Nah. Maybe if she had served as a city councilman for 4 years.

Then as a Mayor for 6 years.

Then Governor for 2 more.

Or if she was still an actual sitting Governor.

But she is a Kennedy, so she still gets only a maybe from me.

Well. It appears that the Democrats really don’t give a fig for “Democracy”.

If they had any respect for it, these seats would remain vacant until an “election” thingy could be held.

The Founding Fathers set up a representative republic, not a democracy, and each state appointed their senators. If the 17th Amendment hadn’t passed, we wouldn’t be longing for term limits at the Federal Level.

Cuomo had been married to another Kennedy cousin but got divorced from Kerry Kennedy five years ago.

Apparently that was a mistake. They could have simply appointed Kerry and made both families happy.

soon enough, everyone will be related..

If Paterson has to choose between the Cuomos and the Kennedys, he may feel that an outsider will be his safest bet.
