Plugs Biden wrong! How could that be?

LOL – Hot Air tested, AceOSpades approved.

if the metaphorical “S%%% hits the fan” the next few years, Cheney may actually be viable at that point.

Now, if we could only figure out a way to articulate what Cheney represents, through the MSM filter and remain politically viable we will have made ‘real change’

jp on December 22, 2008 at 12:55 AM

Made me feel safer too, from the get-go.

Like others have said, the adults are leaving office.

Here’s a strong, straight-forward guy, being replaced by . . . a buffoon.

Actually, I think (from the train interview with Katie Couric) that Biden is suffering from the beginnings of dementia and won’t be in office long.

Thank you, Dick Cheney, for your fine service.

Alana on December 22, 2008 at 1:32 AM

I absolutely adore how the left, MSM, code pink, nutroots, and just about every democrat loony bin type foamed at the mouth in 2000 and again to the powers of Infinity™ in 2004.

They tried and tried and tried so hard to pin anything on Bush and Cheney, They invented high crimes and misdemeanors, practiced a mock court in the congressional basements for the inevitable trials that never came, and they even made a movie about the presidents assassination in hopes a celluloid fantasy would magically give them solace.

And now, it’s over. Their time has run out to make their magical frog march a reality. Their Nixonian dreams shattered and fading.

So now begins the age of the One. Already ripe with scandals and the coronation inauguration hasn’t even arrived!

Watching Dick Cheney snicker at telling Joe “the chia pet” Biden to fטck himself.

PRICELESS!

Kini on December 22, 2008 at 1:50 AM

Dick Cheney: A most excellent VP and patriot! Thank you for your stewardship of our country. You have always been my hero. You will be missed.

onlineanalyst on December 22, 2008 at 2:48 AM

lol…You gotta love a guy who doesn’t give a damn about the opinions of those on left and isn’t afraid to say so.

I just hope they manage to get Bin Laden just before Obama’s inauguration so as to finish Bush and Cheney’s time in the White house with a victory in the war on terror so as to rub the lefts nose in it and steel some of Obama’s thunder on the day he is supposed to coronated king of the world (Or alternatively Lord of the left wing Douche Bags as I like to think).

Dreadnought223 on December 22, 2008 at 3:27 AM

How can U not love this guy? LOL

Dritanian on December 22, 2008 at 3:53 AM

At least Cheney fights back.

Dollayo on December 22, 2008 at 4:39 AM

At least Cheney fights back.

Dollayo on December 22, 2008 at 4:39 AM

What a novel idea! Fight back!

Someone e-mail the RNC and let them know of this great idea. Maybe they could even stand up for our principles!

Squiggy on December 22, 2008 at 5:31 AM

Thank you, Vice-President Cheney, for your service. The future comparisons with Joe Biden will be priceless.

SKYFOX on December 22, 2008 at 6:18 AM

God I love that guy, I always wished he was POTUS and W was vice president. I have a fantasy of Dick looking at Pootie-Poot and saying F%ck-off you little midget!

conservnut on December 22, 2008 at 6:53 AM

I’ve always loved Dick Cheney and have felt that he’s been a victim of a hapless and pathetic GW! I don’t think Cheney would have done the same silly things that our poor Mr. President has done to appease the left! Thanks for your service Mr. Vice President and God Bless!

sabbott on December 22, 2008 at 7:08 AM

Telling Lehey to go F Himself has got to go down in history as one of the best lines ever delivered by a sitting Vice President of the United States…especially when he admits it and says that the Senator “merited it at the time”…LMAO!!!

sabbott on December 22, 2008 at 7:11 AM

I love Cheney, too, but he did give us the “Hoover” comment recently.

jgapinoy on December 22, 2008 at 7:45 AM

it will interesting to read what really went on behind the scenes at the white house. did cheney make most of the policy/decisions?

Anyone with an education was struck dumb by Bidens lies and inaccuracies in the Palin debate. Not a peep in the press about a single one. Biden can’t hold a candle to Cheney in any way. “Biden teaches the constitution back in Delaware”? LMAO

marklmail on December 22, 2008 at 8:23 AM

Ref the Biden v Pallin debate:

“He (Biden) also said that all the powers and responsibilities of the executive branch are laid out in Article I of the Constitution,” Cheney said in a interview that was conducted on Friday. “Well, they’re not. Article I of the Constitution is the one on the legislative branch.”

“Joe’s been chairman of the Judiciary Committee, a member of the Judiciary Committee in the Senate for 36 years, teaches constitutional law back in Delaware, and can’t keep straight which article of the Constitution provides for the legislature and which provides for the executive. So I think I’d write that off as campaign rhetoric. I don’t take it seriously.”

Smack down!

Had the media been doing their job they would have focused on the serious defects of slo-Joe, the elder, wiser statesman.

Biden wants to shrink wrap the role of vice presidency down to a size that fits him personally. As a result, Joe will probably be reduced to giving White House tours to school kids by year two.

moxie_neanderthal on December 22, 2008 at 8:28 AM

I assume the quotation of the day was what Cheney said to Leahy, who did merit it at the time. Sometimes an adult has to use Pattonesque language.

Phil Byler on December 22, 2008 at 8:34 AM

To steal an old quote-
After Cheney, the only place to see a Lion is in a zoo.

jjshaka on December 22, 2008 at 8:34 AM

Let me be the first to say. When Dick Cheney writes his memoirs and he will. He will tear a hold in the Democrats that will be a long time being repaired.

I want to read the book that he writes.

Jdripper on December 22, 2008 at 9:15 AM

I love this man, in a non-homo way of course… rofl! This is the type of proud American that will be VERY, VERY missed. He loves America, has worked to keep us safe, wants a strong military and is NOT ashamed to be a man. The true males in America are a dying breed, wussed by the media, movies and the thought that women “want” a girly metro-sexual man… F-that, the women I know want a MAN, to protect them, love them and care for them, be a Father, raise a competent child and be a partner for life… America is doomed to failure until MEN wake up and take back our place in the family unit and “lead” and love and respect. Cheney IS that type of person and I will miss his leadership. God bless Dick and President Bush.

PS: I know that these men are NOT perfect, many issues they worked on I hated. They made many wrong turns, but I still respect thier LOVE for America and promise to help keep us all safer after 9/11.

Mark Garnett on December 22, 2008 at 9:17 AM

I love Dick Cheney. I remember how he destroyed Edwards in the 2004 VP debate. He made Silky Pony Edwards look like a little nipple baby.

Cheney represents a serious, no nonsense and non-frivolous side of politics that is totally missing in congress.. You put him next to Pelosi or Reid and its just no contest in terms of gravitas.

I think the reason Cheneys detractors despise him to the point of insanity is they know he is not fooling around and saying stuff just for the sake of politics. They know he actually means what he says and will pursue policies that he lays out in interviews and speeches. On the other hand, I don’t know anyone who takes Pelosi and Reid seriously

Dick Cheney – reaching across the isle… to LAYETH THE SMACK DOWN!

oh wait, wrong thread.

Jesus, can we put a new ticker in Dick and get him to run in 2012, please?

Alden Pyle on December 22, 2008 at 9:59 AM

Dang I love that guy. What else is there to say?

wytammic on December 22, 2008 at 10:04 AM

I have nothing but respect and admiration for someone who could spend so much time in Washington and remain a real person with REAL convictions. Oh and I’m all for Biden’s desire to restrict the VP’s responsibilities — the less that man has to do, the better!

njpines on December 22, 2008 at 10:08 AM

I think George W could have had a successful second term, if he only had the sense to resign and let Cheney be president at the start of it.

Right_of_Attila on December 22, 2008 at 10:15 AM

So… he said go “Elf” yourself right?

I real man is about to leave office. God speed Dick Cheney. His wife rocks as well.

Mojave Mark on December 22, 2008 at 10:18 AM

I don’t care what anybody says, I thinks Dick Cheney is teh hawt.

KelliD on December 22, 2008 at 10:39 AM

Palin is not a lock for 2012 the way that McCain is not a lock for a dirt nap in the next decade or so. Especially after he isn’t reelected for Senator. As his star fades, Palin’s grows.

Nice to see Cheney come out swinging. Unlike Bush, his testicles are not in a lock box. He should go on the lecture circuit and drive the Left insane.

We have not heard the last of Dick Cheney.

If I were a student in Biden’s constitutional law back in Delaware, I’d want my money back.

Kini on December 22, 2008 at 11:48 AM

Alana on December 22, 2008 at 1:32 AM

Apparently not many people outside of Delaware know this, but Biden has had 2 brain aneurysms. Seriously. It could explain some of his drunk-like behavior on the campaign trail.

There’s definitely a blown fuse, or something else that’s “not right” beneath those hair plugs. I kind of feel sorry for the guy, but never enough to vote for him or cut him any slack now that he’s holding the second highest office on the planet. If he’s not capable for whatever reason, he should be replaced.

Palin/Cheney 2012. Lock’n'load, let’s roll.

the_nile on December 22, 2008 at 12:05 PM

Fitting thread. The old liar spouting the same tired talking points that lost the election while the bums on this thread still have their blinders on. People on here thanking him for X many years of Democratic rule.
X equals the number of years it takes for the people describe above to remove their heads from their @sses. We might as well just restart the WHIG party, it would probably be a more successful venture.

The Biden thing especially is rather childish at this point. It was a gaffe in the debate, usually things that insignificant have an expiration date of election day. But if its all you have left and you are being interviewed by a guy that won’t ask you any meaningful followup you might as well run with it.

LevStrauss on December 22, 2008 at 12:16 PM

Thank you, Mr. Vice President. We were blessed for 8 years, having this intellectually honest, plain-speaking, level-headed man presiding over the Senate. Note to Joe Biden, it’s in the Constitution.

tkmcp on December 22, 2008 at 12:33 PM

Telling Lehey to go F Himself has got to go down in history as one of the best lines ever delivered by a sitting Vice President of the United States

Yea it would be great if Biden went around the Senate telling right-wing Republicans to eat **** and die, that would be awesome! That’s the kind of Senate where the work of the American people is effectively conducted. Brilliant.

bayam on December 22, 2008 at 12:55 PM

The Biden incident is well beyond a “gaffe”. If Biden were a lay person, then you could call it a gaffe, but to have someone, who’s been on the judiciary committee for umpteen years and allegedly teaches Constitutional Law, make such a mistake is inexcusable. That would be like a mathematician claiming, in a debate, that the square root of 2 isn’t irrational. It is a totally inexplicable and inexcusable mistake. … No, when you teach Constitutional Law (we’re assuming the US Constitution) and sit on the judiciary committee, you are expected to at least know the broad brush strokes of the Constitution.

But if its all you have left and you are being interviewed by a guy that won’t ask you any meaningful followup you might as well run with it.

LevStrauss on December 22, 2008 at 12:16 PM

Cheney has never had any problems with any interviewers or any debates. You can dream about him getting tripped up by questions and follow-ups all you want, but they will have to remain dreams of yours, since Cheney has a clear, consistent view of the world that comes across every time he speaks.

Now, the Precedent-Elect, or his retarded sidekick, hardly ever have any idea what they’re talking about and they count on the press “forgetting” their nearly non-stop torrent of gaffes, mistakes, lies, and generally moronic ideas.

progressoverpeace on December 22, 2008 at 1:25 PM

YEAH Cheney!! Bleep’em all!

RobCon on December 22, 2008 at 1:43 PM

When I commented earlier about the stunning drop-off in talent from Cheney to Biden, I didn’t even know about their own comments and Biden’s hilarious ignorance of the constitution. We now have a President and a VP (elects) who both are paid by college leftists to teach constitutional law, and one of them is demonstrably ignorant of that document, and the other is a fraud.

Good grief.

Another commenter mentioned that it will be 20 years before historians are able to take a clear view backwards at the Bush administration, and I think that’s right.

Too much bias and venom is now invested in hating Bush and Cheney for any of them to see what we all know – that the last seven years of aggressive military action against the jihadis are the first seven years that any President has invested in this long, long overdue fight. We may not have been attacked again here in the U.S., but our interests continued to be attacked throughout the world. By changing the playing field, I think Bush did much to keep the country safer, despite O’Biden’s ignorant claim.

Look, seriously, into why he said it and what that weasel said to his face, then to the media, then back to his face, again. If you had such a ‘friend’ you should treat him even worse than Mr. Cheney did.

I’d approve of your suggestion if it were executed for similar reasons.

If he [Biden] wants to diminish the office of Vice-President, that’s obviously his call”

He did that by running and getting elected. It will continue.
