Today, on the Ed Morrissey Show (special time today of 2:30 pm ET), we have two great guests. First, Mary Katharine Ham joins us again today to talk about how the Senate rejected Roland Burris today, how they’ll reject Al Franken when he arrives, and how Israel keeps rejecting Hamas. In the second half, author Larry Schweikart will discuss his new book, 48 Liberal Lies About American History: (That You Probably Learned in School). We should have lots of fun with this! We may also see a couple of proud-grandpa pictures of the newest Morrissey, the Little Scribe ….
We’re also holding a fundraising drive for Twin Cities Marriage Encounter. I’ll be posting PayPal buttons for one-time and automatic monthly donations to this non-profit, which tries to build stronger communities by strengthening marriages, on my show posts until the end of the year. We now have a matching challenge!. If we can raise $1500 by January 15th, an anonymous Hot Air reader will match those funds himself. Donations are tax deductible! Please note The Ed Morrissey Show or Hot Air on the memo line so that we can keep track for the match challenge:
Now you can join the conversation in the chat room! Be sure to register at Ustream to participate in our raucous live-chat sessions. (And if the log-in prompt doesn’t come up in the chat box below, use this link instead.) Jazz Shaw of The Moderate Voice moderates the chat, and he has his Troll Gun Trivia Contest running before the show, for those who get there early — and are registered!

Hey, where’s the body shot of MKH?
You know. The hot one?

What? You don’t like a classic HamNation screen cap?
Speaking of video, I do believe Ed promised us that this time around. Ed, don’t disappoint us.

While we await MKH’s return to TEMS, here is her latest video Obama – Don’t ask me no questions.

If you can find a way to make your show suck less, I’ll tune in.

Fort Bragg special ops soldier is killed outside a bar for playing the jukebox unnamed Jimmy Buffet song.
City official’s reponse: “It’s a shame it had to happen.”

The tropical backdrop isn’t enough for you?

Ed should at least do the show topless. Maybe a little rouge.

I bet the history books also fail to mention the Ku Klux Klan was founded as a branch of the Democratic Party, no doubt.

I still like the one Ed provided with mini-Obama. I liked that video. Showed it to my kids. We still sing it to this day. We clap and everything.

Replay only gives me 6+ minutes before stopping.

Did you try skipping ahead (by moving the slider bar)? I had to do that to get past the 6 minute mark, but once I got over about 13 minutes the rest of it played for me.
That opening music reminds me of Charlie Brown…which may not be entirely inappropriate, heh heh.
