Folks
Campain planners utilize proportionality when determining if a plan (or response) is acceptable. To wit, proportionality examines wether an action will be acceptable in terms of personnel, equipment, expected losses and probable outcome no matter what wikipedia tells you.
Note that the article didn’t tell you how far away the mortar team was, it only said that 120mm shells were used. Is it possible that the RANGE of the 120mm was the only weapon in the area that was able to reach the target? There is much more to campaign planning and execution and especially battlefield management than one isolated incident.

I am constantly amazed at the popularity among Americans for Netanyahu, even after admitting what a blunderer he was when he was previously prime minister. “Hit me again!”

And that doesn’t even take into account Bibi’s recent pronouncements that he wants to enter into a “dialog” with the Palis and eventually implement a 2 state solution.

Bibi would make a great UN ambassador. That’s about it.

Hamas counts on the world seeing this as Israel attacking a school. Being a UN school is even better. Propaganda is always about influencing sympathy for your side and hatred toward the other side. The effect has been enhanced by the leftist agenda bias of the press around the world. This is why newspapers and network TV are going the way of the dinosaur in the USA. Nobody trusts the press anymore because they lie or are biased to report favorably towards these poor insurgents and terrorists. The distruction of the news media both print and especially network news is payback for what they did to us in Vietnam. They lost their credibility.
Only FOX cable seems to be more or less willing to show both side. CNN the Clinton News Network couldn’t even get my girl Hillary elected. They used to be pretty good around 1990.

The propaganda wars…that is what we need to win.
