Here’s what I saw:

Harry Smith criticizes Ann’s book, and incidentally Ann herself (strange how those liberal criticisms always become so personal)

Then Ann defends herself, and Harry Smith keeps trying to interrupt her ( ” Take a breath, take a breath, take a breath, take a breath” ) so he could move on to his next point, presumably the comment about her needing a cross to climb up on.

And because Ann keeps talking to finish her point while Harry Smith tries to interrupt her, you say she should quit just talking over him.

On the contrary, she should let Harry Smith speak once she finishes her point, and not before.

After all, she’s answering a question that he asked.

There are approximately 112.8 million households in the U.S. with televisions.

That means 3% of all households are watching CBS in the morning? No wonder they were so happy to get Ann.

Harry Smith thinks he’s “looked hate in the face” because his dipshit morning weather forecast and Hollywood gossip show has a window out on 5th Avenue in Manhattan’s east side?

Is he effing kidding me? Of course he is. What a pansy.

As for Harry Smith, I was luxuriating in the delicious richness of a whiny leftist CBS morning show host referring to Ann Coulter’s work as “sophomoric” and “goofy”.

Ann Coulter did more research in legitimate social science just to write the forward of her book than Harry Smith has done in his entire television career. What a total douche-wit.

I’ll consider the sources, and put my money on Ann every time.

Side note: this should put to rest any stupid notion that conservativism is dead. In fact, it is so dead that NBC, aka. the Messiah Broadcast Corporation, promptly did an about face when the news of banning Ann leaked. Now if we can just do the same over at Fox [S]news for Michelle …

No, it’s just a statement of fact, that, to most of us, the world would be much better if women didn’t vote. This is just a fact.

That doesn’t mean she wants the law changed.

Also, we’re not a direct democracy anyway, so your point isn’t quite valid on that front.

Sure, but she’s also correct. If women hadn’t voted, most of us here would prefer the government we’d now have.

But that argument doesn’t comport with basic democratic principles. If we banned blacks and hispanics from voting, we probably would have McCain in office too. Likewise with voters under the age of 30. But in a democracy, you don’t get to do that, and there are extremely compelling public policy reasons why you don’t get to.

So, making that statement doesn’t really advance the argument for why McCain lost. It’s just designed to “shock” people. It’s a lesser form of having the PETA people run around naked and throwing paint on women’s mink coats to protest animal rights issues… Completely irresponsible.

But I’m sure at the end of the day, he will pat himself on the back for the way ‘he showed her’.

And as usual, Ann made perfect sense. Harry Smith on the other hand was clueless and seems incapable of getting the point of anything Ann said or wrote (which is really not very complicated) such as the ludicrous distortion that she is making herself out to be the victim and is a “whiner”.
