Respect to Malkin, but what credibility does she have regarding economic expertise. I’d rather hear what experts with contrasting views on the subject have to say. Malkin’s an ideologue with a preconceived notions and an agenda…sort of worthless on this subject
Try Sowell and Williams.

Michelle is correct.

Bush ruined his legacy by rushing to support his uber-liberal economic advisors when they proposed the $700B bail-out of a manufactured crisis.

How could it be a world-ending crisis when a week before not a single red flag was being raised by those all-knowing experts?

Let’s run Jeb for a trifecta.

They should have foreclosed the mortgages and put their houses on the market to pay off the rest of the mortgage. People looking for a good deal would have eaten them up. The people that lost their house? They learned a lesson and they now can get into something that they can afford. Life is tough.

No, I do not have an economics degree or an MBA. But the people who continue to pour all our money into a bottomless sinkhole do.

No,Michelle; But you do have common sense and the ability to cut through the clutter and see the truth.

I do have that MBA+ and have done economic analyses for (state) government.....And I completely agree with what you have said throughout this thread.

And after going through a bunch of lousy leftist economics professors, I finally learned to understand it from one of the best... Allen Parkman, who was one of Reagan's top economic advisers in the first half of his first term. (It was after Allen left the administration that Reagan made most of his economics mistakes.)

Respect to Malkin, but what credibility does she have regarding economic expertise. I’d rather hear what experts with contrasting views on the subject have to say. Malkin’s an ideologue with a preconceived notions and an agenda…sort of worthless on this subject.

"Experts with contrasting views:" Like the Naked Emperor Hank Paulson? Talk about worthless.

At least "free-market ideologues" have rudders.

Judge my credibility by my record. Go through my entire archive on the subprime crisis over the last year. Compare my analyses and predictions about the road Paulson would lead the Chicken Little Congress to his ever-evolving TARP and poo-flinging-against-the-wall approach to "rescuing" the economy.

Quite a dust-up on Michelle back there. She is absolutely right on Dubya bursting the tttttttttrillion barrier for Barry (pardon my stutter). Reagan was so prescient about needing a balanced budget amendment. And the same supreme court that protects free speech for smut, but guts it for McCain Feingold, crushed our fiscal restraint efforts with its line item veto decision. Carry on Michelle. As for me, I pray every day that the world markets refuse to buy any more US bond paper. We can't spend it if they won't loan it.
