulf coasts of Mississippi and Alabama.

The Vice President of the United States is the de facto President of the Senate. Notice how he used that title in his declaration.

Back to civics class for you, pal.

manwithblackhat on January 9, 2009 at 9:06 AM

Seriously. Pelosi, me and as many of her Philly thugs as she wants in an alley for 10 minutes. That’s all I’m asking.

watson007 on January 9, 2009 at 9:14 AM

Nancy Pelosi’s face is still the creepiest ever.

I’m not sure if I like her maniacal smile any more than her clueless, frozen espression.

He was goofing on Joseph Biden, VPEOTUS and Senator D-DE, for 36 years.

BKennedy on January 9, 2009 at 9:31 AM

Wait a minute! You mean to tell me that the Vice President IS the President of the Senate? I think Sarah Palin is owed an apology or two.

gwelf on January 9, 2009 at 9:44 AM

Since the first time I saw Peloci, when she gave a Democratic response to one of the State of the Union addresses, I’ve wondered how anybody takes here seriously (or would consider letting her anywhere near a position of power). She constantly looks crazed.

Count to 10 on January 9, 2009 at 9:57 AM

No, Nancy, I was laughing at you, not with you.

I will miss Darth Cheney. Anybody who inspires that much hatred, paranoia, and general fits of anger in the Left is a-okay in my book.

Lay-Z on January 9, 2009 at 8:48 AM

Actually, the Bonnie Blue was a big flag for Texas too. It was the flag of our republic for almost ten years. Here is a site that you can buy one at. That is what is going up at my house! At least to get the neighbors to ask why so we can start the discussion and ultimately the rebellion!

conservnut on January 9, 2009 at 10:20 AM

sorry to say i was there on the floor to see this. nancy’s daughter christine was in the front row of the gallery, obnoxious red sweater on and looking particularly pregnant. she was clapping and chanting “yes we can” the whole time and even her lib friends around her were annoyed.

I could see her all the way across the floor — that dumb frozen look is partially hereditary it seems.

gwelf on January 9, 2009 at 9:44 AM

Sarah Palin is owed a lot of apologies, to say nothing of some members of her family who were NOT running for public office. Like that’s gonna happen.

After catching up on this thread this morning …

if you have looked at the data that came from the election you will see that the electoral college votes, even though the final count was large, the individual States were very close and most were within 1-3% of the total vote. If you look at the breakdown of demographics of each State you will see that the minority voters in those States played a huge role as well as the youth vote. In addition, whether or not any one wants to accept it, the Hispanic vote was a turning point in Florida and New Mexico especially.

Now, given that the country has war fatigue, the MSM was the official campaign arm of Team Obama, it was traditionally a Democrats year after 8 years of Republicans, McCain’s campaign got to their feet too late into the game, Alexrod is a master magician of the Chicago Machine … and in the last weeks the economy became the driving force of the vote … based on all these things alone it is remarkable that McCain/Palin did as well as they did and we didn’t lose more House and Senate seats than we did. We didn’t lose this election because of ‘moderates’ or ‘true conservatives’ and IMHO, it’s time to stop the finger pointing and divisiveness and the arguing about who is welcomed into the GOP and who is not. We have much bigger fish to fry over the next 2-4 years.

And for me … as long as our brave warriors are laying their lives on the line so we can sit back here and enjoy the fruits of America .. Old Glory will fly over my abode, high and proud. Because that is who I fly my flag for.

Stages nations progress through:

1. From bondage to spiritual faith;

2. From spiritual faith to great courage;

3. From courage to liberty;

4. From liberty to abundance;

5. From abundance to complacency;

6. From complacency to apathy;

7. From apathy to dependence;

8. From dependence back into bondage’

What stage are we in?

Number 7

Thanks for the reminder. I almost lost my breakfast in the last seconds of the VIDEO. “Fancy Nancy” looked like the puppet she is. However, the puppeteer pulled the strings to fast to get her off of her @$$ and start clapping with that sickly “Cheshire Cat” grin of hers confirming the legislature has finally transformed itself into “Wonderland”.

Now watch them follow the “Yellow Post-It Road” to Oz and see if they will be allowed admission. When they realize they can not enter, Conservatives again will have to show them the light at the entrance of the Rabbit Hole that they fell into and dragged U.S. with them.
