A little history on the Israel/Gaza conflict (that you won't see via U.S. media):

http://palestinian.ning.com/video/propaganda-promised-land

Funny...I didn't see anything on the Palestinian and Jewish women's peace march in Jerusalem. Media must have been out sick that day.

Hugh Hewitt interviewed Glenn Greenwald, who, like Ron Paul, takes the side of NO WAR.

When will Republicans learn...yes you J.P., that the reason you lost the last presidential election is because you started acting like democrats with your massive spending and warmongering? What was the result? Obamanation that will drive the stake further into the heart of the American Dream.

How did "bomb, bomb, bomb Iran" McCain work our for you? Not so well eh?

And Palin is your saving grace in 2012? HAHAHA!!

AnD Hannity all of a sudden is spouting "free markets" as if he knew what one really was!

Give me a break...

The republicans and democrats are cut from the same fascist cloth.

But keep criticizing Ron Paul J.P. and the rest of you. He was right about the economy and he's right about NO WAR!

So you’re saying that Ron Paul isn’t an isolationist just because he says so? ...

<blockquote>in his book, he goes out of his way to claim he is not an Isolationist(the ‘non-interventionist’ rhetoric) and then he claims that the evil neocons are actual “isolationist” and have “Isolated” us because of their Foreign Policy with Iraq, military bases, etc.

seriously, check out his book on amazon. You can keyword search. He also relies heavily on Far-left debunked studies on “Suicide Terrorism” by Robert Pape and does the dishonest spin, misinformation and half-truths on what the founders beleived in and actually did.

So you're saying that Ron Paul isn't an isolationist just because he says so? And Obama says he's not a liberal. Paul quacks the isolationist duck's quack, and I'm perfectly comfortable recognizing isolationist Kool-Aid for what it is. Many things make perfect sense in writing and when they are confined to ideas on paper. The real world is a place where the actors are in constant collisions with each other. To assume that isolation is even <em>possible</em> is folly.

After 20+ years in the House, Ron Paul hasn't gotten a single bill passed, or even voted on by the full House. He submits the same bills every year, mostly without bothering to get co-sponsors, long story short he has accomplished exactly nothing in all that time except spew a lot of anti-American propaganda.

Well, almost nothing, he has lined the pockets of special interests with hundreds of millions, likely multiple billions all told, with taxpayer's money. All the while being a breathtaking hypocrite and voting against his earmarks knowing full well they'll get passed anyway. Is it any wonder he gets reelected time and time again?

While Israel is the single largest recipient of aid, virulently anti-American Egypt is second, and if you tally all the aid going to muslem regimes, it far far exceeds what Israel gets. If the goal is to save taxpayers money (which Paul claims yet mysteriously forgets when it's earmark time), then the logical choice would be to stop funding islamic regimes.

But there is another factor to Paul's insistence over cutting off Israel, and it has nothing to do with money.

Along with being senile and having a mentally challenged following, Ron paul doesn't make any sense. He doesn't want the US to fight their attackers, He doesn't want Israel to fight their attackers. Sounds to me like he is waiting for his mommy to take a switch to our attackers.

as to your point on his course working, you are correct. The World is a Vacuum, what he's actually advocating for is for us to remove ourselves from it and let Russia, China and Iran seize this Vacuum, control trade and dominate the world.

These idiots are also stupid enough to praise Hong Kong as a libertarian paradise, and place to move to. Ignoring how Hong Kong as we know it came to be(British Colony, which they hate).

Idiots, with zero analytical thinking ability. The Anarcho Capitalist philosophy is easily summed up to be this: anti-Government doing anything, whatsoever, no matter what. Simpleton morons that they are

It is often the side-effect of genius that the simplest truths elude a complex mind. Dr. Paul advocates policies of isolation on these foregin issues without acknowledging that a policy of isolation only works to protect a nation's interest if the rest of the world agrees to allow us to become isolated. 'Staying out of it' has never been an effective strategy, nor has it been one that can be sustained over more than a year or two before those countries that want us to engage find a way to triagulate.

And that is just proceeding with the assumption that isolation is a prudent course, which I do not agree with. Dr. Paul did not even think that our actions in response to 9/11 were justified which leads one to think that he may simply be a pacifist.

Ron Paul needs to jam his head back up Alex Jones' butt and continue playing slap and tickle with the 911 Conspiracy freaks. Ron Paul must be the most stupid individual I've ever experienced in my life.

<blockquote>Maybe some of those noxious chemicals combined and got into Ron Paul’s cerebral cortex, because he sure seems brain-damaged to me.

LOL... I think you might be on to something! Maybe that's why most of his district overlook his sometimes eccentricity.. they recognize the symptoms.

Thanks!
I finally got off my lazy keister and looked up the map of that district that you linked to in an earlier comment. For some strange reason, I thought it was the Sugarland area, but I was very wrong, as you noted. I've worked down in the Wharton/ El Campo/Victoria area, and its definitely not too "uptown", as I recall.
Lake Jackson I only remember from dating a girl down there ages ago, and I still remember that fine fragrant bouquet from the cracking towers in that huge Dow chemical plant. Maybe some of those noxious chemicals combined and got into Ron Paul's cerebral cortex, because he sure seems brain-damaged to me.

Well I don't know about you guys but I have learned a lot more about Dr. Paul since this thread. Frankly if he had not taken a stance against Israel, to me he just would have been some nutty, but harmless old guy, who wants to save us from government spending or something. Kinda like Ross Perot, but without the charts.

But this thread invited research and the facts about Dr. Paul & his district are not exactly in agreement with the MSM propaganda.

So here's more <a href="http://blogs.chron.com/txpotomac/2008/04/ron_pauls_earmarks_for_fy2009.html" rel="nofollow">earmarks for 2009</a>, <a href="http://www.votesmart.org/voting_category.php?can_id=296" rel="nofollow">voting record</a>,<a href="http://www.opensecrets.org/politicians/summary.php?cid=N00005906#funds" rel="nofollow">campaign finances</a>.

And then there's this bi-polar position that <blockquote>Texas Gal on January 6, 2009 at 1:21 PM</blockquote> pointed out - he asks for earmarks and then votes against them. "I've never voted for an earmark in my life," he explained. "I'm against the tax system, but I take all my tax credits. I want to get their money back for the people."(<a href="http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=59380" rel="nofollow">link</a>)

The disparty between the press & the reality is almost Obamanistic. And we all know how difficult that is to overcome.

<blockquote>I don’t mind being a white martyr for the Faith(though I’m sure some here would prefer to see me become a Red martyr).
