There is indeed a circle of hell reserved for morally bankrupt cowards like Harry Reid.

My cousin got shot in the head by Iranians, while trying to improve the lives of Iraqis in Karbala, and Harry Reid pisses on him and every soldier, and then DARES to claim political credit when they succeed in spite of him.

To quote Geraldo Rivera, I’d spit on Harry Reid if I ever saw him.

Whatever Obama may be, I don’t envy the man for having the Democrats as the party he sort-of heads. (don’t let Harry or Howie hear that.) If he can get some of his old community organizer buddies together to bust some lefty kneecaps…

Problem is, most of the Republicans we might have counted on have been either been convicted, forced to resign, or unsupported in their reelection bid. What’s left? “mavericks” and mealy-mouths, with a bare handful of honest-to-goodness honorable men and women.

The follow-ups Gregory didn’t ask: If Petraeus is such a genius, why did Reid vow not to believe him if he reported progress at his 2007 Senate hearing? Why did he allegedly call Petraeus incompetent a few months later? Why was he one of only 25 Senators to vote against the resolution condemning MoveOn for the “Betray Us” ad? Why was he still declaring the surge a failure as late as December 2007, and even to this day insists that Iraq is in a state of civil war? The answer to all these questions is that…

That was the one thing about Bush and his administration. The lefties would outright lie about Bush, slandered him more like. The lie was repeated enough of Bush’s criminality with calls for impeachment from before 9/11, that the entire far left denigrated a sitting U.S. President for his entire 8 year term. They never gave Bush a chance to be a “Uniter”, as they weren’t having any compromise. Made me very angry that Bush didn’t come out on TV weekly in order to quell the lies against him, and the perpetrators who were acting in self interest and loyalty to their party over the best interests of their own country.

I’m guessing that there was no outcry about Reid being Mormon because (I’m guessing here, but real mormons may have a better handle on this) Reid is probably as good a mormon as Ted Kennedy is a good Catholic

One other bit of evidence regarding how slimy this weasel is: When he pushed through that “hush Rush” letter that got sent to Rush’s broadcasting syndicate and after Rush auctioned it off for a significant amount of money for the Marine Corps Law Enforcement Foundation, this piece of garbage made a statement to the effect that he was really pleased with how much money this letter was going to bring and trying to take credit for engineering the whole thing. A transcript of what Reid said:

“When I spoke to Mark May, he and I thought this probably wouldn’t make much money, a letter, written by Democrat Senators, complaining about something. This morning, the bid is more than two million for this. We’ve watched it during the week. It keeps going up, and up, and up. There’s only a little bit of time left on it, but it certainly is going to be more than two million. Never did we think that this letter would bring money of this nature,” said Senator Reid. “And for the cause, Madam President, it’s extremely good. Now everybody knows that Rush Limbaugh and I don’t agree on everything in life. Maybe that’s kind of an understatement. But, without qualification, Mark May, the owner of the network that has Rush Limbaugh, their auction is going to be something that raises money for a worthwhile cause. I don’t know what we could do more important than helping to ensure that children of our fallen soldiers and police officers who have fallen in the line of duty have the opportunity for their children to have a good education.”

So this evil senator, who tried to use the coercion of the US Senate to shut down a private citizen and then was rebuffed by that private citizen and publicly humiliated by having his Orwellian missive auctioned off for a charitable cause then tries to garner credit for the good results of his police-state like tactics.

Nevada, if you don’t oust this worm in the next election, you have no soul.

I’ve always attributed that quote to Goebbels. I think the Republicans are making a big mistake by not countering each and every lie told by the Left.

I am seriously wondering if Sen. Harry Reid might have guzzled a carton of expired Eggnog over the holidays. Or perhaps some flesh eating bacteria from the deserts of Nevada is eating away at his brain….
