I have been thinking about this for a while.

The day after the election, I realized that the RNC would do itself well if it commissions a study on the public’s opinions about them, maybe by asking questions that are concealed in such a way that those studied will not know that it is being done for the GOP. The purpose of the study would be to pinpoint at the core cause(s) of the misfortunes of the GOP brand. That would be key.

It is like that study that Avon commissioned years ago for the same purpose, conducted by a marketing firm nationwide. The study found some interesting answers to the question of “What comes to your mind when you hear the name ‘Avon’?”, but the one that stuck out like a sore thumb was this one: “My grandmother sold Avon!”

It would surprise me not a bit if the one answer that comes out of a survey on the GOP comes out as “My grandfather was a Republican voter/official/caucus member!” Of course, with the other negative fare that comes with it.

The results would send tremors throughout the party and force it to make a decision: to either continue with the party, or to disintegrate it and start something new. I seriously think that a demise of the party and the creation of something newer, better and forward-looking would do wonders for many Conservatives and Libertarians.

When a brand like the GOP is so damaged that any effort to improve it is met with negativity, whether you try hard enough or not, maybe it’s time to consider that the brand is not worth saving. It served a good purpose in the past, but it has probably gone down, to never rise again.

This guy sent out these CDs to so many people for Christmas, right? So, one of those people must have alerted the media to it and made it into a story. Right?

This means that someone on his mailing list that he sent this to wants to try and harm the guy’s chances of rising in the GOP. So, who is it that got this stuff to the media so they could mangle it all into some story that tries to paint the GOP as racist?

I’d like an answer to that before anything else.

EVERY black I know and have asked about the use of the word NEGRO has told me that it is not offensive or a “slur” as some media are calling it.

If the word NEGRO is so damn bad then does that mean that the racist pro-black groups like the NAACP and the Nation Of Islam will be telling the Journal Of Negro Education to change the title of their journal and website?

I was under the impression that “Negro” isn’t as offensive as that other “N” word. But regardless, my opinion is that no, we should not let the left define the debate and the words used in it, especially when they use those words first.

In addition, let’s not forget that the Civil Rights Act of 1964 was made possible by a majority of Republican Senators and Representatives as opposed to the ratio of Democrats in both houses.

The Senate version:

* Democratic Party: 46-21 (69%-31%)
* Republican Party: 27-6 (82%-18%)

The Senate version, voted on by the House:

* Democratic Party: 153-91 (63%-37%)
* Republican Party: 136-35 (80%-20%)

It was Hussien who made much hay about how he doesn’t look like all the other President’s on the money (guess he forgot about Ben Franklin) and how he has a funny name, and that he’s (…gasps…) black.

It could have been worse, the song could have used the same word used by every rapper who has a recording contract and Jesse Jackson talking about every black person in America who Obama was “talking down to” and how JJ was going to “cut his n***s off”.

When JJ and the rappers are held accountable, then wake me up from my nap…. otherwise this just HAS to be a distraction.

I have a problem with the lazy Republican cowards choosing THIS as their fight when they don’t have the b&lls to stand up for anything important.
