Meet Elizabeth Lin Morrissey! Update: More pics!

posted at 1:56 pm on January 5, 2009 by Ed Morrissey

Our newest member of the family arrived at 11:28 am CT today!  Elizabeth Lin Morrissey weighs 7 lbs, 12 ozs, is 19″ long, and is doing very well indeed:

Missy’s a little tired but feeling very well.  David says he’s tired too, no doubt from the past week of waiting impatiently for Elizabeth’s arrival.  Missy was scheduled to get induced today after being so far overdue, but Elizabeth beat the deadline; Missy went into labor early this morning naturally and delivered quickly.  If Elizabeth can meet deadlines like that, she’ll make a natural writer — so I think we’ll call her the Little Scribe.

Here’s Grandpa meeting his second granddaughter for the first time:

I’m going to have much, much more later … and for the next twenty years, too.

Update: More pictures!   The First Mate got some grandma time:

Dad (the Mathemagician) finally got his picture taken with Elizabeth:

The Little Admiral meets the Little Scribe for the first time:

And the whole family gets their first picture together:

I’ll put together a slide show soon ….

Andrew Sullivan doesn’t believe this, and calls for maternity ward affidavits, birthing room video, and an exhaustive non-partisan investigation into the true identities of the mother/father/child…

Of course, Ed, you realize that, if you were instead a Progressive, this would be a burden instead of a blessing.

And our President-elect would have no qualms whatsoever about leaving that little burden to die in a hospital utility closet.

What has America done?

Wally on January 5, 2009 at 2:27 PM

David says he’s tired too
