In any case, the notion that a house of the legislative branch must abide by whatever a court of the judicial branch puts on paper, even in regard to their very own membership, is ridiculous on psychological and physical grounds. Moreover, it’s contrary to the duty of the members of all three branches of the Americans’ government to uphold the constitutional regime. The blogger’s acceptance of the supremacy of the courts over the other two branches of the government, even in the details of their own internal proceedings, seems to be an instance of thoughtless herd behavior.

Why would Patrick FitzGERALD wait 90 days to indict Blagojevich? By then, all the roaches will scurry for cover, and President Obama will pardon them all!

I thought Obamalala was going to bring us all together. Ironic that cronies from Chicago are giving Obamalala his first domestic heart burn. There is a big racial divide in Chicago Democratic politics and Blago is exploiting it the way Obamalala did. BlagObamaRhama for the next four years will get old for the voters that elected Obamalala. I don’t feel sorry for any. They should have known.

The voters WOULD have known if the MSM and/or the McCain campaign had done their jobs and exposed the BlagObamaRahma cesspool for what it is–Al Capone in total control of the government!

But the MSM were busy singing Hallelujah with tingling legs (give us this day our Daley bread!) at the feet of the empty-headed Wunderkind from Sh!+cago, while worrying about McCain’s age or Sarah Palin’s wardrobe, and McCain was too “honorable” to rattle some Sh!+cago cages and show the hundreds of skeletons tumbling out to the voters. The voters believed the lies, because no one told them the truth.

In a few months, the coup d’etat will be complete–President Obama will pardon Governor Blagojevich, and Congress, with the help of Senators Franken, Burris, and Sweet Caroline, will impose the unFairness Doctrine and silence the truth for good. Sieg Heil !!!

Did any one of the 50 senators think about their inability to actually DO anything about this situation before they rushed to sign on with Reid’s bullying tactics?

Not thinking things through is practically programed into the liberal DNA. Look at what happened with ethanol pushing the price of corn through the roof (and impoverishing millions of Mexican campesinos). What kind of genius would it take to see that coming? It’s like a story problem a 5th grader could solve. Or Obama saving electricity by putting 3 million electric cars on the streets. I swear if these guys were tree trimmers, they’d saw off the limb they were sitting on.

Illinois voters disgusted with Blagojevich will now become equally disgusted with the fools in Springfield who allowed Blagojevich to fill Obama’s remaining two years with a party insider.

This will work if, and only if, the Republicans get off their backsides and really push this for the next two years. Don’t let anyone forget what happened, when the appointee stumbles — issue a press release reminding the people of Illinois how this all came about. That’s how the Democrats do it.

Of course, with a Democrat media, this is harder for the Republicans. It’s a lot easier when you have an entity like AP on your side who will throw in those little jabs in every story (e.g., “Bristol Palin, daughter of failed Vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin”) to help the Dems win the image war.

So, when do the Republican/conservatives start buying out the failing media and implementing a truly balanced press, or one more favorable to the conservative side?

Does anyone really think a Republican can win anything in IL? I mean come on people. This is a nice little side show and fun to watch. But a year from now nobody will remember any of it and IL will go back to being a 100% Democrat state run by criminals like Obama.

Actually, most people in IL and both the Democrat and Republican parties really believe that this is seat would go to a Republican… probably not Lt. Dan or Mike Ditka, but Republican Rep. Mark Kirk. He won an extremely difficult House race on the North Shore against an Obama lookalike in an district that voted for Obama by over 60%. He is very moderate on social issues, but is a fiscal conservative and a great friend of Israel. (The IL-10 district has a big Jewish presence). The buzz on all the IL blogs is that the Dems. were all for having the special election until the political consultants ran the numbers and realized that Kirk would probably win.

Or have we been thrown enough red meat and circuses to agree with Obama’s staff’s assessment that Blago is a maverick and Obama and Rahm (curiously hiding) are no longer the issue?

And the obvious best solution is a new election for the Senate seat…which maybe the Republicans can win.

but the legal solution is letting the Governor appoint the senator. Isn’t it just too bad when the law gets in the way of allowing the lawmakers to do whatever they want. ‘obvious and best’ isn’t usually ‘right’.

Even if the Dems fracture badly now, a Dem is going to win this seat in a couple years. Who will the Repubs run? Oberweis, the perennial loser? One of the increasingly out of touch country club types? Alan Keyes?

Blago can afford to raise his middle finger to the entire Dem establishment, knowing that no matter what he does, the seat will remain in Democrat hands.
