Disgrace: Ahmadinejad to deliver “alternative” Christmas message on British TV

On the first day of Christmas my true love gave to me: A terrorist Holocaust-denier invited by useful idiots to tell me why Jesus would want Iran to have the Bomb.
Full transcript at the Times of London:
If Christ were on Earth today, undoubtedly He would stand with the people in opposition to bullying, ill-tempered and expansionist powers.
If Christ were on Earth today, undoubtedly He would hoist the banner of justice and love for humanity to oppose warmongers, occupiers, terrorists and bullies the world over.
If Christ were on Earth today, undoubtedly He would fight against the tyrannical policies of prevailing global economic and political systems, as He did in His lifetime. The solution to today’s problems is a return to the call of the divine Prophets. The solution to these crises is to follow the Prophets – they were sent by the Almighty for the good of humanity…
We believe, Jesus Christ will return, together with one of the children of the revered Messenger of Islam and will lead the world to love, brotherhood and justice. The responsibility of all followers of Christ and Abrahamic faiths is to prepare the way for the fulfilment of this divine promise and the arrival of that joyful, shining and wonderful age. I hope that the collective will of nations will unite in the not too distant future and with the grace of the Almighty Lord, that shining age will come to rule the earth.
And the predictable defense:
Dorothy Byrne, head of news and current affairs at Channel 4, said: “As the leader of one of the most powerful states in the Middle East, President Ahmadinejad’s views are enormously influential.
“As we approach a critical time in international relations, we are offering our viewers an insight into an alternative world view.”
In the U.S., the fault line between acceptable “alternative world views” and perspectives so vile as to be unfit for public consumption is a preacher who’s done good work for AIDS victims but is tepidly opposed to gay marriage. In Britain, it’s this turd — and as it turns out, he’s on the right side of the line. This is the same cretin who humiliated British sailors on worldwide television; who provoked an international standoff over a nuclear program that will end up starting an arms race in the Middle East; and who’s been sending weapons into Iraq for years to do to British soldiers there what was done in Afghanistan to last year’s “alternative message” presenter. It’s because of all that, not in spite of it, that he’s being handed this platform — on Christmas Day, as a de facto rebuttal to the Queen, to invite his audience in a thinly veiled way to convert. Imagine the contempt you’d have to have for your country to give him the opportunity.
But then, this is Channel 4. Among Britain’s many useful idiots, they’ve been very useful indeed, especially during yuletide. Exit question: Any chance of a boycott, British readers?
Update: Here’s the real point, belatedly. If it’s all about insight into “alternative world views,” why not just interview him and run it on Friday? Why give him the Christmas slot? There’s no way to read this except as a middle finger.

Is there such a thing as a GOOD British media outlet? Any at all?

While they’re at it, why don’t they just give him his own radio talk show, “Living Jihad”? Giving a microphone to this incredibly small minded man is like turning a camera on a Hollywood actor. They just can’t resist saying something stupid.
When intelligence gives way to political correctness (which this NOT) a recipe for disaster is brewing.

What they will not allow is the mainstream viewpoint of Christmas. England is systematically purging all public expressions of Christianity on grounds that Muslims might find them offensive. Today’s BBC would never hand over a block of airtime to a believing Christian to talk about the meaning of Christmas.

Funny, Jesus Christ is, allegedly, recognized as a Prophet by Muslims, yet, they disregard the words of the Prophet and find a need for Muhammad.
Mark 14:61 – … Again, the high priest asked him, and said unto him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed? [62] And Jesus said, I am: …
John 4:25 – The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: … [26] Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he, …
John 9:35 – Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God? [36] He answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on him? [37] And Jesus said unto him, Thou hast both seen him, and it is he that talketh with thee.
Oh well, so much for the words of the Prophet.

So when the Islamic Holiday’s come around, the Times of London will be running a story about how Mohammed was a pediphile?
PappaMac on December 24, 2008 at 1:39 PM
Oh Channel 4 has always been the terminally hip channel which likes to stick a finger in the eye of the boogiewasie at holiday time. One year they had some Muslim woman complaining about not being able to wear her hijab as the alt Christmas message. Anything to insult Christians on their major holiday. It’s kind of pathetic really, given that Christians must be a minority in Britain now. They should stick them all in a museum.

This guy is a real comedian. This is totally designed to get the West’s knickers in a twist, yet all it does is make me laugh at how truly bizarre he is. Should Christians riot and burn him in effigy? How about issue murderous threats towards him? Mr. Ahmadinejad and his administration’s use of religion to creat ‘the other’ and incite rage and hate could learn a lot here.
His talking about what Jesus would do or think is just about as valid as the same thing coming from Charles Manson.

I was born in England 56 years ago, the son of a Church of England priest and former Royal Marine chaplain in WWII. We celebrated Christmas in the traditional English way and Christmas dinner was always timed so that we could watch the Queen’s speech as a family afterward. My father would stand at attention during the national anthem and have tears in his eyes as she came on air and god-forbid that anyone made a sound as she was speaking to us.
Today I am an American citizen and US Army veteran and thank God I made the decision to leave England in the 1970’s. But I mourn for my homeland and what’s become of it. The Church of England has become a shadow of its former self and the PC crowd is close to destroying everything I grew up to value and respect. My poor father is spinning in his grave.
Incidentally, this Easter I will complete the RCIA program and become a Catholic. Sorry dad, but I get the feeling you understand and approve.

Congratulations on the citizenship. Remember, you can no longer spell anything with “our” as in colour, valour, labour, honour, and so on.
What is happening in Europe now is our future here. I live in East Tennessee, and the things I hear from Dearborn Michigan and Minnesota are very discouraging.
Pelayo on December 24, 2008 at 2:07 PM
I think that you’re missing the point somewhat. Its not the Muslims who are destroying Britain (at least not yet) but the British/EU establishment itself. They initiated mass immigration, multiculturalism and anti-discrimination laws.
They are the ones who have made it illegal to say boo to a Muslim and if Britain is occupied territory (and I think it is) then in my opinion they will have to be dealt with first. If it were up to you what would you do? How would you rescue Britain?
aengus on December 24, 2008 at 2:09 PM
So you get the Queen on one channel and Ahmadinejad on another. Who cares?
In one corner — The British monarchy killed about a million over the years in Ireland, never saw the error in their ways (or apologized) in slave trading, decimated the Aborigine population in Australia. I won’t bother with the death and destruction related to centuries of colonialism.
In the other — Another in a long line of little Iranian pisant terrorists.
Am I comparing the two? Not really but with the British public tolerance of the monarchy and their atrocities, who is surprised that a segment of the population would want to give this d-bag a platform.

When Dinnerjacket typically speaks to the West, he makes sure he invites us to join Islam- supposedly, you have to invite the infidels to your religion three times before attacking. Did he already invite the West three times? He must have, since this would have been the ideal opportunity for him to welcome the Infidels of Britain to Islam.
Unless he already considers Britain to be an Islamic nation.

I wonder if Ahmadinejad is just puffing up his “honor” by insulting the west. When the west does not respond with protests/riots and calls for his death, his “honor” society presumes that the west is cowed and has given its “honor” up ot him.

It wouldn’t necessarily have to all be done in one fell swoop. It would probably be best to start by deporting agitators and limit the practice of religion ton encourage others to leave.
But a desirable end result would the reduction of the Muslims to near undetectable levels. Its not like they will be missed by anyone. Except maybe the Labour Party.
The problem is not the mindset of individual Muslims but a religion (Islam) which calls upon its adherents to permanently subjugate, kill and convert of all non-believers. Only disowning Islam through public apostasy would be enough.

Yes, that is a very good quote and nicely segues into what I was saying above that “[i]ndividual Moslems may show splendid qualities” but that doesn’t mean any high concentration of Muslims should be permitted to settle in Britain.
No it doesn’t seem likely at the present moment. When I initially raised the prospect of a non-liberal solution your knee-jerk reaction was to ask about concentration camps.
My point is that if it doesn’t happen then the West will be destroyed therefore it must happen. It would have once been unimaginable for millions of Muslims to be living in the West in the first place. If they can arrive, they can also be made to leave
But it’ll only happen if people are willing to support it, which I do. At the very least anyone suffering from Chamberlain/Churchill Personality Disorder (as a lot of commenters on this site are) should have no problem taking a similar stand on this issue and being unafraid of liberal opinion.
I would apply the same argument for removing the 20 million or so illegal Mexican migrants from the U.S.

The other side of the problem is, of course, the antipathy and anti-British feelings of the British themselves. Thhey have become so ‘nanny-stated’ that most will no longer get off their arses to get themselves a cup of tea, let alone rise up against the overthrow of their country. Gone is the ‘Land of Hope and Glory’, gone are patriotism, civility, the church, discipline, education. An essential part of the solution rests in restoring those values and beliefs to the British people. How do we accomplish this?
Trafalgar on December 24, 2008 at 3:12 PM
Churchill also failed to make a convincing argument for preventing foreign immigration to Britain in the first place. In his book Churchill: The Unexpected Hero (Oxford University Press, 2005, p. 233), discussing Churchill’s second government of 1951-55, Paul Addison writes:
“He tried in vain to manoeuvre the Cabinet into restricting West Indian immigration. “Keep England White” was a good slogan, he told the Cabinet in January 1955.”
Our hypothetical Prime Minister would have to do what Churchill and Enoch Powell failed to do: articulate a coherent moral rationale on which to oppose mass Third World immigration. Powell was denounced as racist as might Churchill have been if the Conservative Party had been foolish enough to run with his slogan.

I do worry though that the ultimate nanny-state now existing in Britain has all but eliminated the self-preservation traits of individual Britons. They have a history of standing up to threatened invasions for almost a thousand years, but now seem individually and collectively unable to raise much concern about one that has already occurred, let alone do anything about it. Thanks. I’m always in the market for a good book. Especially ones that shore up the gaps left by an American public school education. :)

Jesus Christ has nothing to do with today’s hebrew nation…
In case you didn’t know…the “israeli” hebrews in palestine OPPRESS and PERSECUTE Christians there to this very day.
The judaizers are no friend of Christ.
In fact they are the opposite.
Judaism is an anti-christ religion(as is islam).

I’ll go ahead and say that if this occurs, and we see “signs and wonders” with it, we will be seeing not Jesus but a false prophet and the anti christ…FOR REAL. At that point, we have to know that the only book which foretold all this would be the bible…and it also tells the end story. Be reconciled to God, friends!

But without Judaism there would be no Christianity
